Hello and TGIF, ‘Fetti Fans!

I am definitely looking forward to this weekend!  The weather is supposed to be beautiful and I am excited to spend some quality time outside with the littles and my hubby.  I think I’ve convinced them to help me wash/clean out my car.  We’ll see if they are anywhere to be found when it comes time for that, though!

It’s a super special weekend at Reverse Confetti, too!  Sunday is our (monthly) blog hop and I promise you do not want to miss it!

CONFETTI CAMERA

on February 05, 2015

Greetings ‘Fetti Fans!

Today we have another wonderful edition of CONFETTI CAMERA to share with you.  Before we get to that, I want to remind you that Sunday we are having our monthly creative hop (remember, 8 is great!).  This hop is going to be extra sweet and filled with so much Confetti Creativity!

BlogHop8

. . . . .

CONFETTI CAMERA time!

ConfettiCameraRCblog

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from cards completed inside and out from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same “theme” until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

. . . . .

Up on Confetti Camera today is the super sweet, fun and talented STACEY SCHAFER

StaceyIntroPic

 . . . . .

Hey there, ‘Fetti Fans!  Stacey here with my take on the “Inside Out” Confetti Camera segment!

 rc love camera2

Reverse Confetti has the most versatile and user friendly Confetti Cuts and Stamps.

On the front of my card today, I layered up one of those LIMITED EDITION Happy Heart Day Quick Card Panels and some yummy papers cut with Envie WrapCircles ‘n Scallops and Heart to Heart Confetti Cuts.  The heart was stamped first with the Heart to Heart stamp set in a coordinating red ink and a few confetti hearts and stars were glued on to add to the movement and shine of the card.

rc love camera2 closeup

For the inside of the card, I used similar paper patterns with slightly different Confetti Cuts to show you just how well previously released and newly released Reverse Confetti products go together.

rc love camera inside2

Here I used the Circles ‘n Scallops and Heart to Heart Confetti Cuts again with a simply stamped red Heart to Heart heart, but added the Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts and a sweet sentiment from previously released Crushin’ stamp set.  Delightful!

rc love inside2 closeup

I hope you are inspired to combine your previously released and newly released Reverse Confetti goodies and create your own “Inside Out” card!

INTRODUCTIONS

By admin
on January 03, 2015

Hello and Happy Saturday, ‘Fetti Fans!

As you know, it’s gotta be something special if I’m blogging on a Saturday!  Today, I have a few introductions to make (I love these posts!).  We have a new Confetti Crew member, a new Challenge Crew member and a new ‘Fetti Friend (guest designer).

. . . . .

First, I would like to take a moment to say thank you to Joni Andaya for being part of the Confetti Crew design team.  Due to personal reasons, she has sadly had to step down from her commitments to Reverse Confetti.  We wish her and her family nothing but the best.

Being that a spot was open on the Confetti Crew design team, we invited a huge ‘Fetti Fan and very talented designer.  Please welcome…

AMYTIntro

A little about Amy in her own words…

I have been a Reverse Confetti fan from the beginning and I’m so very thrilled to be part of the awesome Confetti Crew!   I started blogging in 2007, I love it all and wish there were more hours in the day. I’m a momma to 2 kids, my son is in his senior year of high school and my girl is in her 2nd year at the University of Washington. I’m engaged to Darin who is crafty too…he’s building an airplane so needless to say, when I order crafty stuff it pales in comparison to his airplane parts receipts. I have met so many fabulous people in this wonderful paper crafting community and can’t imagine what my life would be like if I hadn’t started my blog, Tsuruta Designs.

If you have followed Amy for any amount of time, you know that she is a big fan of coffee.  The Be a Barista set is right up her alley and I love how she used it with the Envie Wrap Confetti Cuts die…

. . . . .

Our next introduction is for the “rotating” spot on the Challenge Crew team.  Please welcome a previous ‘Fetti Friend and the perfect fit to the Challenge Crew…

TaraGIntro

A little about Tara in her own words…

Hi, I’m Tara (Tar-ah). I live in Ontario, Canada about a 45 minute drive from Toronto. I’m married to a great guy, Chris and we have two awesome kids, Hannah and Kieran and two cute cats, Liam and Kato! I work full-time outside the home as an American Sign Language/English interpreter for a large non-profit organization. I started out scrapbooking shortly after my son was born…about 13 years ago. Several years later I stumbled across cute stamped images that could be coloured  with Copic markers…I was totally hooked!!! Soon after that, I started a blog, Inking on the Edge, and became involved in the on-line paper-crafting community and I’ve been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to design and or teach for several local scrapbooking stores, popular stamp companies and challenge blogs! I LOVE the layered/embellished look usually with the addition of a “cute” stamped image. I spend all my free time getting inky, colouring up those cute stamped images with my Copics and die-cutting until my hearts content.

Tara used Rocky Raccoon, Love Note Confetti Cuts, Circles ‘n Scallops Confetti Cuts and Tag Me Confetti Cuts on this darling card using this month’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY

. . . . .

Last, but most certainly not least, I’d like to introduce you to our January/February ‘Fetti Friend.  Please welcome…

WendySAIntro

A little about Wendy in her own words…

Hello!  My name is Wendy Sue Anderson and I am so excited to be joining the talented crew here at Reverse Confetti!  I live in a little mountain valley in Utah – and I love scrapbooking and paper crafting. J  I have been married to my sweet husband, Brad, for 21 years and we have four amazing kiddos – one daughter, Meagan, and three sons, Josh, Seth, and Zach.  I have been very fortunate to be involved in the scrapbook industry for about 15 years and I have loved every minute of it.  I spend lots of late nights working at my craft table – and even though I lose oodles of sleep, it’s totally worth it and I wouldn’t want to give it up! I am looking forward sharing my projects using the fun & fresh products created by Reverse Confetti!  I’d love to invite you to stop by my blog, just me…and my little world, for a visit!

. . . . .

How’s that for some serious talent!?!  I’m sure you are just as excited as I am for what they will be creating with the new release that is just days away!  Join us for the sneak peeks that start on Tuesday!

WEEK IN REVERSE

By admin
on November 21, 2014

Happy Friday, ‘Fetti Fans!

TGIF…really!  I thought it was Thursday on Wednesday, so imagine my surprise (and slight disappointment) when I came to realize that I was a day ahead of myself!  I even got on my daughter’s case for not having her weekly homework done for Friday.  Oops!  No wonder she was looking at me like I had two heads.  I’m going to go ahead and say that this is probably not the first or last time that she will think that I am crazy (or that I will make a parenting mistake, for that matter).

It’s hard to believe that just a week from now Thanksgiving will be over and the mad rush to Christmas will have begun (I’m guessing it already has for some).   For those that are traveling, I wish you safe travels and that everyone enjoys a safe and happy holiday (or regular day of the week for those not in the US).  Next week, there will be minimal blogging by the Confetti Crew, as I have asked them to spend time in front of their families instead of their computers.  We’ll have a few posts here on the Reverse Confetti blog.  Stay tuned for a fun announcement!

. . . . .

Well, it’s Friday and you know what that means!…

Let’s take a peek back at what some of the most talented gals on the planet (in my humble opinion) have been up to this week.

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and Merry Halloween Eve…or as I’ve seen it called Elsaween.  Just how many Elsa costumes will we be seeing tomorrow?  I’m glad that my kids did not go the Frozen  route (I’m Frozened out!) and will be dressing up as a pirate and a vampire.  Yes, my 4 year old is going to be a vampire…”with bloooood,” as he says.  Needless to say, it should be interesting.  Let’s see if I can remember to take pictures!

. . . . .

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from an ANYTHING BUT A CARD project from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such on Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will answer the same set of questions/show a tip until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Today on Confetti Camera we have the very kindhearted and over the top talented, AMY SHEFFER

AmySIntroPic

. . . . .

Hi everyone, Amy here today for this week’s Confetti Camera installment. Today, I’ve created a gift for a very dear friend who is undergoing chemo treatments for breast cancer. She is nearing the end of her eighteen treatments, and I thought I’d give her a way to count down the very last of these treatments and get to the finish line.

The outer packaging is a matchbook-style wrap, with the bound side held together with a binder clip.

chemocountdown1

For the front label, I used the ENVIE WRAP Confetti Cuts die, topped with a circle from CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts. The sentiment is made up of the word “count” from COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, plus the word “chemo” and “down,” which were done by combining individual letters in the same font from a whole bunch of different sets. I added in some die-cuts for extra design elements: DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts, PRETTY PANELS: TRIANGLES Confetti Cuts , and BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts.

chemocountdown3

On the inside are three tiny paper gift sacks, one for each chemo treatment that’s left. The outsides of the each bag are numbered, and the inside has a motivational tag (plus a Ghirardelli chocolate square).

chemocountdown2

The #3 bag features the PRETTY PANELS: DIAGONAL STRIPE Confetti Cuts , ARROW Confetti Cuts and LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts. The tag inside has a motivational sentiment from ALL ABOUT YOU.

The #2 bag features the PRETTY PANELS: CHEVRON Confetti Cuts and TAG ME Confetti Cuts. The sentiment on the inside tag was cut on my Silhouette.

The #1 bag features the PRETTY PANELS: TRIANGLES Confetti Cuts , OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts, and TAG ME Confetti Cuts. The tag inside uses the PRETTY PANELS: TRIANGLES Confetti Cuts again, as well as a sentiment from WINNING and a star accent from OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts.

One last view, from the side:

chemocountdown4

This same idea could easily be repurposed for any type of countdown, or simply used as a mini-album for photos, a collection of favorite quotes, funny kid sayings, even a collection of gift cards for a teacher or coach.

WEEK IN REVERSE

By admin
on October 17, 2014

TGIF!

Ever have on of those weeks?  Yep, it’s been one of those.  I realized yesterday that I haven’t had a chance to create anything and today, I am setting aside some time to do just that.  I have a feeling my perspective on things might just be a little sunnier after that happens (and during, too).  What have you been up to creatively this week?  Have you had a chance to play along in this month’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY?  If not, check it out HERE and play along for a fun chance to win.

. . . . .

Being that it is Friday, it is time for our WEEK IN REVERSE where we take a peek back at what the Confetti Crew has been up to lately.

NEW RELEASE HOP

By admin
on October 08, 2014

Hello and THANK YOU for such a wonderful response to our October Special Mini Release!  I’ve received so many sweet comments and emails! Love you guys!

NowAvailable

Since our prize schedule change a little with this special mini release, here’s a reminder of times, etc…

ReadyForConfetti

All of the new release are available in the store now.

To celebrate the new release, the Confetti Crew has put together a fabulous hop with a ton of “Confetti Creativity” using the new stamps and Confetti Cuts dies.

Note, there is a full list of hoppers at the bottom of this post in case there are any breaks along the way.

. . . . .

I have A LOT to share with you today!

My first project for you today is a fun project that was very inexpensive to put together and the colors can be switched to accommodate any special occasion or holiday!

BirthdayCup

I started with a empty clear cup and lid that I snagged from my local deli and then added the front panel that is create with the ENVIE WRAP Confetti Cuts die, ROUNDABOUT ADDITIONS stamp set, CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts and stars from the OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die set.

To get this shape from the ENVIE WRAP Confetti Cuts die, I trimmed it at the perforation mark and then rounded the corners.  Easy Peasy!

I filled the cup with Jolly Rancher candies, put the lid on and tied a ribbon on top.

TIP: Secure your ribbon on the bottom of the cup with a little bit of double sided tape.

Finally, I added dangles created from the HB2U sentiment from the ROUNDABOUT ADDITIONS stamp set stamped on CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die cuts, along with some addition stars that I cut our from the OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die set.  I topped the stars off with sequins and enamel dots.

Detail shot…

. . . . .

This next project also features the new ENVIE WRAP Confetti Cuts die (in a more “traditional” way) along with the new ROUNDABOUT ADDITIONS stamp set…

SpecialDeliveryEnvie

This is a baby boy inspired envelope.  I love this color combination (gray, navy and orange) and this was so fun and easy to create!  Again, switch up the colors to accommodate your special occasion or holiday.

Here’s the flip side to write a to and/or from…

SpecialDelivery_Back

. . . . .

As promised yesterday, I’m back in Halloween mode!  (EEK…I still need to get my decorations up at home).

This project features the new HANGING OUT Confetti Cuts die that creates a door hanger…

HangingOutPocket

It was very easy to create this pocket door hanger (holding 2 snack size Hershey bars).

To create the base:

Cut a sheet of cardstock to 4.25″ x 11″

Score at 3.5″ x 3.27″ (these create the folds for the pocket)

I layered the top portion of my hanger with pattern paper.  To do this, you can cut both the pattern paper and the cardstock at the same time (you may have to run it back and forth a few times).  Or you can run them through separately.  If you choose to do them separately, mark lightly on the second sheet with pencil where to cut to insure that you get the pieces lined up.

A few detail shots…

HangingOutPocket_HangDetail

The sentiment is from the September release set, CAST A SPELL.  To embellish, I cut the witch hat from the CAST A SPELL Confetti Cuts set from black felt and added a star from the OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die set.  I then added a purple heart button tied off with linen thread.

HangingOutPocket2

It’s a chocolate pocket!

HangingOutPocket_Detail1

. . . . .

Yes, I still have MORE to show you using this fabulously fun Confetti Cuts die!  Just one more project.  Here’s a fun lil’ Halloween themed giftie (again, switch up the theme/colors to create your unique hanger for any occasion)…

HangingOutDC

Instead of putting the hanger facing to the side, I did it on the top of this sheet of cardstock.  The perforated line was created using OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts…

HangingOutDC2

Detail of witch and sentiment from CAST A SPELL (cut with coordinating CAST A SPELL Confetti Cuts), along with the rounded tag panel (turned upside down) from TAGGED TOTE Confetti Cuts…

Roundabout

Around and around we go! Have fun with these great versatile circle sentiments made to coordinate with the ENVIE WRAP Confetti Cuts die and the CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set (both large and small non-scallop circles). In addition, the dashed lines create the return address portion on the ENVIE WRAP Confetti Cuts, die. Also included in this set are 4 circles so that you can create your own bokeh effect project, or just use them as the polka dots (my favorite!).

 Set of 9 stamps

SIZE REFERENCE:

Large Circle 2.05”

Reverse Confetti stamps are high quality photopolymer mounted on an acetate sheet.

4”x6” stamp set

Roundabout Additions

Around and around we go…some more! Have fun with these everyday (including holidays!) circle sentiments made to coordinate with the ENVIE WRAP Confetti Cuts die and the CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set (both large and small non-scallop circles). In addition, the lines create the return address portion on the ENVIE WRAP Confetti Cuts, die.

Set of 6 stamps

SIZE REFERENCE:

Large Circle 2.05”

4”x6” stamp set

CONFETTI CUTS: Envie Wrap

We all know how to make a cute card, but now you can make a cute (and coordinating) envelope with the ENVIE WRAP. Simply cut from cardstock or pattern paper and add your sentiment/address label from the ROUNDABOUT and ROUNDABOUT ADDITIONS stamp sets to create one of a kind, jaw dropping envelopes. Just imagine your Christmas or birthday cards arriving and standing out against all the others! This die includes detailed debossing, a perforated line to easily crease over your envelopes and the center circle is the same size as the large non-scallop circle in the CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set

SIZE REFERENCE:

Envie Wrap 5.76” x 2.4”

CONFETTI CUTS: Hanging Out

The Hanging Out die creates a cut out to create a door hanger. Imagine leaving a festive door hanger on your neighbor’s door or creating one for yourself. You know that the kids will love them for themselves, their friends and teachers! Create fun one-of-a-kind door hangers easily using the Hanging Out Confetti Cuts die.

While you can use this on any size cardstock, note that best results for centering the cut out hole are done using a 4.25” width sheet of cardstock.

SIZE REFERENCE:

Hanging Out 3.1” x 2”
