Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and happy Thursday!

Is everyone getting ready for the weekend?  I’m already looking forward to some creative time!  I have bunches of ideas swirling in my head and can’t wait to create!  What do you have on tap?  Be sure to share your Reverse Confetti creations with us #reverseconfetti

. . . . .

Well, it’s not quite the weekend yet and we have an awesome Confetti Camera to share with you today!

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.

For this round each of our designers are CASE-ing a card created from one of the other Confetti Crew members.  In stamping terms, CASE means to Copy And Stamp Exactly.  The Crew is taking a previously made card and making it new.  This is a fun way to see what you can do with your stamps and, I think, that it helps you grow as a creative person as it requires you to think outside the box a bit.

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

In the spotlight today is the sweet and talented, SUSAN LILES…

. . . . .

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s my turn to be featured for Confetti Camera and I’m excited to share what I’ve created.  For this round, we are “CASE-ing” another Confetti Crew member, but making at least 3 changes to the finished project.  The CASE-ing part is easy, but having to choose from all of our talented design team was super tough!
I decided I’d take the challenge a little further and step out of my comfort zone just a bit (layers upon layers is my usual “m.o.”), and go with something a little more clean and simple.  Diane Jacquay is the queen of that look, so when I came across her cute mummy card she did for Halloween, I thought I’d try transforming her design into a Valentine’s card.
I CASE’d the layout and still used the LACY SCALLOP FRAME Confetti Cuts that layered onto a black card front.  I changed the colors of the card and the elements by using the LATER ALLIGATOR stamps and LATER ALLIGATOR Confetti Cuts for my main image and sentiment.
All of the patterned paper I used came from the TRUE LOVE 6×6 paper pad.  The soft pink stripe background was perfect!  Finally, instead of the stars, I used hearts that were cut out from the HEART BANNERS Confetti Cuts.  Like Diane, I used a clear Wink of Stella pen and some glossy accents over my hearts for a little sparkle.
