CONFETTI CAMERA

In this weekly (usually Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.
For this round each of our designers are showcasing our ink and cardstock in their favorite color palette.  This is a fun way to see what you can do with your Confetti Colors!
A couple of things to note:
1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.
2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.
In the spotlight today is the talented, LAURIE SCHMIDLIN…

Hey there! It’s my turn to share what I came up with for the Color Me Mine! Confetti Camera challenge! There are very few things that excite me more than gorgeous colors and Reverse Confetti has some of the best colors out there!

When it comes to Christmas, I normally am all about the traditional colors but this particular color combo is just too fun not to try! I chose the following Confetti Colors: Lagoon, Magenta, Iced Aqua, and Parakeet.

One of my favorite things to do to showcase fun color combos is to use bold and graphic images. I thought the Merry & Bright stamp set would be perfect for this! I started by die cutting five lights using the Merry & Bright Confetti Cuts die and then stamping each one with a separate color.

Another thing I like to do to really allow colors to pop is to pair them with a black background. For my background, I chose to add a black die cut panel, die cut from the Large Eyelet Cover Panel Confetti Cuts die.

For embellishment, I added some Baker’s Twine and festive greenery, die cut with the Holly Confetti Cuts die set.

What about you? Do you stick with traditional Holiday colors or do you like to explore different combos?

. . . . .
