Hello friends! Design Team member April here on the blog today sharing a new project. Thank you cards fall into the my most used category for card designs. I love keeping them on hand as I always find I or my family have a need to send a nice thanks to someone.
Today's project is created using the Sending Smiles Confetti Cuts set. I love this set, and specifically wanted to use just the dies to do some paper piecing.
To start this card I cut a piece of cardstock that is slightly smaller than an A2 card base. I used the flower die to cut three flowers across the center of the panel, then glued the panel down to an A2 card base.
Next I used the flower die to cut flowers in multiple shades of pink, and the leaf die to cut a few leaves from green cardstock. Lastly, I used the circle die in the set (the flower center) to cut circles from holographic cardstock.
Before adhering the flowers to the card front I stamped the 'thank you' from the Sending Smiles stamp set in the lower left-hand corner of the card base.
To get the 3-D look to my flowers I glued adhered one flower down on top of the flower cut outs, slightly twisting them so they didn't exactly line up with the flower shape. Then I took another flower, and using a small piece of foam tape for dimension, adhered it on top of the first flower.
Lastly I tucked the leaves under the flowers and added the holographic centers to each flower.
That was it! This set is easy to use and absolutely beautiful. I hope to make more of these cards in different color schemes.
Happy Crafting!
