Hello Fetti Fans! Ali here today, thanks for stopping by. Recently, I showed you a more traditional take on a Christmas card using the wonderful Sketched Florals (find it here) and today I am featuring the same stamp set but with a lovely soft, modern festive approach. The versatility of this stamp set is amazing and it is fast becoming one of my go-to sets to create cards for a whole variety of themes.

To begin, I used the 'smooshing' technique to create a background using Distress Oxide inks on watercolour cardstock (Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac). I then die cut this using the Diagonal Stitches Cover Panel, trimmed and adhered with black cardstock and adhered to a white cardbase.
I stamped out the florals in Distress Oxide Inks using my Misti so that I could multiple stamp for solid lines and crisp images. I used Wilted Violet, Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar and Milled Lavender. I die cut the florals with the corresponding dies.
I stamped the sentiment from Joyful Holiday Wishes in Wilted Violet and Shaded lilac alternately to get variation in colour. I cut this out with a circle die. I stamped the happy holidays sentiment in versamark ink and white embossed it on black cardstock strip. I adhered the florals behind the circle sentiment and adhered to the cardfront. I adhered the black sentiment strip.
I finished the card with some diamantes.
Hope you enjoyed this variation and that it inspires you to make a start on those festive cards!
Ali xx
