Hello friends! It's Kelly here sharing a few birthday cards with you today! I've been having so much fun crafting for all of the upcoming seasonal holidays, but I have been neglecting my birthday stash! I thought it would be fun to create two cards today, but in two different color combinations for some variation!
To begin, I stamped  the images from the Cake and Champagne stamp set using black ink and then colored them with Copic markers; half in pink and half in purple. Once they were all colored, I die cut them using the Cake and Champagne Confetti Cuts. I set those aside to get to work on the rest of the elements I used on these two cards.
I really love the beautiful new Rounded Stitched Windows Confetti Cut that was just released. I thought it would be the perfect place for these yummy cakes...and I was right! They fit perfectly and really made the cakes the main focus! The sentiments, which are from the So Many Sentiments stamp set, are heat embossed in white onto black strips. I thought it would be fun to use two different sentiments since I couldn't decide between the two!
I added all of the die cut elements to polka dot paper from the Darling Dots 6 by 6 pattern paper pad using foam squares. These patterned panels are added to a white panel that is die cut using the Diagonal Stitches Cover Panel. I love the hint of added detail it adds to the perimeter of the focal piece. I added these panels to a standard A2 cardbase using ScorTape for security. I added a nice coat of Shimmer Spray for some birthday sparkle!  I'm thrilled to have added 2 new birthday cards to choose from! I think I'll be working on birthday designs in all of my spare craft time for a while now! How about you? What kinds of cards/projects are you planning on working on?
