Hello Reverse Confetti friends! Amy Kolling here hosting the Confetti Camera theme: For a Friend! It's so much fun to add a homemade touch to a gift for a friend!
I created this card and gift duo perfect for a friend. Let's start with the mini hoop. I started with a 3" hoop and fitted it with a piece of muslin. The outline of the Hello Confetti Cuts was drawn using a fine tip black marker onto the muslin. Using embroidery thread, the outline was stitched using black thread. This took a while but it was worth it in the end. I love felt and I knew I wanted to embellish the bottom with some SIMPLE felt florals. Using my favorite stamp and die set, Blooms 'n Buds, I die cut 3 flowers and leaves out of felt. To the centers of the yellow part of the flower, I stitched the center with black thread. After arranging the flowers at the bottom of the hoop, I added the leaves. When I was happy with the layout, the flowers and leaves were added using a hot glue gun.
For the matching card, I created a similar layout onto a white Stitched Rays Cover Panel using the same Blooms 'n Buds Confetti Cuts. Again, simple but effective. I added a layered Hello Confetti Cut done in Midnight Cardstock along with a supporting "friend" sentiment from A Friend Like You. As a finishing touch, I added white iridescent gems.
AMY! I love these!
