Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

If I were a smart person, I would have planned ahead a little better and gotten this post done prior to moving.  However, I am not…or maybe life just got a little out of hand there for a little while.  Either way, I am writing this from the center of a mountain of boxes.  Some empty, many still packed.

We are resuming normal business hours today.  Orders and emails will be handled in the order they were received.  We appreciate your patience as we get settled back into our home city of Flower Mound, Texas.

As you know, “Eight is Great,” meaning that it’s time to hop!  It’s a non-release month, so we have a our Creative Hop going on today.  You’ll be seeing lots of great masculine/boy inspired projects to inspire you to create for all those (boy) grads and dads!

You’re at the first stop along the hop.  In case of a break or if you detour, there is a full list of Confetti Crew members and ‘Fetti Friends hopping today later in this post.

***Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win!  Comments are open until Thursday at noon CST and a winner will be announced on the WEEK IN REVERSE post on Friday.***

. . . . .

Masculine projects can often be a stumbling block for many creative types.  We are used to creating for our girlfriends, teachers and neighbors.  When it comes time to make something for a guy you can almost hear the screeching tires as our creative mojo grinds to a halt.  Well, at least that is how I feel at times when wanting to create for the guys in my life.  This first thing that I do is pick a piece of inspiration.  I happened to have some scrap pieces of cardstock piled up on my desk and I saw the color combo that I am using today.  I thought that these would be a great starting point for a project for the littlest man in my life…my son, Nic (5 year old).

Here’s what I created for him…

I created this door hanger, which is perfect for his new room, from the HANGING OUT Confetti Cuts die. This die makes it super easy to create fun door hangers just like this one.

The focul “image” is a stamped sentiment from the SHINE FROM WITHIN stamp set.  I used the GEOMETRIC BACKGROUND Confetti Cuts and OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die sets for detail and dimension.

As a finishing touch, I added the tissue paper tassel (cut from the TASSEL Confetti Cuts die) to the top.

I just love how this turned out!

. . . . .

This is just stop #1 on this incredible hop!  Check out what the Confetti Crew and ‘Fetti Friends have come up with…
