INTRODUCTIONS

By Jen del Muro
on March 03, 2018

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Saturday!

We have a few introductions to share today…the March/April ‘Fetti Friends and 2 new Confetti Crew team members!

. . . . .

First up are our 2 new ‘Fetti Friends that will be joining us for March and April…

Hey there! I’m Christiana, better known as Christy from Christy Gets Crafty. I’ve been a lover of arts and crafts all my life, but specifically a cardmaker since 2010 and doing video tutorials on YouTube since 2011. My style is cutesy (I looooove critters!) with a definite focus on coloring, especially with Copic markers. My favorite thing about card making is that it is all about putting love on paper and giving it away. My other great passion is writing, and after years of poetry, essays, and short stories, I’ve finally just completed the first draft of a novel. Which is just another form of paper crafting, if you ask me.

Hi friends! I’m Emily Midgett, and I’m so very excited to be here with you today as a ‘Fetti Friend! I am a stay-at-home momma in the Midwest, where my full time job is taking care of my redhead and our twin preschoolers. I have a background in music, but these days the most singing I do is with Daniel Tiger and Peg+Cat haha! I have always been crafty, dabbling in everything from cake decorating to painting pottery to jewelry making, but now the obsession is cardmaking and watercoloring! My craft room is where I escape when life gets crazy, and sitting down with my watercolors just immediately relaxes me. I pretty much have to figure out some way to put an element of coloring on my projects, whether it’s watercolor, pencils, or Copic coloring. I am SO excited to be here. I’ve admired Jen for a long time, so it is an honor and a thrill to be a guest for Reverse Confetti!

Next up, 2 new Confetti Crew members…

My name is Kelly Lunceford. I live in Utah with my husband and our 5 children. I’m thrilled to be joining the Reverse Confetti team and to share with you my love for papercrafting! The creative process brings me the joy and happiness that my soul needs! It’s a big part of what makes me who I am and I feel blessed to be here!

Mom of two boys, cat and a dog. Cardmaker from Russia since 2013. Loves bright colors and explore different styles.

on February 28, 2018

Hello and Happy Wednesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

We have a great post to share with you today!  I’d like to say THANK YOU to everyone that played along with this month’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY.  I LOVE seeing all your creations using the sketch.

Congrats to our winner…

Here’s her card using TOUCAN OF FRIENDSHIP (with coordinating Confetti Cuts), MOUSE MAIL, SHAKERS ‘N FRAMES Confetti Cuts…

Nicole, please contact info@reverseconfetti.com to claim your prize.

. . . . .

Hello! Heather here to share with you a video tutorial for this bright, juicy, tropical card using the fun MAHALO stamp set, LEAF LATTICE Stencil, and a rainbow of Reverse Confetti Dye INKS! (named below)

Here is the video showing my process:

DISCLAIMER: My brain short-circuited the meaning of “mahalo” and confused it with “aloha” – so feel free to substitute a better sentiment if you wish!

I name them all in the video – but here are all the different INKS I used on this card: Dark Roast, Pistachio, Lime Green, Magenta, Wine, Bumblebee, Bellini, and Coral.

I love the way these bright colors all came together on this card – and the ombre effects on parts of the card by inking with two different colors, or using the older (but classic!) rock and roll technique!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful day!

SFYTT WINNER + WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By Jen del Muro
on January 31, 2018

Hello and Happy Wednesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

We have a wonderful post to share with you today.  First, I’d like to announce the winner of the January SFYTT…

Here’s Kelly’s card using the TIE-RIFIC stamps and Confetti Cuts dies…

Kelly, please email info@reverseconfetti.com to claim your prize.

. . . . .

We also have a wonderful WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS to share with you today.  I hope that you have been enjoying the videos we have been sharing with you each week.  The plan is to share a video with you on Wednesdays (or most Wednesdays).

Are you asking “what exactly is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS?”  It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.  Heather has put together a great way to use your inks and stencils for a fun ombre background.

. . . . .

Hello! Heather here to share with you a video tutorial for a couple cards I made featuring beautiful Reverse Confetti Stencils paired up with white embossing paste and two shades of Reverse Confetti Die ink to get an ombre background effect!

Here is the video showing how I created these backgrounds:
For this first card I used Pointed Out Stencil, then die cut the sentiment from Hello & Thanks Labels Confetti Cuts. The added sentiment underneath is from Kindness Cards Stamp Set. I love the finished effect – and there is something about mint and gray together, don’t you think?
I also shared a bit of the process for this extra card to use up the tinted embossing paste with a different stencil:
For this card I used Hearts Stencil, then added a sentiment from Crazy About You Stamp Set. Both cards have a Stone Cardbase, and the heat embossed elements are on Stormy Cardstock.
I left the texture bumpier on this embossing paste – lots of texture that way!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful day!

COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI: Heart Spots

By Jen del Muro
on January 06, 2018

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to DAY TWO of the COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI!

If you missed yesterday’s post, you missed A LOT, so be sure to scroll down and check it out.  We’re just a couple days away from our January 8th release when 6 new stamp sets, 5 new Confetti Cuts die sets and a new 6×6 paper pad will be available.  We have a BIG party (hop) planned for the 8th, too!

Here’s our schedule for the next few days…

. . . . .

You have a chance to win over on Facebook, too.  Just look for this graphic and instructions at the top of our feed…

. . . . .

We have a super duper cute critter set to introduce to you today…

HEART SPOTS

Coordinating Confetti Cuts die set…

Aren’t they the cutest!?!  I call them cheetahs, but the design team has had a discussion on whether they are cheetahs or leopards (jaguars even came up).  Call ’em what you want as long as you call them cute…and then color them and pop them on a card!

I stamped the images on our CLOUD WHITE cardstock, which is **GREAT** for watercoloring and then I used Zig Watercolor Brushes to color the images on this card…

I started with a card base measuring 3.75″ square and then topped it with a STONE cardstock panel.  From there, I layered a MIDNIGHT cardstock layer cut with the DROP COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts and the large square frame from the SCALLOPED SQUARES Confetti Cuts die set (in STONE).  The frame is popped up with dimensional adhesive.

I then added the images and the hearts (from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set) and the “i love us” sentiment.  I had a few extra twine bows on my desk from yesterday’s project and decided to go ahead and add one here, too.

. . . . .

That’s all for me today.  The Confetti Crew has a lot to share with you today and we’ll be back tomorrow for our third and final day of the COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI with even more reveals.  Don’t miss a thing!

COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI: Heart Filled Sentiments, Congratulations, New Confetti Cuts and Paper

By Jen del Muro
on January 05, 2018

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to DAY ONE of the COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI for our January release!

On January 8th at midnight EST, we will be releasing 5 new stamp sets, 6 new Confetti Cuts die sets and a new 6×6 paper pad.  We’re having a super inspiration and guest filled post that day, too (just sayin’)!

Here’s a look at our schedule for the next few days…

Don’t forget to leave a comment here and on each sneak peek post this week for a chance to win!

In addition to having a chance to win just by leaving a comment on the sneak peek posts, we are also running a Facebook promotion.  After you are done checking out the sneak peeks, head on over to OUR FACEBOOK PAGE and look for this graphic pinned to the top of our feed.

On Facebook, simply leave a comment under the graphic.  One person that comments on the graphic by 1pm EST on January 7th will be randomly chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.  Winners for both the blog comments and Facebook comments will be announced here on the Reverse Confetti blog as well as on Facebook.

. . . . .

As you know, 2017 was a #beastmode year for me.  A lot of that energy was directed to getting healthy and basically treading the water of day to day life.  That didn’t leave a lot of creative energy for me to work with and for the last half of the year, many designers were blogging here while my creative mojo and my energy re-booted.   I am happy to say that I AM BACK to creating like I used to and I am so excited to share my projects with you for the release!

So, you know the drill…sit back, enjoy that cuppa and enjoy all the Confetti Creativity we have for you today (and we have A LOT!).

First up in our introductions is the new 6×6 Paper Pad…

FOREVER MY LOVE

Coordinating Confetti Colors for FOREVER MY LOVE are: Navy, Peach, Coral, Seafoam, Sand, Dark Roast, Lagoon

. . . . .

Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it and we have the perfect sentiment set for all of your Heart Day celebrations…

HEART FILLED SENTIMENTS

Before I get to my first project using a bunch of these sentiments, let me share with you one of my new favorite Confetti Cuts dies…

FALLING HEARTS PANEL

For my first project that I will be sharing with you, I created a set of cards using both the HEART FILLED SENTIMENTS and FALLING HEARTS PANEL Confetti Cuts…

To begin this card, I cut the FALLING HEARTS PANEL from both PIGGY BANK and SALSA cardstock.  I offset the two colors and adhered them together using dimensional adhesive.

Each of the cards has a different sentiment stamped in MIDNIGHT ink.  I “dressed up” the sentiment panel by adding a banner layer (cut from MIDNIGHT cardstock) and an ICED AQUA cut of the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.  I used the small side on 2 of the cards and the large side on the other 2 cards.  I added 2 hearts cut from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set (SALSA and PIGGY BANK).  To finish it off, I added a double bow of CHARCOAL striped twine.

Here’s a shot of all 4 sentiments that I used…

. . . . .

Next up on our introductions today is a set that will be a go-to, for sure!  Especially for upcoming graduation and wedding season, but it really can be used for so much more…

CONGRATULATIONS

We love this set!  So much so that we created TWO Confetti Cuts dies to coordinate with it…

The CONGRATULATIONS Confetti Cuts die set has the coordinating cuts for the images in the CONGRATULATIONS stamp set, plus a “bonus” confetti swirl.

We also created a 4.25″ square panel to go with this stamp set, making it even more versatile and fun to play and work with…

CONGRATS SQUARE PANEL

The CONGRATS SQUARE PANEL Confetti Cuts die can also be used on its own.

. . . . .

You know when you sketch out a card/project and then when you go to create it, it looks nothing like what you had in your mind?  It happens all the time to me.  BUT NOT HERE!  I had pretty much just this image in my head and sketched it out.  Needless to say, I was pretty tickled (ok, so flippin’ happy) when it all came out just how I wanted it to.

I stamped the “Congratulations” sentiment and then added a complementing sentiment 3x and then added the fish tails (NAVY cardstock) which I sewed onto the card panel.

The “Congratulations” sentiment is stamped in NAVY ink and the other sentiments are stamped in LAGOON and LIME GREEN ink, respectively.  I wanted to highlight “we’re so proud of you,” so I added the coordinating cardstock strips across the back of this sentiment.

To embellish, I added a star stamped in SUNSHINE ink on SUNSHINE cardstock and then added the confetti swirls (ICED AQUA cardstock).

For a finishing touch, I added a sequin and clear acrylic dot atop the stars.

. . . . .

My hubs says that this next card is his favorite of the ones that I have made for this release (so far, a few more things to make still)…

For this card, I used a 4.25″ square card base and then layered a piece of STONE cardstock and then a SMALL DIAMOND TILES COVER PANEL in PREMIER POLAR WHITE cardstock.  From there, I cut the CONGRATS SQUARE PANEL from STONE cardstock and stamped “and best wishes” in MIDNIGHT ink.

I then cut the CONGRATS SQUARE PANEL from MIDNIGHT cardstock and trimmed off the word and layered it, offset, behind.  And, then I popped it up on top using dimensional adhesive  Here’s a pic from when I was working on it…

From there, I stamped the heart from the CONGRATULATIONS set in CORAL and FLAMINGO ink and added them to the card.

Now, I just need a wedding or anniversary party to go to give this card away.

. . . . .

Ok, it’s time for me to send you on your way to see what the Confetti Crew has been up to with these new goodies!  Don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win!

Introducing Our January & February ‘Fetti Friends

By Jen del Muro

Warm winter greetings, ‘Fetti Fans!

I am freezing here in North Texas…brrrrr!!  Do you love the cold weather?  I just can’t get into winter when I literally feel cold from the inside out.  I’m hoping that ground hog doesn’t see his shadow come Groundhog Day!  It’s a good thing I’m hunkered down creating with the new release goodies for now.

. . . . .

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for THIS FRIDAY when we kick-off the Countdown to Confetti!

. . . . .

I am so super excited to introduce to you the 2 ladies that will be joining us as ‘Fetti Friends (guest designers) for January and February.  Please give a warm welcome to…

From Wanda, in her own words…

Hi, ‘Fetti Friends!  Wanda here and I am thrilled to be guesting with the Confetti Crew for the next two months!  I’m a long time papercrafting addict and have loved Reverse Confetti’s products starting with my Pretty Peacocks purchase from Jen’s first release!  My style is typically clean and layered though I’m not afraid to try out new techniques/styles from time to time.  When I’m not in my stamp room, I’m most likely working full time as an RN at a comprehensive rehabilitation center.  My “word” for 2018 is “retirement”!  After 44 years of nursing (42 years with my current employer), I hope to work only part time after May.  I am married and have three grown children – two boys and a girl – and am currently spoiling three grandchildren whenever I get the chance.  I am hoping to inspire you as I share some projects using the fabulous new products with this release!

And, our second ‘Fetti Friend for these next couple of months…

A bit about Samantha in her own words…

Hello!! My name is Samantha Mann, and I’m SO excited to ring in the new year with Reverse Confetti!!
I have always been in love with school supplies (ever since elementary school when I would save my nickels to buy cute pencils or erasers!) and that love just grew and developed into my crazy obsession (read: passion!) of paper crafting! I love making cards and even dabble with the occasional scrapbook layout! I tend to lean towards clean and simple design, but not always! I am all about learning new techniques from fellow crafters! I’m definitely quirky, and love to make playful, humorous sentiments for my cards (and layouts)! I work full time for an advertising company and spend every other moment I can paper crafting, reading and enjoying the little moments in everyday family life.
