Howdy and Happy weekend, ‘Fetti Fans! Today we are bringing you lots of inspiration with our monthly blog hop (always on the 8th…just remember “8 is great!”). This is the start of the hop and below is the hop order. As you will see, we have lots of Reverse Confetti inspiration from the Confetti Crew, as well as some friends that helped us launch just one month ago. So grab that cuppa joe and sit back, relax and enjoy the hop! Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the REVERSE CONFETTI shop!

Today, here in the del Muro house we are celebrating my daughter Ellie’s birthday (a little early) and the beginning of summer. We’re kicking off the first Saturday of summer vacation with a little party with some Reverse Confetti touches here and there. It’s a splash party, so I took the fish from the HAPPY HARBOR set and created some coordinating party ensemble pieces.
Since the party will be outside and be buffet style, I thought it would be nice to create plasticware set-ups that are easy to grab and go as you go down the line. I stamped the fish multiple times on plain ol’ copy paper, cut it into strips (they are 4.25″ long) and wrapped it around the napkin and plasticware. I really wanted to add some orange curling ribbon or baker’s twine, but I had to go with being more practical since the majority of the attendees are 7 years old…

I might be baking the cupcakes as you are reading this. I don’t like making them until the day of so that they are fresh from the oven. However, I did make the cupcake toppers ahead of time. I simply stamped the fish repeatedly on white cardstock, matted it and hot glued a pick to it. The starfish toppers were cut from the Silhouette. I’ll be sure to share a pic of these on top of the oh.so.fresh cupcakes next week…

Finally, I created favors and, again, incorporated this lil’ fish. The sentiment was printed on cardstock from the computer and adhered to a tag that was cut with my Silhouette. I added some sequins and rhinestones for a little added sparkle and tied the tag onto the favor box that is wrapped in pink polka dot cardstock…

What’s inside you ask? Since I am “allergic” to passing out plastic junk, but mostly to keep with the theme, I added goldfish, Swedish fish and aqua colored Sixlets (to look like “bubbles”)…

The bad part about all these bits and pieces…they will probably all end up in the trash! At least they’ll look cute until then! LOL!
