By Jen del Muro

Greetings ‘Fetti Fans and Happy (almost) 2016…

We are completing this year with one last Confetti Camera that is sure to inspire you to ring in 2016 in style!

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round each of our designers will be coming up with a SET of something. You’ll see gift sets, card sets, pocket scrapping sets and much more this time around.

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Amy here today with the latest installment in the Set ‘Em Up Confetti Camera series. The theme is to create a set of something. With it being New Year’s Eve, I thought a set of New Year’s shaker tags and mini champagne bottles would be fun and appropriate!

RCconfetticamera1215_1-1

The shaker tags were cut with the THANKS TAG Confetti Cuts from a crisp, white card stock, then filled with silver, gold, clear, and white sequins for a glamorous look.

RCconfetticamera1215_1-4

RCconfetticamera1215_1-3

The word “hello” was die-cut with the HELLO Confetti Cuts die out of black card stock. I stamped the year using the new ALPHABETICAL stamp set. The year is white embossed on vellum, then stitched onto the tag frame using gold metallic thread. I curled the loose thread ends for a festive look.

WINTER & HOLIDAY COFFEE LOVERS BLOG HOP

By Jen del Muro
on December 11, 2015

Hello ‘Fetti Fans…

We’re super excited to be a part of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop both as a participant and a sponsor!

The theme for this one is Winter/Holiday and everyone is invited to play along!  All of the details for the hop, prizes and how you can join in the fun can be found HERE.

I had a lot of fun creating a card for this hop!

DSC_0375

The base of the card is covered with kraft plaid paper (LOVEEE this stuff)!  I stitched around the edges to add a little bit of texture and I think it’s the perfect touch to this card.

DSC_0372

From there I layered 2 large wreaths cut from the WREATHS Confetti Cuts die set.  On top of wreath is a cup from the CAFFEINATED CUPS stamp set (cut with the coordinating Confetti Cuts die set).  I colored it in ombre red, just like the red cups currently found at Starbucks.

I cut the cup sleeve from kraft paper and ran it through my paper crimper so that it would resemble a real sleeve.  On top of that is the word “joy” cut from the WINTER WORDS Confetti Cuts.

For a finishing touch, I added gold hearts cut from the YOU ARE A STAR Confetti Cuts die set and topped them with gold sequins and gold rhinestones.

I cut the red banners are cut from both the larger and smaller fishtail dies, creating a frame to layer of the large green banners.  The letters fit perfectly inside…

WEEK IN REVERSE

By Jen del Muro
on December 04, 2015

Hello and Happy Friday, ‘Fetti Fans!

Do you have a fun weekend planned?  I’m really getting into the Christmas spirit this year and have the house decorated.  I look forward to putting up our trees this weekend.  We have a family tree with ornaments collected over the years and a pretty tree that I decorate all in red and gold for our entry.  I don’t think that the kids will argue too much when I tell them that we are going to make goodies, too!   Thankfully, most of my shopping is done.  I just have one more gift to get for one of the angels that we adopted.  This year we were able to adopt 4 angels.  I am grateful for the chance to be able to make another child’s Christmas a little brighter and to teach my kids about giving and not just getting.  One of our angels requested “arts and crafts items.”  I may have gone a little crazy with that one!

Here’s a look at one of the many decorations I put up this week (it’s from my hubby’s childhood)…

I’ve created a set of decorated FROSTED PILLOW BOXES today, this year Christmas is just the three of us, so I’ve made these in lieu of placecards. I intend to fill them with after dinner mints and a toy car for my little guy.

I’ve used the PARTY HATS Confetti Cuts to make Santa hats.

confettiCameraSarahGoughDec (2)

The believe sentiment from YOU ARE A STAR was perfect for the Santa theme!

To create a two tone sentiment flag, I cut the STITCHED FLAG TRIO Confetti Cuts, then adhered glitter washi to the lower half before stamping the names with the awesome ALPHABETICAL stamp set.

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By Jen del Muro
on December 02, 2015

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

It’s Wednesday and time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS exactly?…

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between. Today, Confetti Crew member, Amy Sheffer, shares a fun technique with wow factor!

AmySIntroPic

RC120215WITW1-1

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, Amy here today, with an easy masking technique that gives a fun “how’d she do that?” look.

RC120215WITW1-2

I’ve used the technique to stamp the ornament on today’s tag. The basic steps are to first die-cut a shape, then, using the negative of the die-cut as a mask, repeatedly stamp a sentiment (or small image) to fill the unmasked area.

RC120215WITW1-3

First, I die-cut a Gift Card Holder Tag in white card stock along with a second Gift Card Holder Tag from recycled copy paper (this will be the mask, you could also use masking paper). Within the copy paper die-cut, I’ve cut out a large circle using one the dies in the Circles ‘N Scallops die set.

RC120215WITW1-4

I used a bit of washi to adhere the copy paper tag mask to the card stock tag, then repeatedly stamped the word “Christmas” from Winter Word Coordinates in light grey ink. Before removing the mask, I used a sponge dauber to apply some soft gray shadowing around the outer part of the circle. Remove the mask to reveal your stamped and sponged ornament.

RC120215WITW1-5

I embellished the bottom of the tag with some black and white striped paper, adorned the ornament with some holly and felt berries (both from the Holly Confetti Cuts die set) as well as a “merry” die-cut (from Winter Words Confetti Cuts), then finished with a Hang Ups tag topper, some Honeydew twine, and some gold sequins.

In the spotlight today is the the super fun and talented, AMY ROHL…

AmyR

Hi! It’s Amy here with our current Confetti Camera theme – Set ‘Em Up!  I’d forgotten how much fun creating in sets can be until I sat down to make a set of gift card holders using a few of my favorite Reverse Confetti products.

amy1

The GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts is perfect for producing multiples of one design with just a few cranks of the handle, and the HOLLY Confetti Cuts allowed me to put a holiday spin on these tags, just in time for the holidays!

MY2

Once I’d decided on my design, I simply cut enough tags and holly for 3 more gift card holders since I knew that I needed 4 of these for the kitchen crew at school. I used the circle die from LAYERED SNOWFLAKE Confetti Cuts for the sparkly berry to keep things simple and moving right along. I also taped the tag die and gift card slit together in order to cut both pieces at once.

MY2

Thanks for stopping by for Confetti Camera. I hope you’ve been inspired to get a head start on your gift card giving this year!
