We have an awesome Confetti Camera to share with you today!
A little bit about Confetti Camera…
In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.
For this round each of our designers are CASE-ing a card created from one of the other Confetti Crew members. In stamping terms, CASE means to Copy And Stamp Exactly. The Crew is taking a previously made card and making it new. This is a fun way to see what you can do with your stamps and, I think, that it helps you grow as a creative person as it requires you to think outside the box a bit.
A couple of things to note:
1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.
2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.
In the spotlight today is the sweet and talented, AUDREY TOKACH…
. . . . .
I chose to CASE a beautiful card by Jeanne! I was inspired by Jeanne’s use of a Cover Panel die, shaped diecuts and sparkle. Our challenge was to CASE a card, but change a minimum of three things.
I used a different Cover Panel die, a different diecut shape, and a different color scheme. The placement of my elements is a bit different as well. To create my card, I started off with a black card base.
I diecut the Big Stripes Cover Panel from white cardstock and adhered that to the black base. I diecut a Topped Off Tag from white cardstock, as well as a Bar Tag Layer diecut. I put one on top of the other, and stamped my sentiment from Lovey Words Coordinates in Rose ink, then I popped the Bar Tag Layer up on the bottom tag with foam tape. I used Lovey Words Confetti Cuts to diecut the word “forever” from Rose cardstock and glued that to the tag with a glue pen, then popped the entire tag up in the center of the card base.
I added a bow to a button from my stash and used that to cover the tag hole. While Jeanne used stars on her card, I decided to use hearts. I diecut a bunch in different sizes using the All Heart Cover Panel and XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts and adhered them across the front of the card on an angle using foam tape. I love Jeanne’s use of glitter paper on her card, but unfortunately, I don’t have any in my stash, so I added some sparkle using sequins instead. I had so much fun changing things around a bit to out my own spin on Jeanne’s fantastic card!
