CONFETTI CREATIVE HOP

By Jen del Muro
on April 08, 2018

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to our monthly hop!

As you know we release every other month and this is our non-release month.  That doesn’t mean that we aren’t having a lot of fun with our Reverse Confetti goodies, though!  Of course, we’re stamping away and as always, we’re hopping here on the 8th and sharing lots of “Confetti Creativity!”

There’s a hop order at the end of this hop post.  Our hop today features a little something for moms, dads and grads…enjoy!

. . . . .

As I mentioned yesterday, my mom has been in the hospital all week.  We’re hoping that she gets to come home tomorrow, but it is all dependent on her IV antibiotics continuing to take full effect against the nasty infection that she has.  Thank you for all the well wishes for her on Instagram yesterday!  Prayers are most definitely needed at this time!

I had her in mind as I made this card for her for Mother’s Day…

She tends to like cards that are a bit more simple and understated rather than lots of layers and embellishments.  I wanted to create a card with a little bit of “pop” but nothing over the top.

I started by stamping the one of the floral arrangements from the BANNER IN BLOOM set in STONE ink on our PREMIER POLAR WHITE cardstock.  I gave some of the flowers a little shadow using my BV20 Copic marker.

That panel is layered with a LIME GREEN cardstock panel and popped up on the card base using dimensional adhesive.

From there, I added the sentiment, from SIMPLY SENTIMENTS, along with a popped up floral bunch that I stamped in STONE ink and colored with Copics.

The bottom portion of the card has patterned paper from the FUN TIMES 6×6 paper pad.

. . . . .

Now it’s time to hop, hop, hop along to see what the crew has created for the moms, dads and grads in their lives…

Stamping For Autism Awareness

By Jen del Muro
on April 02, 2018

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Monday!
Today, we are so pleased to be part of a wonderful blog hop to raise awareness for Autism.
Many companies and individuals are part of this hop that all starts HERE on Veronica Zalis’ blog.
Check out this link up to see who all is hopping/posting today AND add your project for a chance to win (details on Veronica’s blog).
. . . . .
Today is Autism Awareness Day and everyone is encouraged to #LightItUpBlue, like this blue-hued card I created for the hop…
I used the new STITCHED RAYS COVER PANEL Confetti Cuts and cut it down and watercolored the rays in alternating blues.  I then added the heart, which is cut from NAVY cardstock with theheart from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set.
The sentiment, from WORK OF ART, is stamped in MIDNIGHT ink.
Both the card base and the STITCHED RAYS COVER PANEL are cut from CLOUD WHITE cardstock (excellent for watercolor projects!).

SPRING FLING HOP WITH THE MISTI TEAM

By Jen del Muro
on March 20, 2018

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

We thought it would be fun to do a SPRING FLING HOP and when Lydia Fiedler, coordinator for the My Sweet Petunia (creators of the fantabulous MISTI) team, asked if we would like to do a collaboration we said “Heck, yea!!” (or something like that…lol!) and decided to team up for today.  Most of the projects that you will see today are spring focused and all of them use the fabulous MISTI.

On top of all the great inspiration, there are a TON of giveaways happening…

Both Reverse Confetti and MISTI (see their store HERE) are giving away $60 gift certificates AND you will also find lots of giveaways along the way.

Be sure to comment on each post, as that is your entry for a chance to win!

Leave your comments no later than Sunday, March 25th, at 11:59 PM Central time and winners will be announced on Tuesday March 27th, on the Reverse Confetti and My Sweet Petunia blogs.

. . . . .

There are lots of ways to use a MISTI!  I know that some people use it for every image they stamp, but I find it most helpful when I have mass creating to do, when I need to make sure that something is super straight or if I am working within a tight space.  This tag applies to the latter two…

This is the tag that kicked off my whole project.  The tag is the smaller tag from the TAG DUO Confetti Cuts.  I stamped it with images from BLOOMS ‘N BUDS (Coral, Buttercup and Mint Confetti Colors of ink used).  I then used the MISTI to properly place the sentiment from the WITH LOVE stamp set.

Here’s a quick look at the Confetti Colors I used…

I apologize for not having directions for this lil’ box, but it’s basically a 2-4-6-8 box, although the dimensions are a little different.  A quick Google or YouTube search will turn up copious results for how to cut/score a box like this one.

I cut the base of the box from PREMIER POLAR WHITE cardstock and stamped it with flowers and leaves from the BLOOMS ‘N BUDS stamp set.

The top of the box is cut from BUTTERCUP cardstock and stamped with WHOLE LOTTA DOTS, also in BUTTERCUP.

I attached the tag with twine to the ribbon (from my stash) and a bit of tulle

One more detail shot…

Want to know what’s inside?…

. . . . .

Ok, it’s time for you to be on your way to see SO MUCH creativity using Reverse Confetti products along with the MISTI!

FEBRUARY HOP

By Jen del Muro
on February 08, 2018

Hello and Happy Thursday, ‘Fetti Fans.

Welcome to our LOVE IS IN THE AIR Blog Hop!  We have lots of wonderful inspiration to share with you today.  If you leave a comment on each of the stops along the hop by 2/11 you will be entered to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store!  You will find a link list to each blog hop stop at the bottom of this post.

. . . . .

I gave you a little peek at this project over on our Instagram account last week as I was working on it.  When I started it, I wasn’t entirely sure the direction that it was going to go, but I do love how it turned out!

I started with the GOODIE BOX Confetti Cuts die cut from Salsa and Piggy Bank cardstocks and then stamped the rose image from the SOMETHING WONDERFUL stamp set multiple times in the same color ink.

From there I cut tags from the TAG DUO Confetti Cuts die set and added the sentiment from the KINDNESS CARDS set.

I wrapped black sheer ribbon that I have had in my stash forever around the boxes and with the tags.

You can see here how I popped up the words…

One last detail shot…

. . . . .

Alright, it’s time for me to send you on your way!  Enjoy all of the inspiration and don’t forget to leave a comment at each stop along the way.

Release Day Celebration

By Jen del Muro
on January 08, 2018

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to our Release Day Hop!

As I have been saying during the COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI, this is a BIG hop with LOTS of fabulous friends joining the Confetti Crew and myself as we kick of the new year in a fabulous way…with a new release!  There’s a full link list at the bottom of this post with all of today’s hoppers.

. . . . .

Before I get to the “meat” of this post, I want to take a moment to say a few things.

As you know, I am so happy that 2017 is in the rear view mirror now.  It was undoubtedly the hardest year of my life.  Last January 18th was my first chemotherapy infusion to battle breast cancer, which was followed by 14 more (5 really yucky ones), plus 2 back to back surgeries and 36 rounds of radiation.  One week after my last radiation treatment, my dad passed away after a short battle with lung cancer.  I am grateful that I got to be there with him, holding his hand, as he took his last breath and passed on to Heaven.  Through all of that I kept my motto of “beastmode” close to my heart and in my actions.  I recently explained to someone that beastmode isn’t about just powering through something, but feeling everything that goes with it and when it gets you down, learning to get back up and take a step forward.  There were plenty of days that I was down and I couldn’t have kept going without the wonderful and amazing support of my family, friends and Reverse Confetti team.  Believe me, there were a few days that I wanted to give up and walk away, but I am glad I didn’t.  It was a tough mountain to climb and one of the things that I gained was a new perspective on things…life, family, business.  That new perspective required me to be very introspective and be really true to myself and the person that I want to be.

So, what does that mean?

Before I get right to the answer of that, I want to share my #onelittleword for 2018 that I chose in the spirit of my new perspective:

I won’t dive too deep into the personal aspects of it, but in short it means knowing who my friends are, building strong friendships, being present for my family and building those relationships and working/building to make my community a better place.

As far as Reverse Confetti goes, it’s probably not what you think when you think of someone “building” their business.  It’s not about getting bigger or making more product or the “more is better” attitude that many owners take on.  For me, it’s getting back to the roots of how I started this company and building strong relationships with our customer bases, building amazing products that crafters worldwide will love and reach for time and time again and building my creativity by creating and sharing my love of this industry with others.

Needless to say, this release is really very important to me.  It stands as the first building block of the new year.  I think it’s a great release and I’ve invited many of my personal friends and amazing designers to be with me as we celebrate the release and this wonderful new year.  I surely hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Thank you all for your love and support.  There are truly no words that could ever express my gratitude.

With love,

Jen

. . . . .

The January release contains 5 new stamp sets, 6 new Confetti Cuts die sets and a new 6×6 paper pad.

Here’s a quick recap of the new products, which can be found HERE in our store.

FOREVER MY LOVE 6×6 PAPER PAD

STAMPS

CONFETTI CUTS

. . . . .

I’ve created a couple projects to share with you today.  This first one uses the new CONGRATULATIONS stamp set, coordinating Confetti Cuts dies and new FOREVER MY LOVE 6×6 paper pad…

To create the embossed rounded edge, I used the EDGERS Confetti Cuts die set.  I then put patterned paper from the FOREVER MY LOVE 6×6 paper pad on the bottom half of inside of the card.

The balloons are stamped in CORAL, SEAFOAM and LAGOON inks and popped up on dimensional adhesive.  The balloon strings are stamped in STONE.

I popped up the “let’s celebrate” sentiment (in CORAL) and then bookended it with the burst image from the CONGRATULATIONS stamp set (in LAGOON)

. . . . .

Some family friends of ours recently gave us some Dallas Stars hockey tickets for next weekend.  I happened to stumble across a Stars tumbler when I was at Jamba Juice with my daughter and thought that this would be such a fun way to say “thank you” for their kindess.  Of course, I had to dress it up a little with a gift card and a tag that I created with the KINDNESS CARDS stamps and Confetti Cuts, CONGRATULATIONS stamps and Confetti Cuts (star) along with the previously released OH MY STARS and EDGE ESSENTIALS Confetti Cuts.

I’ll be honest, this wasn’t my first take at this.  It was a blessing in disguise, because it gave me an opportunity to embellish and make it a lot better than the original.  The original was just a white panel.  Since I messed up the writing on it, I cut off the bottom portion, giving me the opportunity to change up the color.  I stamped the dashed lines in GRASS ink on STONE cardstock and then adhered it to the top portion.

To cover the seam, I added a MIDNIGHT strip cut with the EDGE ESSENTIALS pinked edge and then I topped it stars cut from the OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts in STONE and MIDNIGHT.

The top portion has 3 stars from the CONGRATULATIONS stamp set stamped in MIDNIGHT and GRASS.  The center one is popped up and adorned with a big blingy rhinestone.  The “thank you” “so much for” sentiment is from the new KINDNESS CARDS stamp set.

Here’s the whole giftie…

. . . . .

Well, I’ve promised a big hop and I’ve shared what I have to share so now it is time for me to send you on your way to see all of the amazing projects from the even more amazing designers that I am so fortunate enough to call friends…

Season’s Givings Blog Hop – Year 6 & A New Sketch For You To Try

By Jen del Muro
on December 31, 2017

Hello and Happy New Year, ‘Fetti Fans!

Wow, we are so thrilled to be part of the Season’s Givings Hop again this year.  It’s hard to believe that I have been part of this hop for 6 years now (even pre-RC!).  I love this hop and know that you will, too!  Lots of chances to see fun projects, meet designers and companies and, of course, lots of prizes up for grabs.

Can I just say how happy I am to leave 2017 in the dust?!  Thank you to everyone that supported me as I battled breast cancer last year.  I still have a few more infusions left, but it’s not a cytotoxic (make me feel yucky) drug and I can finally see the finish line.  Words really cannot express to you how much everyone’s kindness has meant to me.  I look forward to making 2018 a wonderful and positively memorable year.  Personally, I am not so secretly hoping that it is a bit less eventful than last year.  As for Reverse Confetti, you can expect us to stay on track with our every other month releases.  We hear you and our retailers saying that it can get a little overwhelming with new product every month and that you love being able to use your goodies more before new stuff arrives.  The first release of the new year is just around the corner.  The Countdown to Confetti begins January 5th and you do not want to miss the New Release Hop on the 8th (seriously, trust me on this!).

. . . . .

Here is what is up for grabs from Reverse Confetti for the Season’s Givings Hop…

Leave a comment here by January 8th and I will announce a winner shortly after than date.  This is open to ‘Fetti Fans worldwide.

As you know, this is a hop (with LOTS of super fab participants).  Check ’em all out for chances to win LOTS of great stuff.  Be sure to check out the new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY just below the link list, too!

 . . . . .

In addition to this being the post for the Season’s Giving we also have our new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY!

Before I get to all the wonderful inspiration that the Confetti Crew came up with using this sketch, let’s go over the details…

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 29th. The SFYTT button is posted on the sidebar.  Click on it to be taken to the current SFYTT post and link list.

DECEMBER CONFETTI CREATIVE HOP

By Jen del Muro
on December 08, 2017

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to the December HOP!  We hope that you are in the holiday spirit and wish you and your family a very merry holiday season (whatever you may celebrate!) and a very happy new year!  I know that I am most certainly looking forward to putting 2017 behind me.  I have great plans for 2018 and I am so excited to have you all along for the ride!

We have lots of fabulous Confetti Creativity to share with you today.  The full hop list is below Amy’s project today.

. . . . .

Hello ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Amy S. here to kick off today’s blog
hop. I’ve picked out the Sweet Holiday stamp set for today’s card. The
little gingerbread house is darling and so much fun to color!

I started my card with an ink blended and splattered Premier Polar White
background panel. For added depth, I splattered white onto vellum, then
stitched the vellum panel to my background.

All of the images are colored with Copics, die-cut with the coordinating
Sweet Holiday Confetti Cuts, and adhered to the vellum layer with foam
tape. The wavy banner die-cut that I used for the sentiment is from the
Greetings Frame Confetti Cuts set.

I accented the sentiment with two lollipop images. Both have been coated
with Glossy Accents, then dipped into clear glitter.

Coming out of the chimney are three little hearts, each coated with Glossy
Accents.

That’s it for me today! Enjoy the rest of the hop!

CONFETTI CUTS

 . . . . .

Jeanne did an fantabulous job with her projects here over the last few days, but I am back for the hop today with a couple of cards to share with you.

The first card features the new KITCHEN LOVE stamps and Confetti Cuts dies…

I stamped all of the images in MIDNIGHT ink on our CLOUD WHITE Cardstock and then watercolored them with my Zig Watercolor Brush Markers.  If you haven’t tried our CLOUD WHITE paper yet for for watercoloring like this, I highly suggest you grab a pack (or two!)…it’s just devine the way the color comes out!  The shadows around the images were created with my BV32 Copic marker.

Detail shots…

 . . . . .

My next card features the oh-so-fun SNO AWESOME stamps and Confetti Cuts…

I started by watercoloring the blue on CLOUD WHITE cardstock.  After that was dry, I added the sentiment in MIDNIGHT ink and the stars in white.

The sno-cone image is also watercolored and I added a little bit of bling using a Sakura Stardust marker and an aqua-painter filled with rubbing alcohol…

OCTOBER BLOG HOP

Greetings, ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s time for our monthly blog hop! If you’re new to Reverse Confetti, we hop on the 8th of every month.  New product is released on the 8th of every other month (Jan, March, May…).  The Confetti Crew always has an abundance of inspiration to share with you, so sit back, relax and click on through this fabulous hop!

. . . . .

As many of you know, I have battled breast cancer this year and my crafting time has been a little more limited.  I’m so happy that I have been able to sneak away and create for this hop today.  I created a card using a variety of different Confetti Cuts dies and I love how it turned out…

The base of the card is covered in polka dot paper from the EVERY LITTLE BIT 6×6 paper pad.  I then combined the Wonky Stripes Panel cut from LEAD cardstock and layered it with a piece of RUST cardstock.

From there, I cut two LEAFY WREATH cuts (in STONE cardstock) and pulled up some of the leaves on the top one for texture/dimension.  Atop of the wreath is HELLO cut from MIDNIGHT and ICED AQUA cardstock that I layered, slightly offset.  As a finishing touch, I added the enamel dots.

The Confetti Crew has come up with some amazing projects to share with you today!  Check ’em out…
