Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

I am honored to say that we are part of the LIGHT IT UP BLUE blog hop both as participant and as a sponsor.  You can find information for how to play along and how to win HERE on Veronica’s blog.

LIGHT IT UP BLUE is the theme for today, World Autism Awareness Day.  All over the world people are wearing blue, using blue lights (including Niagra Falls and national monuments) and displaying blue in celebration of those with Autism and to raise awareness about it.  This is a cause near and dear to my heart, as I was an elementary teacher before my kids were born and I started this little adventure.

If you have questions about Autism, a great resource is AUTISM SPEAKS.

Today, the crafty/stamping community is joins the LIGHT UP BLUE celebration in a blog hop featuring cards and projects featuring the color blue.  Several participants have already joined and you can, too!  Just click the link to Veronica’s blog above.  Winners will be chosen at random and will be announced on her blog on April 6th.

Also, when you post your cards to social media outlets use #LIUB, which is the worldwide hashtag for this date/celebration of awareness.

Here’s my card in honor of LIGHT IT UP BLUE

I know that you probably don’t recognize those images.  There will be more on that to come as we get ready for our April release.  I just thought that the swashes in light blue and this particular sentiment were perfect for a card for this hop.

In addition to my card, we’re tying the LIGHT IT UP BLUE hop together with a very special edition of CONFETTI CAMERA!  Yes, this project also features the color blue in the spirit of the hop!

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from throwback projects from each of our designers.  I have been stamping for a long time and I have seen things come and go and then come around.  A primary example of this is shaker cards.  We’re taking a look back to those “way back when” projects and breathing new life into them.

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Hey there, ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s time for a brand-new Reverse Confetti Camera theme…Anything Old Is New Again!

When I was first introduced to the magic of stamping back in 2007, Splitcoaststampers was the GO-TO place for paper-crafting ideas and techniques!  Today, I’m sharing one of the very first goodies that I learned to create, Sour Cream Container!

I adjusted the size a bit for this one, the paper was cut to 6″ by 6″ instead, so it’s a bit longer than the one shown in the linked tutorial.  After cutting some fun Pebbles Homegrown paper and assembling into the fun treat container, I added a darling Reverse Confetti Folded Tag Confetti Cuts with The Buzz stamps and The Buzz Confetti Cuts with Circles ‘n Scallops Confetti Cuts.
