Thanks to everyone that took advantage of my birthday sale! I had a wonderful birthday spent with my family, as we concluded our “staycation.” I enjoyed all the FB messages, texts, calls and emails welcoming me into the next age demographic (35). And, while I have still been working during our “staycation,” today it’s back to “the grind.” Good thing I have a job I love!

It’s time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS!
What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS? It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project. Today we’re focusing on WATERCOLORS, but a variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.
While putting together all the school supplies for my daughter this year, I came across her set of watercolor paints and had a little light bulb go off in my head. I have seen a few different techniques and sat down and tried a few. While I wasn’t loving the look of the technique panels, I found that I loved how a few swashes looked together and created these 4.25″ cards…
These clean and simple cards came together so quickly and I just love how they came out. I used 3 different colors to create the swashes on each card, let it dry (<–important) and then stamped it in black with a sentiment from PEACOCK PRETTIES. The black matting panel was added to compliment the sentiment and it makes a great frame for the simple, yet dynamic, panel.
Chances are you already have a set of watercolors in your house, but if not run out and get some! They’re great to have around and can help create such fun, yet easy, cards like these that I’ll be making more of and putting together in a gift set.
TIP: Love square cards, but can’t find square envelopes? Create 4.25″ square cards…they’ll fit right into your A2 envies with no extra postage required (based on size).
Today, I’m celebrating my birthday, but it’s YOU that gets the present! Enjoy 20% off your order today.

Before I get to the TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY card, I would like to announce the random winner from the comments on the blog hop. Congrats to Wendy McGaffey! (comment on Laurie Schmidlin’s hop post).
(Wendy, please email me)

I thought that it would be fitting for today’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY project to be a birthday card. I’ll be saving this one for someone else, of course…it’s always nice to have a few birthday cards on hand.
The punched circles at the top of the card were stamped with the patterns in WHOLE LOTTA DOTS and the sentiments are from the (quintessential) birthday set, CELEBRATE CAKE.
We want to see your Reverse Confetti creations! Post them here for a chance to win FREE STAMPS!
Each Monday we’ll be posting:
The ‘FETTI FINDS from the previous week’s link list.
A new link list at the bottom of the ‘Fetti Find post. It will remain open through Saturday of that week.
<– FIND IT FAST: You’ll be able to find the current ‘Fetti Find post quickly by clicking on the button on the sidebar.
The last day of the month:
The ‘FETTI FAVE will be announced here on the Reverse Confetti blog. This will be one of the ‘Fetti Finds from that month and they will be chosen based on their project and creative use of REVERSE CONFETTI stamps. The ‘FETTI FAVE will receive the ENTIRE NEXT STAMP RELEASE and be invited to play along with the Confetti Crew for sneak peek days and the new release hop.
Just a couple of rules…
Anything goes, as long as Reverse Confetti stamps are the only stamps used OR are the main focal point of the project.
No limit to the number of projects linked, but they must be posted to your blog or gallery that same week (no linking older projects).
There is a full list of hoppers toward the end of this post in case you get lost along the way.
As the graphic above suggests, there is a TON of AWESOME inspiration from not only the best design team anyone could ask for, The Confetti Crew, but also from some very, very special guests, or as we like to call them ‘FETTI FRIENDS!
So, grab that cuppa joe, sit back, relax and click on through this amazingly fun blog hop! Don’t forget to leave a comment on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store. Comments close Monday night and a winner will be announced on Tuesday’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY post. Enjoy the ride and good luck!
“Time For Cake & Ice Cream” is just one of the MANY sentiments you can create using this versatile set (see graphic at end of post). I used it here as part of the banner on the card…
Both yellow panels were stamped with the large dots from the Whole Lotta Dots set in VersaMark watermark ink to give a subtle, but cute, detail to those panels. The “Happy Birthday” and “Celebrate” sentiments were stamped repeatedly and I just love how they “pop” against all the color on this card…
Here’s the card on a gift bag using one Laurie Willison’s (‘a FETTI FRIEND!) card hanger dies. As you can see I cut it out using the same aqua cardstock on the card itself, and then I stamped it with the smaller solid dots from Whole Lotta Dots…

Before I send you on your way, let me introduce you to our August ‘FETTI FRIENDS (links to their blogs on the hop list)..
A HUGE thank you to these wonderfully talented ladies for joining us this month!
(Recognize Jen and Kimberly from previous hops? Yep, we’re lucky like that! And, you’ll be seeing more of them, too!)
