Hello crafty friends! Lien here with a bright and colorful mini slimline birthday card! As always, I will leave the video linked below the tutorial if you're curious!

If you saw my take on the Stock Your Stash challenge on Saturday, you know I've recently discovered a really fun watercolor medium: Lindy's Gang Magical Shakers. And I figured I'd play with those some more. I just covered half a sheet of Canson Montval 200 gsm watercolor cardstock with purple, pink and teal and once it was completely dry I used theFloral Chain Cover Panel Confetti Cuts to cut a bunch of flowers from it. These magical shakers are super vibrant and they also have shimmer to them, some of that does rub off, so to prevent my top die cutting plate getting dirty, I put a piece of copy paper between my dies and my top plate.

For my focal point I'm using the Hope Confetti Cuts die set. I cut the top layer 3 times from thick white cardstock, the shadow layer 3 times from thick white cardstock and once from gold glitter cardstock and I also cut the radiant layer for behind the O from that same gold glitter cardstock. I used Distress Oxide inks (Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion) to blend on the top layer in an ombre effect. I then glued all the layers together with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.

Now all this card still needs is a background and I figured since I didn't have leaves die cut to go with my flowers, it would be perfect to incorporate a fresh green leaf design in the background. I used an old stencil with an abstract leaf pattern on it and just added some green ink. I applied it with a blending brush, making sure to darken the edges of the cardstock and keep the middle light. I put everything together onto a mini slimline cardbase (6 1/4 x 3 1/2"), propping the background panel up on extra pieces of cardstock for dimension. I added the flowers with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive but first pressed them into some craft foam with a rounded pen cap, that makes the petals flare up and gives movement to the flowers. I then only glue the center to the paper. I added the Hope on top and finished with some Nuvo Crystal Drops (Ivory Seashell) to add to the center of the flowers!
