Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and HAPPY SPRING!

We’re celebrating the flowers blooming and birds chirping with an inspiration filled SPRING FLING Blog Hop!

SpringFlingGraphic

We’ll be giving away a $15 gift certificate to one lucky commenter, too!  Just leave a comment at each stop along the way for your chance to win.  Comments will be open today through Sunday with a winner announced next week.

. . . . .

My project today is a sweet and simple treat basket that I created from the GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts die set (how-to information below)…

DSC_0500

The “main image panel” on the front of the treat basket is created from the FLOWERS FOR MOM and BUTTERFLY DREAMS Confetti Cuts die sets.  I stamped the “happy spring” sentiment (from HIPPITY HOPPITY) on the banner in white pigment ink…

 DSC_0503

The treat basket is filled with paper grass and a little plastic carrot “egg” that I picked up at Hobby Lobby (I think)…

DSC_0512

While this treat basket is all about “spring,” it will be easy to switch up the color/theme for year-round fun!!

How to create this treat basket…

  • Cut 4 of the GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG from cardstock
  • Cut one 3 3/16″ square from same cardstock as tag
  • Score tags at 1″ from the top of the tag & 3/4″ from bottom
  • Adhere top end of tag to each side of square
  • Wrap with patterned paper and embellish
  • Optional: add a 1/2″ handle (mine started at 8.5″ in length and is adhered almost an inch in on each side)
  • Fill it up and give to a family member or friend

. . . . .

It’s time to get hoppin’ and see what the rest of the Crew came up with!

Hey, it’s Amy T here with today’s Confetti Camera!  This round is full of celebrations…excluding birthdays!  What started out to be card/tag candy became celebration cards:
Card Candy trio by Amy Tsuruta for Reverse Confetti
I’m pretty smitten with the new Happy Pretty Panel confetti cut teamed up with the Whole Lotta Happy stamp set!  I love great all occasion supplies and these new products certainly work their magic.
I love St. Patty’s Day and I’m not even Irish!  It’s strictly my love of the color green.  Do you see that sweet glittery shamrock?  I took the small heart confetti cut from the S’more Love confetti cut set and adhered them together.

New Hive Home – how can anyone resist that fun bee from The Buzz?  I used clear Wink of Stella on her wings.

Easter!  That sweet bird ALWAYS gets me…she’s such a cutie pie, all dolled up with her felt pink bloom!  The Tweet Life is such a fun set, along with the coordinating confetti cuts!

TIP:  Mass production is made easier with repeating supplies, I used the Happy Pretty Panel confetti cuts + Whole Lotta Happy stamp set as my go to supply.

WEEK IN REVERSE

By Jen del Muro
on February 19, 2016

Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

I don’t often share a lot of my personal life.  Mostly, I think you are here for the creative side of things and also because I am a private person by nature. I wanted to open up a little about me on this WEEK IN REVERSE.  I guess it’s somewhat therapeutic for me to write it all out, but also to let you all into my world and know that I am more than just stamping.

What a week it has been!  This week has been one of worst I can remember and I am hoping for a little sunshine to shine down on my little family sooner than later. Yes, we still have lots to be thankful for and I am…so very much! But, between the flu in our house (and we got our flu shots!), the plumbing going awry (and is going to be big bucks to fix) and various little things it’s been a week to forget, that’s for sure!

This week has been quite bittersweet, too.  On Friday we brought home a new puppy.  Meet Rocky…

Rocky

We got him through our local rescue, ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation)  They say he’s a mastiff mix.  One thing is for sure is that he is a total sweetie.  I plan to share more pictures of this cutie as he grows into his ginormous paws.

It been hard to give our hearts to him, though.  On the heels of bringing him home, we also found out that our 11 year old dog, Cooper, has cancer.  To say that our hearts are broken beyond repair is an understatement.  He was one of our babies before we even had babies.  He sleeps between us in bed and gets nervous when we cry…he’s been extra nervous the last few days.   We know we don’t have long with him and I am going to cherish every last cuddle and loving lick I can.  If you are the praying kind, please pray for him and my kids, as we are talking to them about it tonight.  Good vibes and virtual hugs accepted, too! Thank you!!

CONFETTI CAMERA

By Jen del Muro
on February 18, 2016

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Thursday!

We have a super cute Confetti Camera here for you today!

ConfettiCameraRCblog

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.

For this round each of our designers are working on Celebrations!  However, there is a little something different…I have challenged them to forego birthdays and to “think outside the card.”  I think you are going to LOVE what you see!

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

. . . . .

In the spotlight today is the incredibly talented and sweet, KAY MILLER

Kay

Hello! Kay here with the next installment of Confetti Camera! We are challenged this time to create something to celebrate, but not a birthday theme. So being as it’s getting close to Easter I chose to Celebrate Spring’s arrival and the upcoming Easter Holiday. I created two cute little Easter treat boxes to give my kids for Easter, featuring the new Hippity Hoppity stamps and coordinating Confetti Cuts dies.

K1

I started by putting together two of the Tagged Totes boxes, one in blue and one in pink. I cut the arched piece that comes with the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts die set out of some cute patterned paper to decorate the fronts. For the blue box with the boy bunny, I used the scalloped frame from Love Note Confetti Cuts and cut one out of white. I cut a coordinating piece of patterned paper out with the Class Act Confetti Cuts and glued that on. I adhered this to the box front with foam tape. For the pink girly box, I did the same, but used Circle N’ Scallops Confetti Cuts.

K3

K4

I then colored the two little bunnies with Copic markers, cut them out and adhered them to their bags with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out like a banner and adhered this along the bottom of each with foam tape. I added the little eggs and die cut some greenery with the Leafy Confetti Cuts to tuck in behind each of them. I then cut out four of the little bows from the Tagged Tote and glued two, slightly skewed, to the top of each bag.

K5

K6

I was so tickled at how cute these turned out. I can’t wait to fill them with Easter candy for the kids! My daughter’s going to love the box as much as what’s in it. My son, while he’ll appreciate that I went to the trouble, he’ll be all about the candy!

I have a couple of projects to share with you today featuring some of the new product that is now available.  There is a link list to the Confetti Crew just below my projects for all of the Confetti Crew and our February ‘Fetti Friend posting today.  The inspiration is contagious, let me tell you!

My first project today is 2 tags featuring the new HIPPITY HOPPITY stamp and Confetti Cuts die sets along with the new Hoppin’ Dots QUICK CARD PANELS and EDGERS Confetti Cuts…

1602_HH_08

These tags are cut using our TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts die set.  I then stamped, colored and layered the bunnies and their design elements atop a hill created with the new curved line EDGER Confetti Cuts.

DSC_0012

The girl bunny card also features a cloud cut from the SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set and then stamped with the SO STRIPEY stamp set.  The sentiment is stamped with white pigment ink on the bottom edge…

DSC_0014

For the boy bunny tag, I cut it from the new Hoppin’ Dots QUICK CARD PANELS.  I just love the “Hippity Hop Hop” saying on this one!

DSC_0018

My other project for today features the new THE LORD’S STRENGTH stamp set, along with the GIVE THANKS LABEL Confetti Cuts die set (re-released last month) and the WOODGRAIN and LEAFY Confetti Cuts die sets…

DSC_0215-Recovered

I don’t know that I could technically classify this under a “fun fold” type of card, but I did trim off about an inch on the right side of this card for a little added detail.  I love how it came out!

WEEK IN REVERSE

By Jen del Muro
on March 27, 2015

Hello and Happy Friday!

If you are a newsletter subscriber, you were one of the first to know this AWESOME NEWS…

NextRelease

As you know, we generally release every other month – on odd months.  We’re shaking things up a bit and having a SPECIAL RELEASE on April 8th.  Sneak Peeks start on April 5th…yes, I know that is Easter, but we always start on the 5th and we’re sticking to that schedule…call it OCD, or whatever you will, but I have a thing for consistency on things like that.

This really is a GREAT release coming up!  It is very much inspired by the creative energy I experienced and the trending themes that I saw at CHA in January.

In addition to that super fun news that was in our newsletter, subscribers also got a first look at some awesome deals that are happening in our store right now.  I’ll be publishing them on the blog and Facebook tomorrow, just in case you missed them today.

. . . . .

Well, it’s Friday and you know what that means!  It’s time for WEEK IN REVERSE where we take a peek back at what the Confetti Crew has been up to this week.

TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY

By Jen del Muro
on March 24, 2015

Howdy ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Tuesday!

I hope that you all aren’t buried by the spring snow that I keep seeing all over my Facebook and Instagram feeds.  Mother Nature gave us so much rain last week, but now we are enjoying perfectly sunny days.  It’s only a matter of time before it becomes unbearably muggy, so we’ve been taking it in while the taking is good!

I’m glad I’ve had some indoor creating time, too!  I’m for some more of that this week (key word: hoping).  If anyone sees my mojo out there, go ahead and send it back my way.   It seems that it took off sometime yesterday morning and hasn’t been seen since.  Fortunately, I was able to create the TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY card for this post before it decided to go on hiatus.

I had fun with my Distress Inks with Heidi Swapp Color Shine here to create creatively colored Easter eggs (cut from the MORE THAN JELLYBEANS Confetti Cuts)…

EasterEggs

The grass was created with the new DOUBLE EDGE WONKY SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.  Since it’s a double sided die there is is seem between the bottom of the grass and the blades of grass that I (oh-so-creatively) “hid” with the sentiment (from Carton Cuties).  *wink*

EasterEggs1

I layered two suns cut from the new SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set and topped them off with a sequin and rhinestone combo.  The card seemed to need a little bling here and that tied in perfectly to the golden splashes on the eggs.

EasterEggs2

These eggs remind me of the ones that my lil’ guy makes when he can’t decide which color to dye his egg.  Well, except for the fact that a few of his end up just plain brown because of color indecision.  Any other mom that can relate to this?

. . . . .

Today we are introducing a stamp set with a coordinating Confetti Cuts die set.  Actually, it’s kind of the other way around.  It’s a Confetti Cuts die set that I designed and then created a stamp set to go with it.  Either way, I think you’ll love it!

This die was designed out of necessity in a way.  I am a little bit of a “last minute Lucy” and often times I find myself scrambling to make a card and/or a tag to attach to a gift.  These dies and stamps are my solution to that issue, plus they’re very versatile and can be used on many things, all year round (gotta love that!).

Introducing…

FOLDED TAG Confetti Cuts

FoldedTagProductGraphic

And…

FOLDED TAG SENTIMENTS

FoldedTagSentimentsProductGraphic

The FOLDED TAG Confetti Cuts die is a tag and card in one.  It can be used with the FOLDED TAG SENTIMENTS or on it’s own.  The sentiments fit on the rounded rectangle included with the die set and that will fit on the inside or outside of the FOLDED TAG Confetti Cuts die.  The bottom part flips up easily and then tucks under the flap. Easy peasy…and super cute!

Here’s a set I made using each of the sentiments…

TagGroup

I used a variety of colors of cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon and twine for a fun little mix!

The inside with a handwritten note…

And, a couple of group shots…

Trio2

Trio1

. . . . .

In addition to creating this group of tags, I had a little fun making the FOLDED TAG Confetti Cuts die into a little treat holder…

TagBunny

To created this treat holder tag, I measured how wide my chocolate carrots (which are way better than regular ones, by the way) were and scored an extra line across the FOLDED TAG Confetti Cuts.  I then attached the carrots with some double sided tape, flipped up the front (attached that to the front of the carrots on the inside with double sided tape, too) and embellished the front with the bunny from the new MORE THAN JELLYBEANS Confetti Cuts die set cut from felt.  I attached the felt bunny to a piece of die cut cardstock for a little more stability and then added the pink twine and puffy white tail.
