HAPPY FALL-IDAYS: CHRISTMAS

Greetings, ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s our third and final day of this 2nd annual HAPPY FALL-IDAYS celebration here at Reverse Confetti!  I’m sure you have enjoyed the Halloween and Thanksgiving projects that we have shared the last two days and we have a fun finale for you with Christmas today!

. . . . .

Being that I did banners for days 1 & 2, I thought that I would keep with the same theme for today.

dsc_0307

The bases for this banner with cut from the TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts die set.

Each end is cut from kraft cardstock and then adorned with a bow created from the LAYERED BOW Confetti Cuts die set.  I topped it off with a button tied off with CHARCOAL Striped Twine.  On the bottom of the panel is a LIME GREEN strip cut with dots from the EDGE ESSENTIALS Confetti Cuts die set.

The next panel is a white TOPPED OFF TAG that is layered with a BRICK cardstock layer cut with the BIG STRIPES TAG LAYER Confetti Cuts die set. From there, I added the tree from the MERRY CHRISTMOOSE Confetti Cuts die set and two snowflakes cut from the SNOWFLAKE TRIO Confetti Cuts die set…

The center banner is cut from CLOUD WHITE cardstock and is layered with a kraft panel that I cut with the JINGLE ALL THE WAY Confetti Cuts die.  I popped it with dimensional adhesive for added dimension.

HAPPY FALL-IDAYS: THANKSGIVING

Greetings, ‘Fetti Fans!

Welcome to the 2nd day of the 2nd annual HAPPY FALL-IDAYS creative event!  Yesterday we shared a spooky and sweet Halloween projects and today we are sharing THANKSGIVING projects.  I think that you’ll find yourself reaching for your Reverse Confetti stash to create lots of these projects for yourself!

. . . . .

I was so tickled with the way that my little Halloween banner turned out that I decided to stay on that track and create a THANKSGIVING one, too!

dsc_0288

For the bases, I used the GIVE THANKS LABEL Confetti Cuts die set cut from kraft (in my stash) and STONE cardstock.

Each of the ends has cuts from the WHEAT Confetti Cuts die set (from STONE cardstock).

dsc_0292

The pumpkin banners are cut from STONE cardstock then layered with the PUMPKIN PATCH Confetti Cuts die cut (using TANGERINE and AVOCADO cardstock)  The SO STRIPEY stamp set was still sitting on my desk, so I went ahead and inked it up with our TANGERINE ink for a tone on tone striped pumpkin.

dsc_0291

The center banner panel has an acorn from the HAPPY HARVEST stamp set (cut with the coordinating Confetti Cuts die set).  The top of the acorn is cut from STONE cardstock and then textured by using the new POINTED OUT stencil and translucent embossing paste.  After the embossing paste was dry, I used a sponge and added a little bit of STONE ink.

HAPPY FALL-IDAYS: HALLOWEEN

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to DAY ONE of our 2nd annual HAPPY FALL-IDAYS creative event!

Fallidays_Halloween

Like last year, myself and the Confetti Crew will be sharing Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas projects over the course of the next 3 days.  Enjoy all the Confetti Creativity!  We’d LOVE to see your Reverse Confetti Fall-idays projects, too!  Be sure to share them on Facebook and Instagram using #reverseconfetti

. . . . .

As you know, I absolutely LOVE Halloween and decorating for Halloween!  I try to create a new banner every year and I’ve had this idea in my head and knew this was the perfect time to share it!

dsc_0280

This banner uses both older and newer Reverse Confetti products.  I LOVE being able to mix and match stuff!

The banners are cut from TANGERINE cardstock with the LAYERED BANNER DUO Confetti Cuts die set.  I then used the HALLOWEEN BITS Confetti Cuts to create the jack-o-lantern and then layered it with a piece of black cardstock (not in our line up yet, but it’s coming).  For the top of the jack-o-lanterns, I cut a banner from LIME GREEN cardstock and stamped it with WHOLE LOTTA DOTS and finally trimmed it down to about 1/4″.

dsc_0282

The other banner panels are cut from our CLOUD WHITE cardstock and stamped with stripes from the SO STRIPEY stamp set.  I then added a black bat cut with the HALLOWEEN BITS Confetti Cuts die set.  The top of the tag is cut from STONE cardstock.

Finally, each piece of the banner is strung onto CHARCOAL striped twine.

HAPPY FALL-IDAYS: CHRISTMAS

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to the third and final day of the first annual HAPPY FALL-IDAYS showcase event!  Over the last 2 days we have shared numerous Halloween and Thanksgiving projects and today we are sharing Christmas projects.  You are going to LOVE what the Confetti Crew has put together today (full link list of those blogging today toward the end of this post)!

Fallidays_Christmas

. . . . .

My project for you today was really fun to put together and can be enjoyed by all ages…as proven by my kiddos that just want to shake it!

DSC05982

I bought this snow globe last year (or possibly the year before that) at Hobby Lobby and I have just been holding onto it waiting for the right opportunity to use it.  The Santa from the new JOLLY HOLIDAY set, along with the BRANCH OUT Confetti Cuts die set.

Side view so you can see how they stand up…

DSC05980

I cut 2 of the Santa and 2 of the branches so that when I put them down on the “puddle” of hot glue, they would stick and stay upright better.

From the Santa pic above, you can also see the fluffy detail on Santa’s hat (Stickles + Flower Soft).  The tree branches also have Stickles on them for the appearance of snow.  And, of course, the bottom is filled with “snow,” as well.

I wrapped ribbon around the base of the snow globe, as to cover up the opaque plastic that is there and then I decided to dress up the top of the snow globe, too!

The holly leaves are cut from the *new* HOLLY Confetti Cuts die set and I embellished it with a wood ball/bead that is painted red and covered in ultrafine red glitter and topped off with a red rhinestone.  The finishing touch is 2 jingle bells tied off with a piece of Cappuccino TWINE (have I mentioned I love this stuff!?!)

HAPPY FALL-IDAYS: THANKSGIVING

Hello and welcome to DAY TWO of our HAPPY FALL-IDAYS event, ‘Fetti Fans!

Falliday_Thanksgiving

I hope everyone enjoyed the first day of this special online showcase event that we are hosting this week!  I’ve had a blast making and sharing my projects, as has the rest of the Confetti Crew Design Team.  There are links to those posting towards the end of this post.

Today is all about Thanksgiving (and, my apologies for being a bit late for Canadian Thanksgiving!).

You are going to see some fabulous place settings and other projects (plus much more) from the Confetti Crew today, but I went in a slightly different direction with my project, a paper wreath…

DSC05972

Coming up with something for today was troubling me for a little white, but then while playing with some stuff on my desk (namely the STITCH FLAG TRIO Confetti Cuts die set), a light bulb went off and this little wreath was born.

DSC05965

Here’s how I created this (it’s really quite simple!)…

I cut an “O” with 2 circles dies (I used my larger Spellbinders circles that I keep in my stash).

Then I cut out 20 of the flag ended panels from the STITCHED FLAG TRIO Confetti Cuts die set.  I folded them over the “O,” starting at the bottom, then the top, then the sides and then filling in between.  I overlapped 4 of the cuts for a little added dimension, without it being too overpowering.

I noticed that the center did not look quite as “clean” as I would like, so I grabbed my large wreath from the new WREATHS Confetti Cuts and cut one from kraft (I didn’t pop out the centers) and then one from a woodgrain patterned paper and layered them on top of each other and then folded/”fluffed” up the sides on the top one…

DSC05959

It still needed a little something to decorate it and I grabbed the PUMPKIN PATCH stamp and Confetti Cuts, along with the LEAFY Confetti Cuts die set and stamped and layered.  I added a few enamel dots and “dew drops” for a bit of texture and detail to finish it off.

DSC05958

When it was all done and just sitting there, I wasn’t immediately sure how to present it.  A quick call to the bestie for a creative chat and I added a paper straw and popped it in a bunch of mums, making it the perfect hostess gift or centerpiece.

DSC05967

Of course, either of my kids would have loved to have it hanging on their door, too.  It was easy enough that I may just have them make their own!

. . . . .

As you know, there is A LOT more inspiration being shared today by the Confetti Crew.  Happy Fall-idays!
