SFYTT13_Jun14

It’s Friday and time to take a peek back at what the Confetti Crew was up to this week for our WEEK IN REVERSE.

. . . . .

Amber made my jaw drop with these mixed media pages using PETALS ‘N POSIES stamps and PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts, as well as the COUNT YOUR RAINBOWS stamp set…

This is such a beautiful baby card from Sarah using LOTS TO SAY and PETALS ‘N POSIES stamps and PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts, as well as our DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die…

She also completed the inside using BEAUTIFUL BANNERS stamps and BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts…

Laurie created this darling card using the HERE WE GO stamp set and coordinating HERE WE GO Confetti Cuts, as well as the BEAUTIFUL BANNERS stamp set and BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts…

Let's Celebrate by Laurie Schmidlin

Leigh’s thank you card gift set is so sweet…

The packaging for this gift set was created with the SWEET TREAT TENT Confetti Cuts die and embellished with TAG ME Confetti Cuts dies stamped with a sentiment from the SWEET THING stamp set from our KEY WORDS COLLECTION.

Each of the cards in this set is so sweet!  You can see the full collection on her blog HERE.  This is just one of the several using LOTS TO SAY and WHOLE LOTTA HEARTS

I’m lovin’ Lisa’s super cute and clever shaker card featuring the WINNING stamp set along with the TAG ME and OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts…

This card from Amy rocked this month’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY with this fun and fabulous card using BEAUTIFUL BANNERS stamps and BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts as well as the large heart from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts set stamped with the small dots from WHOLE LOTTA DOTS

6.4.14

Kathy’s post for this card is titled “Feels Like Summer” and this bright and colorful card using LET’S CHILL stamps and LET’S CHILL Confetti Cuts just epitomizes that…

It’s amazing how two people can get such different (and totally wonderful!) projects from the same set!  Here’s Heather’s card that also uses the LET’S CHILL stamps and LET’S CHILL Confetti Cuts along with the DOIN’ THE WAVE Confetti Cuts…

Last, but not least, is this beauty from Amy using this month’s sketch along with BE A BARISTA

CONFETTI CAMERA

By admin
on June 05, 2014

Hello and Happy Thursday, ‘Fetti Fans!

Whew…it’s the last day of school here and we are set for summer vacation!  I have the calendar made, the crafty kids and science projects planned, VBS booked and the school stuff printed (and laminated).  Summer…bring it!

Of course, I have some fun Reverse Confetti stuff planned, too!

Well, it’s Thursday and time for another fabulous installment of Confetti Camera!

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from a fun tip or technique from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such on Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will answer the same set of questions/show a tip until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

3) For this round we are focusing on how Reverse Confetti stamp sets are compatible with each other and each of the Confetti Crew members is picking two of their favorites to pair together on their project.

. . . . .

Today on Confetti Camera, the spotlight is on the fun and talented SAVANNAH O’GWYNN

Savannah created a video to show how she created her card with a couple of her RC faves…

Joni just took my breath away with this watercolored PETALS ‘N POSIES card (also using BEAUTIFUL BANNERS and BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts).

Stacey checked in with her “artsy” side for this beautiful watercolored card using COUNT YOUR RAINBOWS and TAG ME Confetti Cuts.

Rc faber castell rainbow

Lisa is shooting for the stars with this crazy cool card using WINNING, OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts, DOIN’ THE WAVE Confetti Cuts and TAG ME Confetti Cuts

Only Leigh would think to make flowers into stars (so clever!).  I love this card using ALL ABOUT YOU and with PETALS ‘N POSIES.

Get ready for your jaw to drop!  This giftie using LABEL ME, LABEL ME Confetti Cuts, LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts and SO STRIPEY from Sarah is so crazy cute!

Beep! Beep!  Cute card from Kathy cruising by using HERE WE GO along with coordinating HERE WE GO Confetti Cuts.

Shore do love this card from Amy using HAPPY HARBOR and SO STRIPEY.

5.29.14

What a fun card from Lisa using lots of great patterns along with the PETALS ‘N POSIES stamp set and PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts.

Susan’s trendy gold stripe notebooks (found at Target in the dollar section!) are perfectly adored with flowers from PETALS ‘N POSIES (and coordinating PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts), WHOLE LOTTA DOTS, sentiment from YOU MAKE ME SMILE and additional die cuts using TAG ME Confetti Cuts and CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts.

Stay tuned this weekend for a new SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY coming June 1st!

SHAKE IT UP

By admin
on May 27, 2014

Hello and Happy Tuesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

I’m sitting here staring out my living room window looking at the blue sky touched with pink from a beautiful sunset with the palm trees dancing in the breeze.  It’s hard to believe that just a couple of hours ago I was making a mad dash through ankle deep puddles to my car after getting a haircut.  It reminds me of the quote stating that there can be no rainbows without rain.  It also reminds be of the weatherman stating that he couldn’t rule out a stray shower or two.  I guess we can’t all be spot on all the time, right?

That’s kinda how I felt making this card for today’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY post…not spot on!

Shaker1

As you can see this is a shaker card.  I’ve made at least a dozen shaker cards in my cardmaking career (everything old is new again, right?).  I know the supplies and the steps and I know how it all comes together.  Apparently, that all went out the window when I sat down to make this one, which took two (almost 3 attempts).

Take One went something like this…

Cut

Stamp

Layer

Adhere

Step back and admire the fun-ness

Reach for the sequins

Realize I forgot the acetate window sheet

Expletive flies from mouth

Project flies into trash

So, for Take Two on this card I made sure to remember the acetate sheet.

Only to forget the sequins.

Yes, really.  Seriously, who does that?

Me.

Fortunately, I had not pressed the paper to the foam adhesive so hard as to make it Fort Knox, so I was able to pry open a corner and dump in the sequins.

I don’t even want to know how Take Three would have gone, so I am thankful I was able to save Take Two!

Here’s a detail shot of the shaker portion of the card stamped with a sentiment from the SWEET THING stamp set…

shaker3

I cut off about an inch from the left side of the card base and adhered a DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER edge for another fun detail to this card…

MAY COLOR CHALLENGE

By admin
on May 16, 2014

TGIF ‘Fetti Fans!

The weekend is *this* close!  I’m capping off a long week by volunteering at my son’s Pre-K field day this morning.  (eek!)  Later, I hope to find myself in the studio today to wrap up some awesome projects I have started.  Crossing my fingers that they will turn out just like they are in my head.  (eek…again!)

. . . . .

Today, I am so super excited to bring you the MAY COLOR CHALLENGE.  For those of you that are new to Reverse Confetti, or if you haven’t participated before, here are the details that you want to know…

  • There will be a new Color Challenge posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 16th of each month.

  • The color link list will be open from the 16th until noon CST on the 29th. The color challenge graphic will be posted in the sidebar and you will be able to click on it to get to that month’s challenge post with the link list during this time.

  • Reverse Confetti stamps are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!

  • You may enter as many times as you wish.

  • There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of Color Challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 30th of this month.

Have fun with this beautiful color combo…

May14ColorChallenge

I love how these colors look against the kraft neutral base…

Color

To created this banner, I used the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die and cut out one from dark pink and one from orange.  I then trimmed off the small scallop side and made banner pieces by cutting across in the middle of the scallops.  I added the hearts from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts set in light pink to complete all of the colors in the challenge.

While I loved the colors with the kraft, it needed a pop of white.  I cut a large tag from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set, trimmed off the top and sewed it to the top edge of the card.  Under the tag, I stamped “birthday wishes” from the SWEET THING stamp set.  I finished it all off by layering clear sequins, gold sequins and dark pink rhinestones (I guess I really like the bling!).

Made you smile!

Our first set reveal today is the latest addition to our KEY WORDS COLLECTION that features a “key word” that you can mix and match to build a variety of sentiments.

Introducing YOU MAKE ME SMILE, featuring the key word SMILE…

YouMakeMeSmile300

Here’s how you can combine the key word with the various other sentiments…

MixMatch

I had a lot of fun in the studio with this set.  It’s really easy to bring a card together in minutes using this set.  The best part about it is that I know these creations will put a smile on the recipients face!

My first card features not only the new YOU MAKE ME SMILE stamp set, but also the new DOIN’ THE WAVE Confetti Cuts die that cuts out three different width wavy lines at once.

DoinTheWaveProductGraphic

Smile1

I cut out the wavy lines in each color of the rainbow and then adhered them at an angle on my card base.  The heart is cut out with the large heart die from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set.

Smile1_detail

. . . . .

This second is just as full of color as the first (I guess that is what makes me SMILE), but with a few more layers…

Smile2

I stamped the key word SMILE in colors that coordinated with the pattern paper that I had chosen and then added the “happy looks good on you” sentiment along the side of the right panel.  The scallop edge was created with the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die (love this die!).  As a finishing touch, I added the white enamel dots around the sentiment…

Smile2_detail

. . . . .

As paper crafters, we are always making little gifties and cards for someone special.  From this idea, the new stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts were born.

Introducing, LABEL ME…

LabelMe300

LABEL ME Confetti Cuts…

LabelMeConfettiCutsProductGraphic

I have to admit, that these next couple of projects have been my favorite to create for this release.  Of course, give me another hour or two in the studio and that all could change!

First up is a card that isn’t just a regular card.  When I sat down with my notebook to joy down and sketch out ideas I kept thinking about doing a “tab tuck card” (YouTube tutorial video HERE), but I wanted to make it a little different than I had in the past.  What’s a girl to do?  I made a card on top of a card base…

BirthdayCard

In the above photo, you can also see the wavy line cut from the new DOIN’ THE WAVE Confetti Cuts, as well as the aqua panel stamped in stripes from the SO STRIPEY stamp set.  Yes!…the stripes coordinate with the stripes on the label stamp.  These are the things I think about when creating new sets.  Gotta love being able to coordinate and mix ‘n match your stamps!

The stars on this card were cut from the new OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die set (featured yesterday) and topped with sequins and rhinestones.  The flag ended panels that you see are the banner from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set.

The tab, created with the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts…

Opened up…

. . . . .

I was having so much fun with these colors that I decided to keep them around to create these fun lil’ gifties…

Bags

In addition to the new LABEL ME stamps and Confetti Cuts, I used WHOLE LOTTA DOTS on the banner from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set, the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die and the small heart from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set (adorned with a matching enamel dot)…

BagsCloseUp

. . . . .

There is so much more to see from the Confetti Crew!  Be sure to leave a comment on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate or even THE ENTIRE RELEASE!

CONFETTI CAMERA

By admin
on April 24, 2014

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Thursday!

It’s Thursday and time for CONFETTI CAMERA!

3) For this round we are focusing on how Reverse Confetti stamp sets are compatible with each other and each of the Confetti Crew members is picking two of their favorites to pair together on their project.

. . . . .

Today on Confetti Camera, the spotlight is on the super creative LISA HENKE

LisaHIntroPic

Hello. It’s Lisa, here. One of my favorite things about Reverse Confetti stamps is how easily you can mix and match ALL of them.  I had a hard time choosing which ones to show off for today’s post. I love to mix up fonts and styles.

confetti camera photo1

I needed a boy birthday card, so I reached for INNER ROCK STAR and paired it with the fabulous sentiment set, ALL ABOUT YOU.

I used the largest tag from TAG ME Confetti Cuts as my focal point on the card. I customized it with the stars from INNER ROCK STAR stamped in a light gray ink on the background and then adding the birthday sentiment in Navy ink.

confetti camera photo2

I stamped the guitar and cut it out to use as a custom made embellie. It was easy to transform this image into a more BOYISH embellishment simply by swapping out the heart with  a star. I did this with a wood veneer star. I used a sponge dauber to add Tangy Orange ink to the star.

confetti camera photo3

A few more touches of grunge to really boy-it-up: splatter, distressed edges, enamel dots, and a trio of stamped music notes and this card was complete.

SupplyList

Stamps: Inner Rock Star, All About You

Confetti Cuts: Tag Me

Cardstock: Tangy Orange, Navy, Grout Gray and White, Let’s Polka dp, and silver glitter paper

Ink: Navy, Tangy Orange, Grout Gray

Accessories: Enamel dots, wood veneer stars, star die cut, silver cord, sponge dauber
