Hello Fetti fans. It's Lisa Henke here with you today and I am excited to  share a duo of baby cards. I am lucky to know a few special friends that are expecting a precious bundle of joy soon. I can only imagine the added stress of giving birth during this pandemic. I sure hope my card brings a smile to their face.

Baby cards are fun, because you don't really need baby specific stamp sets to create baby cards. I think pretty much any of the Dawn Machel critters would make the cutest baby cards. That is what I reached for and then I wanted to keep the layout pretty much the same, but not matching so I want to show you what I did here.
I grabbed the giraffe and koala bear sets, Lift me Up and Bear Hugs and colored up the cutie pie images with my copics. I then used the matching Confetti Cuts to cut them out.
I knew I wanted some polka dots, because dots and baby cards go together. I reached for the Snowballs Cover Panel. I cut it once and used it twice to create two different looks. Let me show you.

Before I used it as the background on my giraffe card, I flipped it over and used the backside to blend on some ink and use it as a stencil. It created soft, subtle polka dots in the background on the Koala card. I used Pistachio ink and a Life Changing Blender brush.
I stamped the sentiment from Sentimental Sayings in midnight ink on both cards. I framed it all up with some Mist card stock cut from the Lacy Scallop Frames Confetti Cuts.

For the sweet giraffe card, I flipped the Snowballs Cover Panel over and used the right side up. I was prepared to cut another one, just in case the green ink got through the dots, but it didn't so I was all good. I decided to add a panel of designer paper and I think the Fun Times 6x6 paper pad is perfect for baby cards. I added a teeny little scallop border to the top in Mist with the Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts. I used some Buttercup card stock for my frame on this one, to help keep it a more gender neutral card. I had a left over heart die from the All Heart Cover Panel so I colored it a light purple with my copics.
I am looking forward to popping these in the mail tomorrow. I am so happy that I can spread some cheer during these difficult times. Babies bring new hope and love to the world. I hope you are finding time to fill your bucket and do something that brings you joy. Creating cards is a great outlet for me. Have a beautiful day!

Virtual Hugs,
