Hello and Happy Tuesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s still sinking in that this adventure started over a year ago and that we just had our first release of our SECOND year.  From the time that I started Reverse Confetti, I said that I never wanted to be the biggest, I just wanted to do and be the best.  Of course, the first year presented a few learning opportunities, plenty of fun, lots of creativity and tons of moments where I sat back and thought about how thankful I am that I get to share my passion in this format.  Of course, I wouldn’t be sitting back and reviewing the past year in awe without YOU!  Our customers/’Fetti Fans are amazing!  Thank you all for such a wonderful first year…here’s to many more!

Our next order of business today is pretty “FAB!”  Did you see?…we’re the featured company over on MOXIE FAB WORLD this week.  I’m just *a wee bit* excited Teri featuring us.  Thanks, Teri!!

Here’s a pic of the Moxie Fab Teri, along with me and Freida Fox and the CHA Winter show this year…

A little of this.  A little of that.  Now, a card!

It’s Tuesday and TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY.  I am really digging the watercolor trend that is in full swing right now.  My Facebook feed is flooded with images of “homework” from a class that I just know that I should signed up for.  No time for classes at the moment, but I gave watercoloring a go on my own for this card using the new LET’S CHILL stamps set and LET’S CHILL Confetti Cuts..

The popsicles are done in ombre watercolor.  When I created this, I didn’t have any watercolors other than my kid’s Crayola ones (with colors are mixed together), so I opted for using my Tombow markers.  I colored on a plastic plate and then picked up the ink using an aqua-painter.  I saturated the (watercolor) paper in yellow and then brushed upward to get an ombre effect…perfect for these popsicles!  I just love the way it came out!

As you can see, the top portion of the popsicle has the center lines cut out.  I then popped this up on a solid popsicle (light yellow) for added dimension.  I kept the embellishments simple…sequins with rhinestones and washi tape, as I really wanted the popsicles to take center stage.

I’ll be experimenting a little more with watercolors, too.  I just picked up a Kuretake Gansai Tambi set of 24 from Amazon.  WOW, these colors are amazing!  Vibrant and rich.  I need to get used to them, as these aren’t your kid’s Crayolas!…and when I do, good things are to come of it!  If anyone else has this set, I’d love to hear your take on it or see what you have created with it!

The LET’S CHILL Confetti Cuts is a 3 piece set: Popsicle, center lines and stick…
