It's no secret that the holiday season is in full swing.  My kiddos are getting a little older and I find myself longing for their childlike wonder, their true belief in Santa and of course the cute lil' crafts that I used to do with them.  Of course, as they get older, we have new experiences, traditions and memories to cherish, but I was feeling a bit nostalgic when I sat down to make these pencil holders...

These are created using our PENCIL & TREAT HOLDER Confetti Cuts die set.  My inspiration for the pattern on these is "ugly Christmas sweater" and I created that look by combining the BACKGROUND BUILDER and PATTERNED PANELS stamp sets.

After the pattern was stamped in Salsa and Avocado inks, I slid in the pencils (Dollar Store) and then topped it off with the burst from the CIRCLE WITH BURST TAG Confetti Cuts die set atop a couple of punched circles. As a finishing touch, I added a gold rhinestone embellishment to tie in with the gold circle and stamped gold dots.
