It’s Thursday and time for CONFETTI CAMERA!

ConfettiCameraRCblog

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round each of our designers will be coming up with a SET of something. You’ll see gift sets, card sets, pocket scrapping sets and much more this time around.

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

. . . . .

In the spotlight today is the the super fun and talented, AMY ROHL…

AmyR

Hi! It’s Amy here with our current Confetti Camera theme – Set ‘Em Up!  I’d forgotten how much fun creating in sets can be until I sat down to make a set of gift card holders using a few of my favorite Reverse Confetti products.

amy1

The GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts is perfect for producing multiples of one design with just a few cranks of the handle, and the HOLLY Confetti Cuts allowed me to put a holiday spin on these tags, just in time for the holidays!

MY2

Once I’d decided on my design, I simply cut enough tags and holly for 3 more gift card holders since I knew that I needed 4 of these for the kitchen crew at school. I used the circle die from LAYERED SNOWFLAKE Confetti Cuts for the sparkly berry to keep things simple and moving right along. I also taped the tag die and gift card slit together in order to cut both pieces at once.

MY2

Thanks for stopping by for Confetti Camera. I hope you’ve been inspired to get a head start on your gift card giving this year!

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By Jen del Muro
on November 18, 2015

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

It’s Wednesday and time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS exactly?…

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between. Today, Confetti Crew member, Amy Sheffer, shares a fun technique!

RCsnowflakeornament1-2

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Amy here today, working with one of my favorite materials — felt. I’ve used the Layered Snowflake die set to create a dimensional ornament perfect for hanging on the tree or using as package toppers.

RCfeltsnowflakesupplies

SupplyList2015

3 large snowflake base piece die-cuts, one out of felt, two out of card stock

3 medium snowflakes, white felt

3 small snowflakes, aqua felt

2 buttons

1 icicle dangling bead

silver sequins

metallic silver embroidery floss

needle and thread (not shown)

Reverse Confetti WITH LOVE stamp set

Reverse Confetti LAYERED SNOWFLAKE Confetti Cuts die set (not shown)

Tutorial:

RCfeltsnowflake1-1

  1. Onto the large felt snowflake base, layer one white snowflake, then one aqua snowflake, one white, and one aqua.

RCfeltsnowflake1-2

  1. Machine stitch through all layers along the center of the snowflakes.

RCfeltsnowflake1-3

  1. Press the seams to give the snowflake dimension.

RCfeltsnowflake1-4

  1. Optional. I took a third white medium snowflake, cut it in half and adhered each half with fabric glue to the gray backer piece. (That extra felt layer made the stack too thick to stitch easily, so this was my solution.)

RCfeltsnowflake1-5

  1. Adhere sequins with fabric glue.

RCfeltsnowflake1-6

  1. Adhere felt snowflake to a large card stock snowflake for stability. Sew a dangling bead to the bottom (or hang with a jump ring)

RCfeltsnowflake1-7

  1. Add a hanging loop to the top and embellish the snowflake with buttons.

RCfeltsnowflake1-8

  1. I plan to make these to use as package toppers, so I’ve stamped the “to/from” from With Love to a second card stock snowflake base, heat embossed in white, and adhered to the back of the ornament.

Here’s how it looks in action on a tree:

Thanks for joining me today. Happy Wednesday!

CRAZY FOR CHRISTMAS: MEMORY KEEPING

By Jen del Muro
on November 12, 2015

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to the third and final day of CRAZY FOR CHRISTMAS!

CrazyForChristmas_3MemoryKeeping

Today is all about MEMORY KEEPING.  It’s not just scrapbook pages, but rather much more than that to get you inspired to create with your holiday photos.  You’ll find a full list of the Confetti Crew members posting today toward the end of this post.

. . . . .

As you know, I am a self-described “un-scrapbooker.”  This comes doing one scrapbook, my wedding album, and thinking that I needed much more instant gratification.  In short, that is how I got into card making.  However, I still love to play around with photos of my family and friends and create with them.  So, what’s an “un-scrapbooker” to do when they want to create with photos?

This…

DSC06311

If the first thing that you are noticing is that there are no pictures, you’re right (LOL!).  I’ll be adding pictures from this year to this creation.

Basically, it’s a scrapbook layout with out the actual scrapBOOK.  Instead, I have added it to a frame that I picked up at my local Michaels.  I usually buy a few of these at a time so that I can have them on hand for my “un-scrapbooking.”

The two kraft panels are cut from the WOODGRAIN Confetti Cuts die.  While I will be adding pictures over these, I will leave the edges showing so that it appears as a wood frame…

DSC06316

The word “merry” is cut from the WINTER WORDS Confetti Cuts die set and mounted on a piece of white cardstock.  The scalloped polka dot edge is cut from our DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.  I did not completely adhere the border, as I curled the edges up for a little bit of detail and dimension.

DSC06312

Above the (to be) pictures is a wreath cut twice from the large wreath in the WREATHS Confetti Cuts die set and is adorned with a heart from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set.  To top it all off, I embellished with a button tied off with CAPPUCCINO TWINE and jingle bells.  The wreath is only adhered to the project at the top so that I may easily add pictures…

DSC06313

. . . . .

Of course, there is a lot more to see today!

CRAZY FOR CHRISTMAS: GIFT GIVING

By Jen del Muro
on November 11, 2015

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to our second day of CRAZY FOR CHRISTMAS!

Today, we are filling you up with inspirational GIFT GIVING ideas!

CrazyForChristmas_2GiftGiving

. . . . .

I think that we can all relate to food related gifts when it comes to the holidays.  I know that I seem to both give and receive plenty of them, and that is why I chose to do a food related item for our GIFT GIVING segment of CRAZY FOR CHRISTMAS.

I love to bake and give cookies and breads and that is where this idea started.  However, I do have to admit that I ran a little short on time and had to actually buy the loaf of bread that is featured below.  It is “fresh baked,” just not by yours truly…

DSC06012

I wrapped the bread (baked at a local bakery) in parchment paper.  I had planned to tape down the edges of the parchment paper and simply put the wrap around it.  Well, I learned something…nothing sticks to parchment paper.  I tried 5 different tapes before throwing my hands in the air in need of having to coming up with plan B to keep the parchment paper actually on the bread.  This problem lead to a great (in my humble opinion) design solution…CAPPUCCINO TWINE wrapped around the the loaf of bread 3 times.  After the twine (and the parchment paper) were securely in place, I added the belly band…

DSC06013

The belly band consist of a few different pieces:

-a kraft strip of cardstock that is run through the paper crimper (again, yes, I still own one of those!)

-a cream strip of cardstock that is stamped repeatedly with the “Fresh Baked” sentiment from the new “WITH LOVE” stamp set

-a large wreath created from 2 cuts of the WREATHS Confetti Cuts die set

-an embellishment consisting of the large heart from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set, a button tied off with CAPPUCCINO TWINE and jingle bells and the “with love” sentiment from the WITH LOVE stamp set

DSC06028

DSC06029

Whether you are baking or buying your bread/treats this year, this is a fun and easy way to dress up the packaging and make it more personal.

. . . . .

Of course, we have even more inspiration waiting for you!

CRAZY FOR CHRISTMAS: READY TO PARTY

By Jen del Muro
on November 10, 2015

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to the first day of our three day event, CRAZY FOR CHRISTMAS!

Over the next three days we are going to give you the ultimate in Christmas inspiration!  Today, we “READY TO PARTY!”  You’ll see all things party related using Reverse Confetti products.

A full list of Confetti Crew members participating today is toward the end of this post.  Be sure to stop by at each blog so you don’t miss a thing!

. . . . .

Today, I am sharing a simple HOT COCOA BAR.  I say “simple” because this really came together quite quickly.  I’ve seen much more elaborate set-ups, but I wanted to share something that was definitely “do-able.”

DSC06304

Included in this HOT COCOA BAR:

-Cocoa Mix

-Mugs with “Swizzle Sticks” (embellished paper straws)

-Chocolate Dipped Straws (easily homemade, but these are from Home Goods)

-Condiments: Mints, Cookies and Jumbo Marshmallows

Each of the labels is created from the new GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts die.  To embellish, I used the LAYERED SNOWFLAKE Confetti Cuts die set, the new HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die set, LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set, CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set and the STITCHED FLAG TRIO Confetti Cuts die set.  The lettering is all done with the new ALPHABETICAL Confetti Cuts stamp set.

DSC06282

DSC06280

Although the chocolate dipped straws are store bought, I did personalize them a little by adding the word “STIR” using Brilliance Graphite Black Pigment Ink…

DSC06278

The swizzle sticks are green and white paper straws that I picked up in the Michaels dollar section and are embellished with snowflakes from the LAYERED SNOWFLAKE Confetti Cuts die set (heart from LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set)…

I have a few projects to share with you today using these new products.

This first one uses the new GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts die set…

DSC06149

Also on this money holder tag is the WREATHS Confetti Cuts, HOLLY Confetti Cuts, WINTER WORDS Confetti Cuts and WINTER WORDS COORDINATES that we released last month and the GIVE THANKS LABEL Confetti Cuts.

The holly leaves are cut from vellum and the word “merry” and holly berries are cut from glitter cardstock…

. . . . .

Here’s another project using the GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts die set.  This time I did not use the gift card “hole” for it, but rather kept it as a simple tag…

DSC06145

Also used on this tag is the new HANG UPS Confetti Cuts (re-inforcer),  WITH LOVE stamp set and the (previously released) WHOLE LOTTA DOTS stamp set, along with the CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set, DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die set and HOLLY Confetti Cuts die set.

Detail shots…

DSC06141

. . . . .

These next tags use the TOPPED OFF TAG along with the new HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die set and the new Holly Jolly QUICK CARD PANELS

DSC06196

Going from left to right, I added just a little more detail to each.  The tag on the left is simply cut from the TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts die and then I added the HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die cuts to the top.

The middle one is also cut from the TOPPED OFF TAG and has the HANG UPS detail on it, but I also added the small wreath from the WREATHS Confetti Cuts die set and embellished it with sequins and rhinestones.  Here’s a detail shot of this tag…

DSC06162

The one on the right is the most embellished.  As with the others, it is cut from the TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts die. I added the “topper” to it, along with a re-inforcer.  Under the topper is a scalloped edge cut from the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.  The bottom has both an embellishment from the HOLLY Confetti Cuts die set along with a sentiment panel stamped with the new WITH LOVE stamp set.

. . . . .

Just one more project to share before I send you on  your way…

DSC06192

This tag features the TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts, BUBBLY TAG TOPPER Confetti Cuts, HANG UPS Confetti Cuts and the new WITH LOVE STAMP SET…I just love how these all play so well together!  I tied off the top with some the STRAWBERRY TWINE we now have in store.

. . . . .

Yesterday we introduced the first of two tag sets that we are releasing this month.  That’s right ‘Fetti Fans, we have another tag set releasing on November 8th and I think you’re gonna love it!

TOPPED OFF TAG

ToppedOffTagCCProductGraphic

This is a piece die set that features a tag and then two complementing layers, one for the top and one for the left side of the tag die.

This was one of those “light bulb” ideas that came to me while I was doodling in my sketch book and I am so pleased with how this product (and some others…hint, hint) came out.

My first project that I have to share with you today is a set of 3 tags using the new TOPPED OFF TAG along with the new HANG UPS Confetti Cuts and the MERRY & BRIGHT stamp set (with coordinating Confetti Cuts – released last month)…

DSC06071

For this tag set, I cut 3 white tags and then 3 black cardstock cuts of the diagonal stripe layer for the left side of the tag.  I added the light bulbs on dimensional adhesive and finished it all off with hangers from the new HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die set…

DSC06075

DSC06074

DSC06091

. . . . .

While I do love making tags, I really wanted to incorporate one into a card.  For this next project I’m sharing, I used both the new GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts and the new TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts (I love how these layer!!!)…

DSC06066

The vellum piece is cut from the GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts die and then I layered a piece of pink cardstock and a TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts.

The word is cut from the HELLO Confetti Cuts die in gold cardstock and I created a hanger with the HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die set to coordinate.  Here’s a close up of both the hanger and the stripe layer that “tops off” the tag (hence the name)…

COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI: 2 NEW STAMP SETS, PLUS MUCH MORE RC GOODNESS

By Jen del Muro
on November 05, 2015

Hello, and welcome to DAY ONE of sneak peeks, or as we like to say THE COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI!

Last month, we released our 2015 Holiday Collection and this month is a little bit of a continuation of that release, less the emphasis on “holiday.”  These 2 new stamp sets and 4 new Confetti Cuts die sets are ones that you are going to find yourself reaching for during the holiday season and then time and time again.  Of course, we have a new set of QUICK CARD PANELS, and those are definitely filled with lots of Christmas cheer!

ReadyForConfetti

Don’t forget to leave a comment here and on each sneak peek post this week for a chance to win!

In addition to having a chance to win just by leaving a comment on the sneak peek posts, we are also running a Facebook promotion (starting at 9am EST today).  After you are done checking out the sneak peeks, head on over to OUR FACEBOOK PAGE and look for this graphic pinned to the top of our feed…

. . . . .

Ok, ‘Fetti Fans, you know the drill…

Sit back, grab that cuppa and check out all the Confetti Creativity we have in store for you today with the new release goodies!

First, let’s introduce the new *limited edition* QUICK CARD PANELS

HOLLY JOLLY

QCP_ProductGraphic

. . . . .

QUICK CARD PANELS are limited edition premium heavyweight cardstock panels measuring 3.25″ x 4.5″.  Each package contains 2 of each 8 printed design.  They are designed for A2 card making, but you can easily use them on all of your paper crafting projects!  We will have a new set of QUICK CARD PANELS with each release. Grab them while you can, because once they’re gone, they’re gone!

You’ll see the new limited edition QUICK CARD PANELS used on a variety of projects from the Confetti Crew.  We can’t wait to see how you will use them on your creations!

One thing that you’ll notice with these QUICK CARD PANELS is that they are specifically designed to go with the tags that we are releasing this month.  Of course, they’re still perfect for card panels, too!

. . . . .

Next up on the introductions is a new tag set that I one of the Confetti Crew Design Team members described as “life changing!”  I don’t know how it will change your life, but it’s definitely changing how I package some of my Christmas gifts!

GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG

GiftCardHolderTagCCProductGraphic

This 5 piece Confetti Cuts die set features a large tag, a rectangle panel that cuts and leaves a debossed line on the negative, a gift card insert and 2 decorative banners that match up with the gift card insert.

. . . . .

As you know, it’s all about the details with me.  I created these super fun “hangers” to complement the tags being released this month.  It’s a simple design element that I think goes a long way…

HANG UPS

HangUpsCCProductGraphic

. . . . .

I have a couple of more introductions before I share my projects with you today.

This month, we are releasing 2 new stamp sets that are perfect for using on your holiday projects, but go well beyond these next couple of months.  They are perfect on tags (do you see a theme here?), as well as cards and all of your other paper crafting projects.  Without further adieu…

WITH LOVE

WithLoveProductGraphic

ALPHABETICAL

(seriously, how fun is this font!?!)

AlphabeticalProductGraphic

. . . . .

Ok, now I’m ready to share my projects with you (FINALLY!)…

This first project set features (well, everything above…) the new *limited edition* Holly Jolly QUICK CARD PANELS, GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG, HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die sets, as well as both WITH LOVE and ALPHABETICAL

DSC05989

The “Holly Jolly” QUICK CARD PANEL is cut from the new GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts.

I simply adhered it to a card that had stitched detailing and added the HOLLY Confetti Cuts that we released last month for a simple and fun embellishment…

DSC05993

One more detail shot…

DSC05992

The second part of this gift set is a candy jar that was so easy and inexpensive to put together.  I may just have to keep a few of these on hand for when I need a quick giftie for a friend, hostess or neighbor…

DSC05997

The jar is from a Japanese dollar store that is local to me (Daiso).  I then filled it with peppermints that I purchased in bulk.

The top of the jar has a few different elements adhered to it, making it more than just a dollar store jar.

First, I cut a small scalloped circle from kraft paper from the CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set.  I ran that through my paper crimper (yes, really, I still have one!). From there, I added a small wreath cut from the WREATHS Confetti Cuts die set.   While that was cute, it still needed a little something. I painted a wooden ball/bead white, added a rhinestone to the top (to cover the hole) and then added ribbon and a name tag.

As you can see, the name tag is stamped with letters from the new ALPHABETICAL stamp set and then “embellished” with the scalloped edge HANG UPS Confetti Cuts.  The re-inforcer is also from the HANG UPS Confetti Cuts set…

DSC05995

. . . . .

I’ve mentioned a couple of times that these are necessarily holiday products and I want to show you how I used them on non-holiday projects.

Here are a couple of birthday tags that I did with the GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts die set and WITH LOVE stamp set (stars are from the OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die set)…

DSC05999

Here’s a closer peek at each…

DSC06016

HOW TO CREATE A GIFT CARD POCKET:

  1. Cut 2 tags

  2. From one of the tags, cut the gift card pocket slot (it’s the die that kind of looks like a smiley).

  3. Stamp and embellish as desired

  4. Adhere tag from step 2 to other tag…adhering ONLY the edges

The mini banners are meant to embellish the slot that the gift card slides into.  They match up perfectly to the curve, or you can layer them across, too!

Detail shot of the gift card slot…

DSC06005

As you can see, I used the flower re-inforcer from the new HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die set on the top hole of this tag.  I tied it off with orange ribbon and STRAWBERRY TWINE (love this stuff!!).

The other tag features a slightly more “boy” color scheme.  I layered the banners on this one to go all the way across the tag and added both the hanger and re-inforcer from the HANG UPS Confetti Cuts die set.  This one has MIDNIGHT BLUE TWINE pulled through the HANG UPS loop…

DSC06023

On both of these the word “celebrate” is stamped in orange and then I used different colors on the “happy birthday” sentiment.

Detail shots…

DSC06021

DSC06019

. . . . .

I have one more project to share with you today and then I am going to send you on your way to see all of the creations that the Confetti Crew and our ‘Fetti Friends have put together.

I’m switching back into holiday mode for this one…a very sweet and simple ornament created from clay and personalized with the ALPHABETICAL stamp set.

DSC06031

Of course, I had the idea to do this yesterday afternoon…eek.  I had to use my oven to expedite the drying time of the “air dry” clay.  I set it to 175* and checked on it every 20 minutes or so and it was done within a couple of hours (YAY!).

Here are the supplies used for this project (stamp set not shown)…

20151104

The clay was purchased at Michaels and the cookie cutter is just one from my stash.  I used a plastic straw to cut the ribbon hole.  The rolling pin was used to flatten the clay out (on top of wax paper).

Here I am cutting the clay after it was rolled out…

20151104_12_resized

I then “punched” the ribbon hole out with the plastic straw and stamped the words “Christmas 2015” using the ALPHABETICAL stamp set.

Sorry for the poor lighting on the pic below (I’m still getting used to the sun setting an hour earlier!).

Here is a  shot that shows a bit of the depth of the lettering, as well as the ribbon and button embellishment (tied off with NATURAL TWINE)…

This clay can be painted, etc. once it is dry.  I wanted a more “rustic” feel to this particular ornament, but I think that I will have my kids do some and then have them paint them.

CONFETTI CAMERA

By Jen del Muro
on October 29, 2015

Hello and Happy Thursday, ‘Fetti Fans!

This week is just blazing right by us, I swear!  I have lots of design work planned out for the next few days in preparation of the upcoming November 8th release. This release is a bit smaller than most of our other releases and I think you’ll find the new goodies perfect additions to your RC collection!  More to come on that very soon!

As for today, it’s time for another edition of CONFETTI CAMERA!

Up in the spotlight today is the one and only, JEAN MANIS

JeanIntroPic

Hello, Fetti’ Fans! It’s Jean Manis bringing you this week’s Confetti Camera. I’m sharing a set of CAS holiday cards featuring the Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts set in non-traditional colors.

RCSetemUp

For the card set, I created four variations on the same design.

To begin, I cut snowflakes from both white and silver cardstock (two each per card). For two of the cards, I stamped the sentiment “love & joy” from Winter Word Coordinates and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder on a white cardstock panel. I used the largest die in the Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts to cut a window in the panel. I adhered the snowflakes together and inside the window, backed with the colored cardstock using dimensional adhesive.

The panels were attached to a silver cardstock bases.

RCSetemUpver1

For the other two cards, I die cut a sentiment from Winter Words Confetti Cuts from silver cardstock (twice for dimension) and adhered the sentiment to a colored cardstock panel onto which the snowflakes were attached with dimensional adhesive.

The colored cardstock panels were attached to white cardstock bases.

By simplifying the design and color options, and adding metallic accents with cardstock and heat-embossing, a CAS set of holiday cards are easily mass produced!

SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY

By Jen del Muro
on October 26, 2015

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!  My family and I traveled up to Oklahoma to visit friends and attend the OU/Texas Tech football game (hubs is an OU alum).   Here’s a pic of us in our seats (waaay up at the top).  Fortunately, we had some friends sitting in the lower level that we joined in the second half.
