Happy June! June is all about celebrating diversity, love, and inclusion, and what better way to celebrate than to create a personalized gift tag for a friend? I created this tag to decorate the gift bag for a good friend who has a June birthday.
To start, I used the large tag die from the new Big Confetti Tag Confetti Cuts set. It creates the tag with the hold at the top, and I die cut it from a piece of heavy weight white cardstock.
Next, I stamped the lion image from the new Love Wins stamp set, using Copic friendly black ink. I then did some quick Copic marker coloring, and went back over their rainbow hair with a shimmer pen.
Next, the new release also has this great 'friend' die along with the shadow and it's called the Layered Friend die. I cut the friend from black cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock, glued them together, then set them aside.
Then, I realized I wanted a little scene that included a sun and grabbed the Big Sun die from an earlier release. I used only the circle part of the sun and cut it from yellow cardstock, and one more time from white cardstock. I adhered the yellow sun towards the top of the tag, and reinforced it by gluing the white sun on the back to create a small sandwich.
After that I glued the 'friend' layered piece over the sun and also stamped the sentiment 'you are loved' which is part of the same Love Wins stamp set.
My final touches were to stamp the little hearts from the Love Wins set across the tag, color them in with Copics and add some shimmer pen.
I tied red and white baker's twine at the top of the card and that was it!
I honestly don't think I can get enough of these two cute little lions! I hope this post has inspired you to go craft and check out the newest release -- you won't be disappointed!
