Hello crafty friends! Lien here with a super simple Valentine's card using a fun pattern stamping technique to get the most out of your sentiment stamps!

For this card I stamped one of the critters from the Love Bugs stamp set onto Clairefontaine DCP 250 gsm cardstock. I'm coloring her in as a lady bug with some reds and dark greys. Which is the inspiration for the color scheme for the rest of this card. I cut the bug out with one of the Coordinating confetti cuts and then it's time for the background panel.

For my card panel I didn't want a full on background, I just wanted a bit of interest to a mostly white panel. So I stamped a border with one of the Big Heart Sentiments. This is super easy to do with a stamping tool. I used my Misti, lined the sentiment up in the top left corner using the grid in my Misti to make sure it was straight and stamped it in Rose ink. I then moved my cardstock panel up 4 squares of the Misti grid and stamped it again in red. I did that all the way down my card and then went back up to fill in the open spaces with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I clear embossed the black sentiments with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder to add a little shine.

To finish up the card I stamped the heart-shaped flight pattern in Ice Aqua ink and stamped a sentiment from the Love Bugs stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black, once again heat embossing it with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder. I then just glue that panel down onto my cardbase and propped the love bug up on some foam squares. I finished it up with a couple of black Nuvo Drops.
