Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s Thursday and time for another great CONFETTI CAMERA!

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.

For this round each of our designers are working on Celebrations!  However, there is a little something different…I have challenged them to forego birthdays and to “think outside the card.”  I think you are going to LOVE what you see!

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Today in the spotlight is the fabulously talented, Leigh Penner…

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Leigh Penner here with this week’s Confetti Camera.

Our theme this round is Celebrations, but Jen added a twist —

we have to celebrate something other than birthdays.

I have to admit that I was struggling a bit with this, until I thought of Mother’s Day

and how fun it would be to create a layout celebrating being a mom!

I started with a photo of my kids and me that was taken a year and a half ago — wow, time flies!

I decided to use some Crate Paper patterned paper that coordinated with my photo.

I enjoyed adding some stamps/dies to my layout to make it more personal.

For my title, I stamped the “celebrate” (from With Love) in versamark and heat embossed it in white.

To stamp the “being a”, I used a mixture of parts of words from Lovey Words Coordinates (the “be” from “be mine” and the “a” from “and ever”

and from Winter Word Coordinates (the “ing” from “sending.”

I diecut the “mom” from white cardstock using Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts.

On a piece of patterned paper with a 3 on it, I stamped the “I am so very blessed” stamp

from The Lord’s Strength.

And here’s a close-up of my journaling:

I enjoyed this challenge, as it made me reflect on something that really should be celebrated —

and not just one day a year!

Thanks for looking!
