Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Thursday!

It’s time for another great Confetti Camera today (yippee)!

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.

For this round each of our designers are CASE-ing a card created from one of the other Confetti Crew members.  In stamping terms, CASE means to Copy And Stamp Exactly.  The Crew is taking a previously made card and making it new.  This is a fun way to see what you can do with your stamps and, I think, that it helps you grow as a creative person as it requires you to think outside the box a bit.

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

In the spotlight today is the sweet and talented, LAURIE SCHMIDLIN…

Hi ‘Fetti Fans! I’m thrilled to be here today! I think this might be my favorite Confetti Camera round yet! There are so many incredibly talented ladies on the Confetti Crew and I had a blast looking through their past creations for a card to CASE!

When I came across this card by Jen, I knew this was it! I remember seeing this during a previous release and thinking how lovely the colors were. It is just breathtaking!

I CASED the colors and general layout of Jen’s card. I loved the way Jen used Straight Stripes Pretty Panels Confetti Cuts die so I copied that exactly. I die cut it out of dark gray cardstock and layered it over a piece of RC Stone Cardstock  which was die cut using one of the dies from the Class Act Confetti Cuts  die set. I layered that on top of another piece of stone cardstock die cut using the Love Note Confetti Cuts die set.

Instead of the patterned paper in Jen’s card, I switched it up by using the Blooms ‘n Buds  stamp set and coordinating Blooms ‘n Buds Confetti Cuts die set. I used the following RC ink pads on the flowers and leaves: Iced Aqua , RC Aqua, Lime Green, Piggy Bank, Flamingo, and Rose. For the sentiment, I kept the same word as Jen had on her card but used a different die. I die cut the Hello Confetti Cuts die out of shiny gold cardstock.

Finally, I added a few gold sequins, just as Jen did on hers.
