Howdy and Happy Thursday ‘Fetti Fans!

The weekend is in view…woot, woot and we will be celebrating National Scrapbook Day in Keller, TX at The Little Blue House event.  If you are local, stop by the store in the morning and see us!  We’ll be sending out a special NSD deal in tomorrow’s newsletter…stay tuned!

As you know, on Thursday we do CONFETTI CAMERA here on the Reverse Confetti blog.  I love this feature and the fun themes that the Confetti Crew works with to bring you some awesome “Confetti Creativity.”

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from throwback projects from each of our designers.  I have been stamping for a long time and I have seen things come and go and then come around.  A primary example of this is shaker cards.  We’re taking a look back to those “way back when” projects and breathing new life into them.

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Today on Confetti Camera is the fun and fantastic, LAURIE SCHMIDLIN

Hi Confetti fans!  Laurie here bringing you my take on the current Confetti Camera theme “Everything Old is New Again”.  Before I ever had a blog, I was an active member on SplitcoastStampers!  In fact, that is how I met Jen!    I loved (and still do) how many tutorials they have for different techniques and all sorts of fun packaging!  So for my post today, I found a new to me package tutorial and created a sweet little birthday gift!

I chose the Box in a Bag tutorial.  This is similar to ones that I have created in the past but was quite a bit easier!  I used some girly patterned paper to create the bag.  I decorated it using the Folded Tag Sentiments set and coordinating Folded Tag Confetti Cuts dies.  I added a white tissue paper tassel (I used the Tassel Confetti Cuts die) behind the tag for some added festivity!
