Hi Fetti Fans! Ali here with a nifty little keychain project using stamping and coloring on wooden beads. I love the look of wooden keychains and I am always looking to combine my favorite stamping pass time with other crafty ideas.  This was an experiment to see how it would go and I'm thrilled with the result! The small stamps from Crafty Critters and Ice Cream Social were perfect for creating these - a functional present for your crafty (or even craftily challenged) friends!

The beads are a mix of colored and plain wood from a local craft store here in my hometown - called Spotlight. Most people should be able to source something very similar at their favorite craft store or online.  The clasps were a Lobster Clasp also from Spotlight. I used some Beige Jewellery Twine to thread them.
I started by stamping the images and sentiment onto the flat bead using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I did try Staz On ink but this tended to bleed a little on the wood and I found the Memento was far better to use. I then colored the images with my Polychromo Pencils, matching the colours with the beads.
I threaded them as shown and knotted at the base. Such a cute and super quick project. You could also personalise the back with monogram letters or do different images on the back of the flat bead. A layer of Mod Podge can be used for extra durability.

Hope you enjoyed this project and see you again soon!
Ali xx
