Shiny New Year

Hello crafty friends! I'm Lien and I made a new year's card today with the Retro Holidays stamp set!

For this card I started out by stamping my sentiment right in the center of my panel. I'm working on Clairefontaine DCP 250 gsm cardstock and my panel is slightly larger than A2 size because I'll be diecutting a cover die from this later on. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Sparkle and Shine Sentiments stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed it with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder.

I then got to stamping all the colorful sparkles on my card. I used the Retro Holidays stamp set and stamped the sparkle images in four different colors all over my card. I used acrylic blocks because that's a lot quicker for this but I did put the foam insert from the Misti underneath my cardstock so I'd get a nice impression with these stamps. Once I'm done stamping all the colored images I also used the outline images and stamped them in Versamark ink to emboss with the WOW Metallic Silver Regular embossing powder.

Finally I die cut the Brilliance Cover Panel Confetti Cuts die from this panel to add in the brilliant die cut rays, radiating from my sentiment. I also diecut that fun frame using the Open Drop Cover Panel Confetti Cuts I die cut it four times out of thick white cardstock and once from some silver holographic cardstock, layered them together with the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and then adhered them in the center of my card.
