SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY

Howdy from Texas, ‘Fetti Fans!

We have received many inquiries about our safety and I want to let everyone know that we are A-OK and safe here in North Texas.  Our hearts go out to our friends and family south of us.

. . . . .

I know that you already have it on your calendar, but just as a quick reminder…

. . . . .

It’s the first of the month and that means that it’s time for a new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY!  Come join in the fun for a chance to win a $20 store credit to add to your Reverse Confetti stash.

Here’s the sketch…

Before I get to all the wonderful inspiration that the Confetti Crew came up with using this sketch, let’s go over the details…

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 29th. The SFYTT button is posted on the sidebar.  Click on it to be taken to the current SFYTT post and link list.

Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!

You may enter as many times as you wish.

There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog at the end of the month.

CONFETTI CAMERA

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.

For this round each of our designers are showcasing our ink and cardstock in their favorite color palette.  This is a fun way to see what you can do with your Confetti Colors!

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

In the spotlight today is the talented TRICIA BARBER

Hey ‘Fetti Fans!  It’s Tricia Barber here to share my Color Me Mine color palette on this week’s Confetti Camera.   To get inspired,  I pulled out all of my Reverse Confetti inks and started stamping different color combos and settled with one which used some of my favorite new colors: Blueberry, Wisteria, Seafoam and Wine.   I just love the cool and dreamy palette of the blues and greens.  To add a little pop of color,  I added a little Wine.

To create my main panel, I used the Elemental Stripes stamp set and Premier Polar White cardstock.    I started with the darkest of the colors, Blueberry, and stamped three rows with the diamond stripe.     I then used the Wisteria ink and stamped three more rows using the half circle stripe.   Lastly, I stamped with Seafoam ink and used the dotted line stripe.    I trimmed the panel and die cut a rectangular cut out with the Lacy Scallop frame Confetti Cuts.   I layered this on top of another piece of Premier Polar White cardstock and stamped it with a sentiment from the Take Flight stamp set in some black ink.

I stamped the kite, paper airplane and cloud image from the Take Flight stamp set in Wine ink, trimmed them using the matching Confetti Cuts and left them just simply stamped.   The stamped and die cut panel was placed over the sentiment with some foam tape and then layered on top of a card base made from Iced Aqua cardstock (another one of my Favs!)

I hope that I have inspired you to get out all your Reverse Confetti papers and inks and get busy coming up with your own Color Me Mine color palette and get a little crafty today!

Wednesday in the Works

Hi there, Amy S. joining you today with a Wednesday in the Works project and video. Today I’ve combined some warm pinks and oranges with floral images from Build A Bunch to create a batik-inspired summery background.

. . . . .

I stamped and embossed a Premier Polar White panel with floral images from Build A Bunch, then did some heavy ink blending with FlamingoRustMagenta, and Peach.

To help give the panel a fabric feel, I creased the paper, distressed the edges, and swiped both top-to-bottom and side-to-side with my Magenta ink pad.

The sentiment, from Sentiment Essentials, was stamped in Midnight, die-cut with the coordinating Sentiment Essentials Confetti Cuts, placed in front of a Premier Polar White stitched circle die-cut, and accented with one small Build A Bunch flower.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Build a Bunch, Sentiment Essentials

Confetti Cuts dies: Sentiment Essentials, Pop-Up Circle

Ink: Midnight, Flamingo, Rust, Magenta, Peach

Paper: Premier Polar White card stock

Other: white embossing powder, distressing tool, ink blending tools and foam, fun foam
