By admin
on September 06, 2013

Hello and welcome to DAY TWO of sneak peeks here at Reverse Confetti!

We are just a couple short days away from our new release.  On September 8th, we will be releasing FIVE NEW STAMPS SETS.

Here’s our release schedule.  Take note on how you can win!

SeptReleaseSchedule

As a reminder, all of our releases will happen on the 8th of the month…just not every month.  We will release new product every other month.  We’ll still be hopping on the 8th, whether there is a release or not.  Just remember, “Eight is Great!”

. . . . .

While the mercury is still on the rise here in North Texas, I’ve been dreaming of the cooler fall days that are up ahead.  These inspiration photos paint the perfect picture of the autumn that I look forward to…

Yesterday, I mentioned reflecting on the good things, people and times in our lives.  One of the sets that I am introducing today, FOREVER FALL, builds on that theme. But, don’t be fooled by the name as this set will be a go-to all year round!  Psst…in case you missed it, my SFYTT post has a sneak peek of this set, too.

ForeverFallProductGraphicBlogGraphic copy

One of my favorite things to do is to make gifties for my kiddos’ teachers (and other special neighbors and friends).  Sometimes it’s as easy as attaching a tag to some candy and other times it’s much more elaborate.  Whether the gift is little or large, I always feel good letting these people know that I am thankful to have them in my life.

Tags are fun easy to make and a great way to dress up a little something.  Here I added it to a tube filled with white chocolate covered candy corn M & M’s which, for the record, are the sweetest thing I have ever eaten…

TagMrsV

In addition to using FOREVER FALL on this tag, I also personalized it with LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS, an alphabet (and numbers, and punctuation) set that is also being released on September 8th…

LightheartedLetterProductGraphicBlogGraphic

Next, I created a clean and simple (everyday) thank you card that highlights my favorite sentiment from the set…

COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI: COUNT YOUR RAINBOWS

By admin
on September 05, 2013

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans!

I am absolutely *thrilled* to kick off our sneak peeks for our September 8th release today!

On Sunday, September 8th we are releasing FIVE NEW SETS!  Here’s our release schedule.  Be sure to take note on how you can win!

SeptReleaseSchedule

As a reminder, all of our releases will happen on the 8th of the month…just not every month.  We will release new product every other month.  We’ll still be hopping on the 8th, whether there is a release or not.  Just remember, “Eight is Great!”

. . . . .

As we head into fall, and inevitably the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s nice to take time to reflect on what we have.  While material possessions may come to mind, this reflection also encompasses the blessings that we have in our family and friends and the good times shared with them, which is the foundation on what this set was built.

The first set reveal and sneak peeks for this release are for our new COUNT YOUR RAINBOWS set from our KEY WORDS COLLECTION.  Like our previous releases in the KEY WORDS COLLECTION, this set features a “key word” (COUNT) that can be mixed and matched with other words in this set to create a wide variety of sentiments.  In addition, there are two beautiful stand alone sentiments, as well as numbers and a dashed line to create lists or use as elements on your projects.

CountYourRainbowsBlogGraphic

A few ideas on how this set can be used…

Count_MixSheet

I created this very clean and simple (CAS) card using the namesake sentiment, along with some enamel dots in various (rainbow) colors.  The left side panel is embossed to give the card some texture, while not taking away from the focal point…

CountYourRainbows2

While I absolutely love doing clean and simple cards, it’s also fun to layer it up, add some punched elements and pop on some bling, like I did on this card using one of the stand alone sentiments from this set…

TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY

By admin
on September 03, 2013

There’s nothing like starting the week with a day off!  And, really “day off” is a bit of an exaggeration…I got a lot done yesterday!  It’s back to the real “grind” day and we are busy lil’ bees here at Reverse Confetti.  I *may* have mentioned that our next release is just around the corner.  You all (or as we say around here, “y’all”) are gonna LOVE the FIVE new sets that we will start sneak peeking on Thursday.  While I am so very excited for sneak peeks, I am also thrilled to be announcing a new Confetti Crew team member tomorrow!  I just know that you will adore her and her Reverse Confetti creations just as much as we do!

. . . . .

It’s Tuesday, which means TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!

I was really inspired by Confetti Crew member Laurie and her card HERE when I made this card…

DreamInColor

To created the mottled dots from WHOLE LOTTA DOTS, I colored them with 3 different color Tombow markers (purple, dark pink and a lighter pink) and then spritzed the colored stamped lightly with water.  Then, I barely tapped the stamp to the paper, which created the this look.  It’s a simple technique that can be done with a variety of backgrounds and/or images.

Detail shot…

DreamInColor_detail

The sentiment is from the DREAM IN COLOR set, which is part of our Key Words Collection where there is a “key word” that you can mix and match with a variety of sentiments to get the most use from one set.

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By admin
on August 28, 2013

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS? It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  Today we’re focusing on PEACOCKS, but a variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

The peacock trend is HOT throughout the wedding, accessory and home decor industry. I was at Barnes & Noble recently admiring this Nook tablet cover…

Peacock

The trend has trickled into paper crafting lately, with pattern paper in the peacock palette, as well as peacock feather pattern paper…and, of course, PEACOCK PRETTIES.  Needless to say, I love the trend.  The feathers, the shapes and the colors all speak to me.

With that Nook cover in mind, I created this card using PEACOCK PRETTIES. I went in a *slightly* different direction when it came to choosing the palette.  Me and purple don’t always get along…in paper crafting, at least!  I embossed the feather in gold and then added some gold sequins to give the card a bit of bling…

‘FETTI FINDS & WEEKLY LINK LIST

By admin
on August 26, 2013

Hello and Happy Monday!

It’s the first day of school here and I can’t believe that I have a second grader in the house.  Seriously, didn’t I just bring her home from the hospital yesterday?  Needless to say, it’s all a little bittersweet!  Although, I am happy that I will be finding a little more time to craft, create and, of course, design more stamps!  Right now, I am gearing up for our September release, which is happening in just less than two weeks.  Stay tuned for more info, sneak peeks AND an introduction to a new Confetti Crew member!

. . . . .

While Monday can be the most dreaded day of the week, we love it here at Reverse Confetti!  We get to recognize our customers and their awesome Reverse Confetti creations!

Drumroll, please!

The ‘Fetti Finds from last week’s link list are Taheerah Atchia and Sandy Allnock!

We want to see your Reverse Confetti creations!  Post them here for a chance to win FREE STAMPS!

Each Monday we’ll be posting:

  • The ‘FETTI FINDS from the previous week’s link list.
  • A new link list at the bottom of the ‘Fetti Find post.  It will remain open through Saturday of that week.

<– FIND IT FAST: You’ll be able to find the current ‘Fetti Find post quickly by clicking on the button on the sidebar.

The last day of the month:

  • The ‘FETTI FAVE will be announced here on the Reverse Confetti blog.  This will be one of the ‘Fetti Finds from that month and they will be chosen based on their project and creative use of REVERSE CONFETTI stamps.  The ‘FETTI FAVE will receive the ENTIRE NEXT STAMP RELEASE and be invited to play along with the Confetti Crew for sneak peek days and the new release hop.

Just a couple of rules…

  • Anything goes, as long as Reverse Confetti stamps are the only stamps used OR are the main focal point of the project.
  • No limit to the number of projects linked, but they must be posted to your blog or gallery that same week (no linking older projects).

WEEK IN REVERSE

By admin
on August 16, 2013

Hello and Happy Friday!  One of the last Fridays of summer vacation…oh where, oh where has the time gone?  I’ll be savoring these last few days of summer before school gets back in session (which, by the way, I am ready for!).  I hope that you all do the same.

I have had several inquiries regarding ARROWS ‘N ELEMENTS.   It has been re-ordered and should be here next week.  I will post on Facebook and send out a newsletter when it is back in stock.  Thank you for your patience…and for loving this set so much!

. . . . .

Well, being that it is Friday, it’s time to take a look back at what the Confetti Crew created this week.  Enjoy this WEEK IN REVERSE

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By admin
on August 14, 2013

Howdy, friends!

Thanks to everyone that took advantage of my birthday sale!  I had a wonderful birthday spent with my family, as we concluded our “staycation.”  I enjoyed all the FB messages, texts, calls and emails welcoming me into the next age demographic (35).  And, while I have still been working during our “staycation,” today it’s back to “the grind.”  Good thing I have a job I love!

. . . . .

It’s time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS? It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  Today we’re focusing on WATERCOLORS, but a variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

WITW_paint

While putting together all the school supplies for my daughter this year, I came across her set of watercolor paints and had a little light bulb go off in my head.  I have seen a few different techniques and sat down and tried a few.  While I wasn’t loving the look of the technique panels, I found that I loved how a few swashes looked together and created these 4.25″ cards…

WITW_2cards

These clean and simple cards came together so quickly and I just love how they came out.  I used 3 different colors to create the swashes on each card, let it dry (<–important) and then stamped it in black with a sentiment from PEACOCK PRETTIES.  The black matting panel was added to compliment the sentiment and it makes a great frame for the simple, yet dynamic, panel.

Detail shots…

WITW_pink

WITW_blue

Chances are you already have a set of watercolors in your house, but if not run out and get some!  They’re great to have around and can help create such fun, yet easy, cards like these that I’ll be making more of and putting together in a gift set.

TIP: Love square cards, but can’t find square envelopes?  Create 4.25″ square cards…they’ll fit right into your A2 envies with no extra postage required (based on size).

TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY

By admin
on August 06, 2013

Howdy, ‘Fetti Friends!

I hope everyone’s week has started off well.  Over here in the del Muro house, we are squeezing in as much (local) fun into these last few weeks of summer before school starts again.  Lots of fun in the sun, as well as some shady play dates are up ahead. At Reverse Confetti, we are gearing up for all things fall and then we’ll be jumping into all the winter holidays.  I hope you’re ready for all the great new things that are up ahead!

As you know, we don’t release every month, but rather every other month. August is one of the months that we do not have a release, but we are still having a lot of fun here and it’s sure to be a month chock full of great projects and  inspiration.  Of course, we’ll be hopping on the 8th, as always.  We hope you’ll join us…

Hop

. . . . .

Right now, it’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!

This is actually a card that I made for one of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges over on Splitcoast Stampers last week.  The challenge was “Simply Sparkly,” meaning a clean and simple (CAS) card with a bit of bling.  I love making CAS cards and there’s no secret that I have a thing for bling!

DTGD_SimplySparkly

I started by stamping the words AWESOME from the ARROWS ‘N ELEMENTS set and then added three strips of (double stick) red line tape in a diagonal to the bottom half of the die cut (Silhouette) tag.  Next, I added the glitter one color at a time.

DTGD_SimplySparkly_detail2

I couldn’t stop at just glitter for a challenge that called for bling!  I also spritzed the base of my card with a little Heidi Swapp Color Shine it Teal.  It’s very subtle, but breaks up all the white just enough.  Plus it sparkles a little bit…bonus!

DTGD_SimplySparkly_detail1

As you can see, I also added sequins and topped them with rhinestones for just that added little bit of bling (and color).

Because this card has so much sparkly stuff going on, I wanted to make sure the rest of the card was CAS just as the challenge called for.  I kept the layers to a minimum and the paper color palette is completely neutral.  When I added the kraft panel on the right, I needed a way to bring it together on the rest of the card.  To do this, I layered it under the white star and added kraft colored linen thread.
