Hello Fetti' friends! I am excited to be back on the blog this week sharing a card using the newly released Birthday Buddies stamp and Confetti Cuts set. I love cardmaking because you can imagine just about anything -- such as floating turtles :)

I really have fallen in love with this tiny turtle, and wanted to create a card using it multiple times. To begin this card I grabbed a Copic-friendly black ink and stamped the turtle, balloon bouquet and party hats multiple times.

I then colored them in alternating between shades of red, purple, blue and yellow. I will put all my color combinations at the bottom of this post.  I then used the coordinating Confetti Cuts to die cut out the images.

Next, I cut a piece of cardstock down to 8" x 9" and folded it in half to create a 4" x 9" slimline card base.  For my fluffy clouds, I took some cardstock pieces cut from a cloud die, and used them as a stencil to ink blend a cloud background using Distress Oxide inks.

The last step was to arrange the all the turtles on the card. I arranged them how I wanted them, with the balloons behind them, then glued everything down to make sure I didn't accidentally glue balloons over a turtle's face.  I used a combination of foam tape and liquid glue to make sure everything adhered together well. I also used liquid glue and a small foam dot to add the party hats to their heads.

Final touches were to stamp the 'time to shellabrate' sentiment from the Birthday Buddies Banter stamp set in the middle of the card, and cover the bows and party hats with a liquid glitter pen.

I just love these floating turtles and am so excited to have made such a whimsical and fun card.  I hope this post inspires you to check out the new Birthday Buddies stamp set, and to go have fun creating!
