Howdy, friends!

It’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY, but before we get to that I get to announce the winner of the $15 Reverse Confetti gift certificate from this weekend’s blog hop.  Thanks to all that hopped along with us!

Congratulations, Samantha.  Please email me.

. . . . .

As you know, SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY (SFYTT) is back!  In December, after several years of hosting SFYTT on my iheart2stamp blog, I retired it.  As the plans for Reverse Confetti  started to fall into place earlier in this year, I realized that I really wanted it to be part of what I do here, too…and I’m glad I did!  On June 1st, SFYTT’s inaugural sketch as part of Reverse Confetti went live and I just LOVE what y’all are doing with it!  It’s a pretty basic sketch and lends itself to just about any style.

I got out of my comfort zone just a little on this card, by using a black base.  I love how it makes the white and colors POP…

As you can see, I took a few creative liberties with the sketch on this card, and I invite you to do the same with your creations.

Detail shot…

For this card, I used the base sentiment from the set, I LIKE YOU.  I had originally thought to add a die cut image in the center of the picture frame and tie in the “&…” sentiment, but decided to keep it sweet, simple and a bit scrappy.  The stamped heart and diagonal stripes on the bright pink panel are also part of this set.

Stamps: I LIKE YOU

Black pigment ink, VersaMark watermark ink

Black, white, dark gray, green and dark pink cardstock

Black polka dot paper (Echo Park)

Instant Camera Die (Lil’ Inker), Rhinestones, Heart Punch (SU!), Baker’s Twine, Washi Tape

. . . . .

There’s still a few more days to link up your SFYTT creation HERE.

The details you need to know…

  • There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.
  • The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 14th. The sketch will be posted in the sidebar and you will be able to click on it to get to that month’s SFYTT post with the link list during this time.
  • We originally stated that you must play with Reverse Confetti stamps to win; however, we are allowing “anything goes” until the end of the year. Note, that we will be adding this requirement in January.
  • You may enter as many times as you wish.
  • There will be a winner each month and that person will receive ALL OF THE STAMP SETS for the next release and be invited to share their creations during our sneak peeks and hop!  The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 15th of each month.

Hello and Happy Monday, sweet friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  I think I need another weekend to recover from this past weekend!  Saturday was my daughter’s party (see Saturday’s blog hop post for all the crafty details). Here’s the topper atop an actual cupcake as I promised…

Sunday was a little of this and a little of that.  We (meaning mostly Tony) started a backyard landscape project.  Looks like a trip to Home Depot for a few things is in order this week.  I wonder how the kids will feel about that.  A little fro-yo bribery might be in order!

. . . . .

Being that it is Monday, it’s time to announce the new ‘Fetti Finds (YAY!).  As always, there were so many great entries!  Thank you all for playing and I look forward to seeing your Reverse Confetti creations each week!

This week’s ‘Fetti Finds are…

Lisa F. did an awesome job of incorporating the image and sentiment from HAPPY HARBOR into her darling scrapbook page.

Gretchen’s card using DREAM IN COLOR is so cheerful and fun.

. . . . .

Want to be a ‘Fetti Find?  Here’s what you need to know!…

Each Monday we’ll be posting:

1. a few(2-3) of the linked projects which will be that week’s ‘FETTI FINDS

2. a new link list for that week (posts made Sunday through Saturday)

From these ‘FETTI FINDS, YOU WILL vote on a ‘FETTI FAVE!  The ‘FETTI FAVE will win the entire next stamp release and be asked to join the CONFETTI CREW as a guest during our next release for sneak peeks and the release hop. These will be announced on the last Monday of the month.

Just a few rules…

1.  Anything goes, as long as Reverse Confetti stamps are the main focal point of the project

2. No limit to the number of projects linked, but they must be posted to your blog or gallery that same week (no linking older projects), please

What will you make this week?

Howdy and Happy weekend, ‘Fetti Fans!  Today we are bringing you lots of inspiration with our monthly blog hop (always on the 8th…just remember “8 is great!”). This is the start of the hop and below is the hop order.  As you will see, we have lots of Reverse Confetti inspiration from the Confetti Crew, as well as some friends that helped us launch just one month ago.  So grab that cuppa joe and sit back, relax and enjoy the hop!  Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the REVERSE CONFETTI shop!

. . . . .

Today, here in the del Muro house we are celebrating my daughter Ellie’s birthday (a little early) and the beginning of summer.  We’re kicking off the first Saturday of summer vacation with a little party with some Reverse Confetti touches here and there.  It’s a splash party, so I took the fish from the HAPPY HARBOR set and created some coordinating party ensemble pieces.

Since the party will be outside and be buffet style, I thought it would be nice to create plasticware set-ups that are easy to grab and go as you go down the line.  I stamped the fish multiple times on plain ol’ copy paper, cut it into strips (they are 4.25″ long) and wrapped it around the napkin and plasticware.  I really wanted to add some orange curling ribbon or baker’s twine, but I had to go with being more practical since the majority of the attendees are 7 years old…

I might be baking the cupcakes as you are reading this.  I don’t like making them until the day of so that they are fresh from the oven.  However, I did make the cupcake toppers ahead of time.  I simply stamped the fish repeatedly on white cardstock,  matted it and hot glued a pick to it.  The starfish toppers were cut from the Silhouette.  I’ll be sure to share a pic of these on top of the cupcakes next week…

Finally, I created favors and, again, incorporated this lil’ fish.  The sentiment was printed on cardstock from the computer and adhered to a tag that was cut with my Silhouette.  I added some sequins and rhinestones for a little added sparkle and tied the tag onto the favor box that is wrapped in pink polka dot cardstock…

What’s inside you ask?  Since I am “allergic” to passing out plastic junk, but mostly to keep with the theme, I added goldfish, Swedish fish and aqua colored Sixlets (to look like “bubbles”)…

The bad part about all these bits and pieces…they will probably all end up in the trash!  At least they’ll look cute until then!  LOL!

I love how Dawn stamped repeating anchors to frame the sentiment from HAPPY HARBOR

Amber’s colors and design with the PEACOCK PRETTIES set are so pretty…

Susan made a statement with this card using the SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY and I LIKE YOU
