TGIF ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s been an amazing week here at the Reverse Confetti offices and I hope it has been for you, too!  We’re kicking off the weekend with the new Minion movie and hopefully getting some time by the pool, too…especially since our last couple of poolside attempts have gone up in flames.   I’m getting to that point that I am looking forward to the new school year starting…anyone else with me on this one?

. . . . .

It’s been a few Fridays since our last WEEK IN REVERSE, but we are back with it today.  Check out what the (amazing!) Confetti Crew has been up to this week…

Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s time for a special TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!  You may recall, over the summer Confetti Crew member, Heather, made this card…

I just adore this clever card!  So much so that I asked if she would be willing to make a Christmas/wreath card using the same concept to showcase the versatility of this Confetti Cuts die set.  Well she did, and I am so excited that Heather is here sharing it with you today!

. . . . .

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here with a festive take on a card I created using  Fresh ‘n Fruity Confetti Cuts.  A few months ago, I created the card above using the lemon and orange dies to create a flower, and paired it with one of the lovely sentiments from Fabulous Flamingo.  I love using dies in unexpected ways, it’s a great way to stretch your stash!

To create my wreath, I used the following Confetti Cuts dies:

Fresh ‘n Fruity

Donut You Know

Circles ‘n Scallops

Branch Out

Tagged Tote

Here’s how:  I started with a piece of light green card stock, and layered together the circle die from the  Donut You Know Confetti Cuts with the largest circle die from the Circles ‘n Scallops Confetti Cuts.  Once run through my machine, this game me a thin, hollow circle to use a guide for my leaf placement.  I die cut 10 green lemons using the Fresh ‘n Fruity Confetti Cuts, and adhered 5 of them (evenly spaced) to the top of the hollow circle.

I then used my bone folder to score a line down the center of the remaining die cuts, and adhered them to the hollow circle (using pop dots) between the first set of die cuts.  So easy!

Next, I used the Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts to die cut some vellum, and adhered the strips to a medium gray card base.  I then stamped one of the sentiments from Seasonal Sentiments in Versamark ink onto a piece of aqua card stock before heat embossing with white powder.  I then adhered the sentiment to the card base with pop dots.

Once I figured out how much of the wreath I wanted to display on my card, I used my guillotine paper trimmer to cut off the excess.  I then adhered the wreath to the card front with pop dots.  To decorate the wreath, I used the bare tree from the Branch Out Confetti Cuts on silver glitter paper, and secured them to the petals leaves with Tombo multi-glue.  I die cut a pink bow from the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts, adhered it to the wreath with pop dots, and covered it with Stickles.  To finish up, I embellished with white enamel dots.

Howdy there, ‘Fetti Fans!

Anyone else excited about this weekend?  You probably already know, but in case you didn’t…Saturday is WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!  We have a very special announcement to make on Saturday, so stay tuned you won’t want to miss it!

It’s Thursday and time for a great Confetti Camera where you will learn how to make an adorably scary tote!

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from a fun tip or technique from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such on Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will answer the same set of questions/show a tip until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

3) For this round we are focusing on ABC (anything but a card) projects.  Keep your eyes peeled for some fabulous ways to use your Reverse Confetti stamps!

. . . . .

Today on Confetti Camera we have the super fun and wildly talented, HEATHER PULVIRENTI

Hi ‘Fetti Fans! Heather P. here today to share a frightfully fun Frankenstein treat tote I created entirely from Confetti Cuts! I had such a blast putting together the pink monster for September’s Color Challenge, and wanted to see what else I could come up with.  With the great range of Reverse Confetti die shapes, the possibilities are endless!

To create the tote, I used the following Confetti Cuts to cut out my pieces:

Tagged Tote (tote base and eyes)

Treat Tote (Frank’s hair)

Office Edges (scars/stitches)

Fresh ‘n Fruity (larger eye)

Circles ‘n Scallops (smaller eye)

Carton Cuties (nose)

Let’s Chill (glitter neck bolts)

Doin’ the Wave (smile)

Once I had all the elements ready to go, assembly was a breeze! First, I started by adhering the sides and bottom of the Tagged Tote, then attaching the black card stock for Frankenstein’s hair.  Next, I adhered the smaller white card stock circle directly on the tote base, then added the larger white card stock circle with pop dots before adding in the nose piece.

I then adhered the two black scars (wrapping around the edges of the tote), and the red, squiggly mouth.  An exacto knife was used to cut a slit on each side of the tote to hold the glitter card stock neck bolts.  Glossy accents were then added to the gray card stock pupils, two black scars and red mouth.

 100214 CU

While the glossy accents were drying, I die cut a tag using the Give Thanks Confetti Cuts frame on a piece of turquoise polka dot patterned paper. I then stamped one of the sentiments from Spooky Sentiments in versamark ink before heat embossing it with white embossing powder.  I punched a hole in the top of the tag, then secured it to a cellophane treat bag with orange twine and a yellow clothespin.  To finish up, I placed the treat into the tote.

Well, that wraps it up for me today, but be sure to come back tomorrow for more Reverse Confetti inspiration!

Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

Today I have a super fun WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS post for you!  Reverse Confetti is the sponsor for the new sketch over on StampNation…how fun is that?!?

Catherine (of CatherinePooler.com/StampNation) and I have collaborated on a few things in the past, but I have to admit that has been by favorite so far!

The sketch is posted over on the Stamp Nation site and here’s my take on it using CAST A SPELL, CAST A SPELL Confetti Cuts, TAG ME Confetti Cuts, OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts and CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts…

Today, you’ll see cards from not only the Confetti Crew, but also from the talented StampNation Design Team HERE.

Not a member yet?  Today’s the last day for the $1 trial (sweet!).  You can get that HEREIt’s a wonderful community of stampers and there is always something new and fun to learn and see!

Detail shot of the witchy hat embellished with a star from OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts…

. . . . .

Catherine is also up today here on the Reverse Confetti blog with her take on the sketch with some of your favorite Reverse Confetti products!  I told you today was special and fun!

First, a note from Catherine herself…

Thank you so much to Jen for having me as a guest designer today and for hosting the challenge at StampNation this week! We have been blown away at the creativity from both Design Teams, but I really shouldn’t have been too surprised! When you are using RC stamps, great things happen! I got to play with Fresh & Fruity and have made FOUR cards with the set. The oranges on this card were Rock and Rolled to create depth and dimension and I couldn’t resist adding Frosted Lace Stickles to the oranges…now they are almost good enough to eat! I hope you enjoy the video – be sure to watch until the end for a little surprise. Check out my blog tomorrow, too for another fun card with this set and an out-of-the-box way to use it.

. . . . .

I’ve said it before, and I will say it again…I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!  Not the dressing up part, so much, but all the decor and projects that are all about Halloween!  I know most people love Christmas the most, but for me it’s Halloween, then Valentine’s Day and then Christmas.  Being that it’s (just about) fall, it is time to get started all those fun Halloween and Thanksgiving projects!

So, without further adieu let me introduce you to our Halloween stamp set and its coordinating Confetti Cuts die set…

As you can imagine, I have been very busy creating with this set!

This card features the CAST A SPELL stamps and Confetti Cuts, as well as the (previously released) OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts and CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts…

I added Diamond Glaze on the potion she’s stirring up and Stickles to the fire for some great dimension and detail…

 . . . . .

My next card features the CAST A SPELL stamps and Confetti Cuts, as well as the new PRETTY PANELS: STARS Confetti Cuts, SO MANY STARS stamp set and the (previously released) DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER and OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die sets…

Detail shot of all the stars (OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts, PRETTY PANELS: STARS Confetti Cuts and SO MANY STARS stamp set) along with the witch hat from the CAST A SPELL Confetti Cuts die set)…

The PRETTY PANELS: STARS panel is backed with a gray piece of cardstock cut from the rounded rectangle from the CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts die set (these are made to coordinate together).

Love the shape of that sentiment panel?  It’s one of the new dies in the GIVE THANKS LABEL Confetti Cuts die set (more below)…

. . . . .

Crisp cool air, fall festivals, family gatherings…all things to be thankful for.

Introducing GIVE THANKS and the coordinating Confetti Cuts die set…

The GIVE THANKS Confetti Cuts die set contains two label dies.  The larger die coordinates with the label image in the GIVE THANKS stamp set.  The smaller label is to use with other sentiments or as a layer on your cards, scrapbooks or other paper crafting projects.

I paired this set with the new TAGGED TOTE Confetti Cuts to create a fun giftie that’s perfect for a hostess, friend, teacher, family member (ok, well anyone, really!)…

I created my own embellishment by taking the apple (yes, the apple) from our CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts die set and flipping it upside down to create a pumpkin.  This was an idea I got from Confetti Crew member, Leigh Penner.  I tell ya, she is CLEVER!  I cut leaves from felt with the leaf swag die from the PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts die set.  The finishing touch is a button with twine and tulle that I popped on top of the pumpkin.

This is just part of the gift set that I created!

I also made a shadow box with the GIVE THANKS LABEL Confetti Cuts die and GIVE THANKS stamp set…

To create this 3D pumpkin, I cut 5 of the large GIVE THANKS LABEL Confetti Cuts, folded them in half (crease with a bone folder) and adhered them together.  I topped off with leaves from FRESH ‘N FRUITY Confetti Cuts and a button tied up with linen thread…

There is so much more inspiration to see using these stamps and dies that are releasing on September 8th!

Check out the Confetti Crew & Friends’ posts.

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win!
