. . . . .

Today, we have a special WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS brought to you by Confetti Crew Member, Amy Sheffer.

What is Wednesday in the Works?

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

Hello ‘Fetti fans, it’s Amy here today with this week’s Wednesday in the Works. Today I’ve created a watercolored blustery, rainy day card.

In the background, I’ve randomly stamped the umbrella image from Weather It Together all over the background and heat embossed in white. Next, I watercolored everything, beginning with the umbrellas and finishing with the light blue background. Watercolor is such a forgiving medium for backgrounds, especially one that’s supposed to look wet and rainy!

For the sentiment, I die-cut a circle using the new Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts die set, then stamped and white embossed the sentiment. I layered that onto a Stitched Flag Trio die-cut.

To finish the assembly, I mounted the watercolored panel onto a navy card base, popping it up with foam tape for dimension.

Thanks for joining me today!
