Hello, hello ‘Fetti Fans!

Thanks to everyone that hopped with us!  The comment winner was taken from right here on the Reverse Confetti blog.

Amber, please email info@reverseconfetti.com to claim your prize!

. . . . .

Being that it is Tuesday, it is TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!

ThankYouBunches

When I sat down to create this card, I had new I wanted to create a scrappy card.  I dug through my Confetti Cuts dies and grabbed a few that I wanted to work with.  I originally had 2 large hearts where the flowers are, but then switched over to the flowers when I grabbed this set for a sentiment.

Wanna know a secret?

There’s a pink polka dot flower under the pink solid flower.  I smeared the ink from the dots in the center and  took “the opportunity to embellish” with the larger solid flower I had already stamped and cut sitting on my desk.

The flowers are stamped from the PETALS ‘N POSIES stamp set and the PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts die set.  The leaves are cut from the FRESH ‘N FRUITY Confetti Cuts die set.

ThankYouBunches3

Under the flowers, I cut a panel from the CHEVRON PRETTY PANELS Confetti Cuts die set in white and layered it over a light gray panel.  The fun and chunky notebook paper panel is cut from the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts die set.

ThankYouBunches2

Poppin’ this one into my stash…and I just might make a few more just like it!

CONFETTI CAMERA

By admin
on May 22, 2014

Howdy ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s Thursday and time for CONFETTI CAMERA!

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from a fun tip or technique from each of our designers. A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such on Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will answer the same set of questions/show a tip until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

3) For this round we are focusing on how Reverse Confetti stamp sets are compatible with each other and each of the Confetti Crew members is picking two of their favorites to pair together on their project.

. . . . .

Today on Confetti Camera, the spotlight is on the uber fab, AMY SHEFFER

Hi ‘Fetti fans! For today’s card, I’ve combined two sets from our latest release, OLIVER OWL and YOU MAKE ME SMILE, in a super fun, quirky way!

RCyoumakemesmile2_0522confetticamera_aks

I just adore the glasses in both Oliver Owl, Freida Fox, and BeBe Bunny, and thought Oliver’s square ones would be fun to use with the word “smile” in YOU MAKE ME SMILE. (There’s a third set in there, too – the eyes are from PETALS ‘N POSIES.) The grin, which I cut with my Cameo, is actually from a jack-o-lantern parts collection, of all things!

RCyoumakemesmile2detail_0522confetticamera_aks

The new DOIN’ THE WAVE CONFETTI CUTS die makes an appearance, as do old favorites, LOVE NOTE, DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER, and OFFICE EDGES. (I love my RC dies!) For fun, I spritzed the main panel with some aqua mist and accented with clear sequins.

SupplyList

Stamps: Oliver Owl, You Make Me Smile, Petals ‘n Posies

Confetti Cuts: Doin’ the Wave, Office Edges, Love Note, Double Edge Scallop Border

TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY

By admin
on May 20, 2014

Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

I have a card for today’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY that is perfect for celebrating your loved one’s accomplishments.  My inspiration for this card was all the graduation and sports pics that have been seeing lately, but this card really could go to anyone that deserves a good pat on the back…

Hooray

I used a variety of Reverse Confetti products and did a little game of mix ‘n match to come up with this card.  First, the chunky notebook paper edge is from the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts, I then stamped the notebook paper from the CLASS ACT stamp set and cut it out with the rounded rectangle from the CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts die set (the tab on the upper right corner is from this set, too).  Next I created the trophy using the new WINNING stamps and WINNING Confetti Cuts die set.  I just love how this trophy looks cut from this gold glitter paper!  The star “shower” and sentiment are also from the WINNING stamp set.  The string of stars from the OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts set was intended to be stitched, but I think my ADD may have gotten the best of me!

Since I already had the gold trophy on there, I decided to keep with the “go for the gold” theme and added gold sequins and topped off the stars with some big rhinestones.

Hooray_detail

Gotta keep this short and sweet.  End of school year craziness abounds…all while I design our fall release.  Talk about making my head spin!  LOL!

Summer is just around the corner.  Hard to believe it, since winter seemed to cling on for months on end.  But here come the sunny days filled with smiles, laughter, flip flops and popsicles!  Does anyone else remember getting a “Bomb Pop” from the ice cream man and sitting on the curb while half of it ran down to your elbow?  Ahh…summer memories!  I think some new memories need to be made this summer with the recipe from the pic posted above (Honeydew Cucumber Margarita popsicles…yum!)…and some made of paper and ink, too!

Introducing LET’S CHILL…

LetsChill300

(illustrated by Angelica Suarez)

This set features 3 popsicle images, 2 sticks plus a woodgrain detail for the sticks, center lines for the popsicles as well as 4 fun sentiments.  Of course, there is a matching Confetti Cuts die set, too…

LetsChillConfettiCutsProductGraphic

For the first card that I made using this set, I stamped the polka dot popsicle and then die cut the popsicle and the center lines (this is a separate die).  I backed it with coordinating orange cardstock.  For the sticks, I stamped the outline image and the woodgrain on kraft cardstock and then attached them to the back of the popsicles.  I love the size of these popsicles…fun for any paper crafting project!

LetsChillCard1

This color palette is so happy, fun and perfect for this set.  I used again (for the most part) on my second card, which also features the DOIN’ THE WAVE Confetti Cuts die that was introduced yesterday…

LetsChillCard2

For this card, I die cut the popsicle from pattern paper and backed it with coordinating cardstock.  I cut the top panel short and added the DOIN’ THE WAVE panel for a fun detail.  The card is also scored and “bound” at the folding end.

Whether your preferred method of travel is by land, sea or air this next set has you covered!

Introducing HERE WE GO…

HereWeGo300

This darling stamp set features a car, submarine, plane as well as detail images, 5 coordinating sentiments and a matching Confetti Cuts die set, too!

HereWeGoConfettiCutsProductGraphic

For my first card using HERE WE GO, I went the Clean and Simple (CAS) route…

SubCard

I started by cutting out pattern paper and cardstock with the DOIN’ THE WAVE Confetti Cuts die and adhering them to a white piece of cardstock.  I then put the rounded rectangle from the (previously released) CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts die set over the waves and cut to get the panel with the water.  The submarine was stamped in yellow and cut out with the submarine Confetti Cuts die and adhered to the “water/waves” with dimensional adhesive.

For added detail, I embossed the bubbles coming from the propeller on the card base…

SubCard_detail

My second card has a few more layers and added details.  Here I used the plane and propeller images and Confetti Cuts die cuts…

PlaneCard

The tab on the left was created with the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts die set.  I also added the heart strip from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set and the large side of DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts.  It’s hard to see in some of the pics, but the propeller and dashed “flight path” are embossed in black.  For added detail on the “flight path,” I also used my C3 Copic to create a little shadow.

All of the stamp sets and Confetti Cuts for our May release have now been revealed.  All of these products will be available in the Reverse Confetti store at midnight EST tonight.

By admin
on May 05, 2014

Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

It is time to celebrate!  The sneak peeks for the May 8th release have officially begun, or as we like to call them: the COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI!  For the next four days we will be sharing a bunch of inspiration featuring our SIX new stamp stamps and SIX new CONFETTI CUTS.  All of the products will be live in the Reverse Confetti store at midnight on May 8th.

And, did you know?…

IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY!

And, we’re celebrating with gifts for YOU!  See below how you could win!

 NewReleaseScheduleMay14

Just a note…all of our releases will happen on the 8th of the month…just not every month.  We will release new product every other month.  We’ll still be hopping on the 8th, whether there is a release or not.  Just remember, “Eight is Great!”

. . . . .

Don’t forget to leave a comment here and on each sneak peek post this week for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate or even THE ENTIRE RELEASE!

In addition to having a chance to win just by leaving a comment on the sneak peek posts, we are also running a Facebook promotion (starting at 9am EST today).  After you are done checking out the sneak peeks, head on over to OUR FACEBOOK PAGE and look for this graphic…

NewReleaseFBLike

On Facebook, simply leave a comment under the graphic.  One person that comments on the graphic by 1pm EST on May 7th will be randomly chosen to win a $25 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.  Winners for both the blog comments and Facebook comments will be announced here on the Reverse Confetti blog as well as on Facebook.

. . . . .

You know the drill…grab that cuppa joe (or tea), sit back and relax as we kick off this COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI!

HOOT HOOT HOORAY, it’s our birthday!

IP

In addition to it being out birthday, it’s that time of year when our focus turn to Dads and Grads and our latest “cutie” in the QUIRKY CUTIES collection is just perfect for all those guys (and gals) in your life.  Plus, you’ll find fun uses for him throughout the year.

Without further adieu, let me introduce you to OLIVER OWL

OliverOwl300

I just adore OLIVER OWL and had so much fun coloring and creating with him!  (Even if you are not a “colorer,” these images are lots of fun to play with!)

For this card, I had Oliver take center stage with the sentiment stitched to the rounded rectangle (CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts) just behind him.  I backed that panel with cuts from TAG ME and the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts.  He’s colored with both warm and cool grays and I think he goes perfectly with the woodgrain paper that I’ve been hoarding for a couple of months now…

Oliver2

Detail shot…

Today, we are also introducing the new set WINNING, along with the companion WINNING Confetti Cuts die set…

A little side note and Reverse Confetti trivia for you…this was actually one of the first sets that I sketched and created concepts for when things got going last year.  However, it just wasn’t meant to be at that time and I am glad I hung onto it, edited it, sent it to a different illustrator (Angelica Suarez) and ended up with this fantastic set perfect for all the champs in your life…

WinningGraphic300

The Confetti Cuts die set features the trophy, the trophy base, the pennant and the starburst…

WinningConfettiCutsProductGraphic

The new OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die set is the perfect compliment to the WINNING stamps and Confetti Cuts, too.  The (single) stars in this set are the same size as the stars in the WINNING stamp set.

OhMyStarsConfettiCutsProductGraphic

. . . . .

I was apparently channeling my inner Dallas Cowboys fan with this color scheme on my first card featuring WINNING stamps and Confetti Cuts, and the OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die set.  However, any Cowboys fan will tell you that colors are where the team stops as the muse for this card (sorry ‘Boys…hoping for a better season this year).

Winning1

I used the tab from the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts to display the word, “hooray” from a WINNING set sentiment.  You can also see the dimension on this card and the detail of the star strip behind the trophy/trophy base…

Winning1_detail2

It’s been awhile since I broke out the Diamond Glaze, but this card just needed a little “something” as a special touch and this was it!  On this shot, you can also see that I slightly shaded the trophy (Copic C3 and Blender), too.

Winning1_detail

I’ve been having quite a bit of fun in my studio lately creating with these new stamps and Confetti Cuts.  While I love doing lots of layers on cards and other paper crafting projects, it’s so nice to keep it simple sometimes.

For this card, I cut 3 of the star strips (OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts) and attached 3 shades of purple cardstock to create this ombre card with a sentiment from the WINNING stamp set.

Card2

Detail shot…

Card2_detail

I also did the same layout with a more masculine color scheme and embellishments (stars cut from OH MY STARS in cork)…

card3

Detail shot…

. . . . .

There is so much more inspiration to see using all these stamps and dies that are releasing on May 8th!

Lisa Henke’s pair of cards is just delightful!  Great details and use of the stars from the INNER ROCK STAR stamp set, as well as the sentiment from LOTS TO SAY.  Don’t you just love the chunky notebook edge from the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts?!

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By admin
on April 02, 2014

Hello and Happy Wednesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

We are settling in nicely here in Cypress, TX…and prepping for our first house guests this week.  Needless to say, there hasn’t been a dull moment around here for the past couple weeks! If there are any local ‘Fetti Fans out there, please let me know!

. . . . .

It’s Wednesday and time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS? It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

While I have been keeping busy with all of the behind the scenes stuff for Reverse Confetti, my “studio time” has been next to nothing (sniffle, sniffle).  I did, however, get a little play time last week.  I am sure that many of you can relate to what happens when you are away from your stamps/inks/dies for a while…the mojo is a no go.  So, today I want to chat a little bit about the process I went through to create these cards, which ended up being some of my faves of all time.

The first thing I did was grab some paper I that I bought before the move.  I swear it has been calling my name every time I walk into my office!  Next, I thought about a few of the “techniques” or things that I have liked about past projects and I came up with layering the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die along with the large tag from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set.  I really love creating “tab tuck” cards (created with the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts – tutorial HERE), too, so I put those few things together and came up with this card trio…

I dressed up the layered LOVE NOTE and TAG ME Confetti Cuts with the new PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts.

The tag is stamped with a sentiment from the PAPER CRANE set and was chosen because I thought it was a great sentiment for these cards that are going to the kiddos’ teachers.

This is just me having some fun with my new camera.  For inquiring minds…SonyHX300.  I have had my eye on a Nikon SLR for a long time, but I haven’t wanted to make that kind of investment.  I came across this one on clearance at Target and I am LOVING it!  Easy to use and I really like the picture quality.
