Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

The September release is just around the corner!  The sneak peeks for the September 8th release have officially begun, or as we like to call them: the COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI!  For the next four days we will be sharing a bunch of inspiration featuring our FIVE new stamp stamps and SIX new CONFETTI CUTS.    This release is filled with fresh and fabulous goodies to kick start fall!

Just a note…all of our releases will happen on the 8th of the month…just not every month.  We will release new product every other month.  We’ll still be hopping on the 8th, whether there is a release or not.  Just remember, “Eight is Great!”

. . . . .

Don’t forget to leave a comment here and on each sneak peek post this week for a chance to win!

In addition to having a chance to win just by leaving a comment on the sneak peek posts, we are also running a Facebook promotion (starting at 9am EST today).  After you are done checking out the sneak peeks, head on over to OUR FACEBOOK PAGE and look for this graphic pinned to the top of our feed…

On Facebook, simply leave a comment under the graphic.  One person that comments on the graphic by 1pm EST on September 7th will be randomly chosen to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.  Winners for both the blog comments and Facebook comments will be announced here on the Reverse Confetti blog as well as on Facebook.

. . . . .

You know the drill…grab that cuppa joe, sit back and enjoy some seriously great inspiration that the Confetti Crew has come up with to kick off this month’s sneak peeks!

These funny lil’ creatures make me and my children smile as they race across our fence, steal food from the bird feeders and make our dogs go, well…NUTS!

Introducing the latest addition to the QUIRKY CUTIES line, SAMMY SQUIRREL

Sammy is a lot of fun to color and paper piece!   As I have mentioned before, even if you are not a colorista these QUIRKY CUTIES images are a lot of fun to play with!

Sammy takes center stage on this birthday card, where I colored him in brown with my Copics.  I colored and cut a couple of the acorns for fun element to add to this card…

Here he does a color change into some gray tones…

Detail shot…

The scallop edge detail on this card is from the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die (previously released).

. . . . .

In addition to Sammy, I have a couple of more fabulous new Reverse Confetti products to introduce you to!

I know you love packaging just as much as I do, so I am thrilled to introduce the TREAT TOTE Confetti Cuts die set…

To use this Confetti Cuts die, you cut 2 along with the rectangular base and assemble.

This Confetti Cuts die set also come with the word “Treats” that you can use on all your sweet gifties.

This sweet lil’ tote will fit snack size goodies, like M&M’s, perfectly.  I actually went out and bought a bag of the snack size treats when I was designing this!

***Please Note: I will have an  assembly (photo) tutorial tomorrow, along with a sneak peek of the other tote that is part of this release (which you may just see on a few of the Confetti Crew members’ sneak peeks today)***

Confetti Crew member, Sarah, has created a great assembly video:

My Halloween inspired TREAT TOTE

Also featured on this Treat Tote is the our new background set which is perfect for everyday use and all the holidays that are coming up quickly.

Introducing SO MANY STARS

I stamped the stars in white pigment ink on the green paper behind the “TREATS” panel.

I complemented the star background with OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts (previously released) and some color coordinated enamel dots…

I just adore the big pinked edge on this tote!  I cut pieces of tissue paper out with the die so that I could have pinked tissue paper to coordinate with the tote itself…

As a finishing touch, I created a handle with 2 pieces of jute.

. . . . .

There is so much more inspiration to see using these stamps and dies that are releasing on September 8th!

Check out the Confetti Crew & Friends’ posts.

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win!

Treat Tote Confetti Cuts

Pretty packaging makes a treat or gift extra special. Simply cut TWO of this tote die and add the bottom piece to create a fabulously fun package (that fits a couple of snack size Treats like M&Ms perfectly). Included with this die set is the word TREATS that can be added to the front of the tote or to any of your other projects. Use the pinked edge panel for a fun detailed panel on cards, scrapbook pages or any other paper crafting project.

Set of 3 wafer thin dies

NOTE: Many of our die sets are connected by thin wire and may need to be released from each other. To do so, tin snips are best, but these can often easily be taken apart by a gentle hand. Rough edges where the dies were attached may be sanded lightly (careful not to sand the cutting edge).

Happy Tuesday ‘Fetti Fans!

For those of you that had a long weekend, I hope you enjoyed yourself and found time to get inky and crafty!  On Friday, I got a call from each of my kiddos’ school nurses calling me to get them because they weren’t feeling well.  I made the call to go ahead and go to the doc and I am glad I did.  They spent most of the weekend on the couch, resting and recuperating.  My hubby played Mr. Mom/Nurse (thank goodness!) while I got a bit crafty.  I think I finished something like 10 projects and I can’t wait to share them with you later this week!

On Friday we start our sneak peeks and on Saturday, I will be at CKC San Marcos doing some Reverse Confetti demos and make ‘n takes.  Will I see you there?

. . . . .

I had fun playing along with this month’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY…

Want to play along or want to see more inspiration using this fun sketch?  Click HERE!

Here’s my take on the sketch…

If you have followed me for any amount of time, you may know that I just LOVE making stuff and decorating for Halloween.  I have a little trouble making stuff for the fall holiday in the middle of summer, but as soon as that calendar inches towards September 1st, I am full steam ahead!

For this card, I used the SPOOKY CUTIES and SPOOKY SENTIMENTS stamp sets along with the CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts.  I just love these lil’ ghosties!

I heat embossed the fence image for added detail and texture…

The rectangular panels going across the card base are layered with card stock and black and gold washi for a fun element…

But, before we can get to the excitement of our new release (that is chock full of a bunch of new stamps and Confetti Cuts) we have a new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY (SFYTT) today…

The Confetti Crew has whipped up some fabulous inspiration, but let’s go over the details of this challenge first…

Hello and Happy Friday!

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween!  Here at Reverse Confetti it was spent working on a lot of behind the scenes stuff and prepping for next week.  Of course, I stepped out of the office to enjoy the evening with the kiddos on their mission to induce a sugar coma.  Here are my very own sweets as Vanellope von Schweetz (from the Wreck it Ralph movie) and Spiderman (with unofficial head gear).

Happy Fall, my friends!

. . . . .

Yesterday, you got to meet some AWESOME new additions to the Confetti Crew!  Today, they will be sharing their creations using the November SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY (see pic links below)…

This is a really fun sketch with a lot of possibilities for placement of images and sentiments.  I know that you will have fun playing with it and making it your own.

Here’s my SFYTT card using FOREVER FALL (now back in stock) and WHOLE LOTTA DOTS

I stamped the overlapping circles from WHOLE LOTTA DOTS in Delicata Golden Glitz Pigment Ink (love this stuff!).  The two lighter colored pumpkins (FOREVER FALL) are also stamped in gold, making this fairly clean and simple card really shimmer and sparkle in the light.

I’ve mentioned a few times that there are a few things that we are tweaking and kicking up a notch.  I’ve tweaked a few of the SFYTT details, to be sure to read through them carefully and don’t forget that EVERYONE is invited to play along now no matter what stamps you are using!

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 14th. The sketch will be posted in the sidebar and you will be able to click on it to get to that month’s SFYTT post with the link list during this time.

We originally stated that you must play with Reverse Confetti stamps to win; however, we are allowing “anything goes” until the end of the year. Note, that we will be adding this requirement in January.

You may enter as many times as you wish.

There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 15th of each month.

. . . . .

And, as promised, here is some further divine inspiration from these amazingly talented ladies on the Confetti Crew…

PS…you may just be getting a super sneak peek at next week’s release, too!

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Tuesday!

I hope everyone has started their week off right!  I was just dying to get into the studio all day yesterday, but that just didn’t happen.  I have so many ideas swirling in my head for the upcoming NOVEMBER 8th release and I just can’t find the time to get them all done…at least at the moment.  I’ll be carving out some dedicated craft time a little later this week and I hope to be unstoppable (i.e.-no craft fails!)

We’ll be filling your cup (and more) with a whole lot of merry!  And, yes, that was a hint to what’s coming up!

. . . . .

Being that it’s Tuesday it’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!  Since we are just a few short days away from Halloween, I had to make just one more Halloween card and I think that this one may just be my favorite one of all using SPOOKY CUTIES, SPOOKY SENTIMENTS and the banner/cone from CELEBRATE CAKE

I had pulled out CELEBRATE CAKE to do a birthday card, but I still had some Halloween papers left on my desk from a previous project and I had a little “light bulb” moment and created this Halloween colored banner to go along with the sentiment from SPOOKY SENTIMENTS and the montage of Halloween images from SPOOKY CUTIES that I grounded with a small green flag-ended strip to make the green stem and green bubbly potion (embellished with some Diamond Stickles) in the cauldron pop.

Detail of the “cuties”…

Stay tuned tomorrow for the announcement of the October ‘Fetti Fave! A little birdie told me that her stamps may already be on their way, too!

Hello and Happy Monday, ‘Fetti Fans!

Yes, you read the title of the post correctly.  This will be the last weekly link list.  “Why?”, you ask.  Well, there are several reasons and I must say that I did not arrive at the decision to discontinue it lightly.  I didn’t love how it was working (on many levels) and I felt that there was something else that we could be doing to involve our customers in a fun and engaging way.  We will continue the SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY (posted on 1st of each month) and in November we will be adding a COLOR CHALLENGE which will be posted on the 16th of each month.  While the first one is still a few weeks away, I did want to keep you in the loop on what is happening here and provide an answer to why we have chosen to discontinue the weekly link list.  The winners of the SFYTT and COLOR CHALLENGES will be the new ‘Fetti Faves!  Look for more details on that in the SFYTT and COLOR CHALLENGE posts in November.

That is just the first of several announcements about how we are making REVERSE CONFETTI better.  Stay tuned for more…I promise you’re gonna love everything we have up our sleeves!

. . . . .

Thank you to everyone who has played along with the weekly link lists.  Not only this week, but every week, I am blown away by your creativity and am so thankful to have such wonderful customers and ‘Fetti Fans. THANK YOU!!

Without any further adieu, let me announce this week’s ‘FETTI FINDS…

The ‘Fetti Finds from last week’s link list are Sheri Gilson and Rosemary Dennis

Sheri and Rosemary, grab your badge!

Sheri’s card using SPOOKY SENTIMENTS is the perfect combination of spooky and cute!

Rosemary’s card using FOREVER FALL is clean and simple perfection!

We want to see your Reverse Confetti creations!  Post them here for a chance to win FREE STAMPS!

Each Monday we’ll be posting (although, as mentioned above, this is the last one):

  • The ‘FETTI FINDS from the previous week’s link list.
  • A new link list at the bottom of the ‘Fetti Find post.  It will remain open through Saturday of that week.

<– FIND IT FAST: You’ll be able to find the current ‘Fetti Find post quickly by clicking on the button on the sidebar.

The last day of the month:

  • The ‘FETTI FAVE will be announced here on the Reverse Confetti blog.  This will be one of the ‘Fetti Finds from that month and they will be chosen based on their project and creative use of REVERSE CONFETTI stamps.  The ‘FETTI FAVE will receive the ENTIRE NEXT STAMP RELEASE and be invited to play along with the Confetti Crew for sneak peek days and the new release hop.

Just a couple of rules…

  • Anything goes, as long as Reverse Confetti stamps are the only stamps used OR are the main focal point of the project.
  • No limit to the number of projects linked, but they must be posted to your blog or gallery that same week (no linking older projects).

TGIF, my friends!

It was a short week here, as the kiddos were off for Columbus Day, but I have to say that I am glad that the weekend is upon us!  Other than getting a flu shot, the weekend looks bright and cheery!  I’m hoping to get in some serious craft time in preparation for the next Reverse Confetti release (November 8th!).  There are a lot of awesome things coming soon.  Stay tuned, as next week I will be making a few different announcements that you won’t wanna miss!

. . . . .

It’s time now to take a peek back at what the Confetti Crew came up with this week in our WEEK IN REVERSE.

You never know how or when inspiration will strike.  Brilliance hit Val at 3:43 in the morning the other day and she created this darling Halloween treat container using an up-cycled pill container.

Lisa was also in the Halloween spirit!  I love this clean and simple square card with the perfect touches of bling.

Savannah, too, followed suit in the spirit of the upcoming holiday with this oh-so-stinkin’-clever card.

Amy Sheffer was super clever, as well, with this not so spooky, but oh-so-cute card.

Dawn perfectly paired this color combo with our stamps to create a wonderfully cheerful and sweet thank you card.

Finally, I want to leave you with a smile, which is just what this card from Heather will do!

Hello from freezing cold Texas.   And, by freezing I mean 50-something degrees.  Yes, I admit it…I am a cold weather wuss!  Don’t get me wrong, I love sweater weather and a good cup of hot cocoa (or salted caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks), but I’m still in flip flop mode and am not quite ready for this!  I can’t imagine that designing our SPRING (!) stamps right now has anything to do with that.  What do you think?

. . . . .

It’s Wednesday and time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS.

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS? It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  Today we’re focusing on SUBWAY ART STYLE, but a variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

subwayartpillow    WoodenInvite

Subway art has been very popular in home decor for the past couple of years and it has crossed over to graphic design (ads, printed invitations, etc.) and, of course, paper crafting.  I love this trend, and when I sat down to design our first subway art style stamp set (SPOOKY SENTIMENTS), I knew that it needed to be versatile.  Not only in the fact that you can use the different sentiments easily on a variety of projects, but also that there is versatility in all the different possible combinations.  In addition, I created the coordinating image set, SPOOKY CUTIES, so that it would “stack” nicely with the sentiments.

Here’s a card I made using a combination of sentiments from SPOOKY SENTIMENTS, along with pumpkins from SPOOKY CUTIES and FOREVER FALL.

Here’s a few tips to create a subway art panel using the SPOOKY SENTIMENTS set:

1. Choose a color palette that coordinates with the sentiments.  I chose a very basic color palette: black ink on white paper, but you could use a variety of colors like the pillow above.

TIP: To create variety and visual interest, add a strip(s) of paper in a different color(s).  I did this with the purple flag-ended “got candy” strip

2. Vary long and tall sentiments.  These sets are designed so that 2 tall sentiments will fit across the span of one long sentiment.

3. Add images in place of sentiments to break up all the lettering.  Here I used the pumpkins in place of a tall sentiment.  Note that both the shape and color break up the space, but still coordinate with the overall theme of the subway art panel.

4. Use lines or other elements to divide words.  In the SPOOKY SENTIMENTS set, there is a line of diagonal lines (used on this card), but you can also use dots (I LIKE YOU has a strip that would be perfect for subway art) or symbols (lots in the LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS set).

In the end, there is no true right way to do subway style.  Have fun with it and don’t be afraid to mix it up a little!

Hello and welcome to the October Blog Hop!

This is the start of the hop.

There is a full list of hoppers toward the end of this post in case you get lost along the way.

As the graphic above suggests, there is a TON of AWESOME inspiration from not only the best design team anyone could ask for, The Confetti Crew, but also from some very, very special guests, or as we like to call them ‘FETTI FRIENDS!

So, grab that cuppa joe, sit back, relax and click on through this amazingly fun blog hop!  Don’t forget to leave a comment on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.  Comments are open until Thursday, October 10th at 2pm CST, and the winner will be announced on the Week in Reverse post.

. . . . .

I love Halloween and I love creating treat containers, so I combined the two to create this duo for our October hop…

I cut these containers and rosettes from my Silhouette and then dressed them up with our SPOOKY CUTIES, SPOOKY SENTIMENTSand WHOLE LOTTA DOTS sets.  They were so fun and easy to create and will be a great sweet treat for a couple of my neighbors on Halloween.

The dots (from WHOLE LOTTA DOTS) were stamped and gold embossed.  I love the gold paired with the Halloween theme.  Can you tell from this picture that the ghost is spar-ka-lay, too?  I colored him lightly with my Copics and then added a little twinkle with a Sakura Stardust pen.

And, the cauldron with the oh-so-fun witch shoes…

I think these would be fun to use as party favors or even as part of a table setting.  Switch up the colors or theme and the possibilities are endless!
