The project that I am sharing today is a dressed up version of something a lot of you have made before…a 2-4-6-8 box.
I created the 2-4-6-8 box and then cut out a large heart (from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set) on one of the vertical score lines so that you can peek into the box filled with yummy Hershey kisses in a cello bag.
I embellished around the negative die cut space with another large heart cut from coordinating paper and popped up on a glue dot along with rhinestones matted with white punched circles.
For the top and bottom of the box, I die cut the rectangle from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set and then cut it in half and overlapped the two pieces to form a square. In the picture below, you can see the slight overlap line. I also wrapped with box with pattern paper cut out with the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts.
I wanted to give the top of the box a little bit of pizazz! I took a wooden ball (from Hobby Lobby) and painted it red and then added ultra fine glitter to it once it dried. I placed on top of a little piece of pink tulle and hot glued it to the top of the box. I then added the “sweet treats” sentiment and hearts (from SWEET THING and GO TOGETHER, respectively) to the banner cut from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set. The banner is tied onto the glitter ball with some red, white and pink baker’s twine.
One more shot of the top and banner…
