Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

We have an awesome WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS for you today!

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between. Today, Confetti Crew member, Amy Sheffer, has a colorful set of pocket scrapbooking cards that will kick start your creative for scrapbooking or cardmaking!

. . . . .

As soon as I saw the Posted Note Sentiments stamp set, I thought how perfect many of the sentiments would be for pocket scrapbooking filler cards. I also pulled out a couple of other sentiment sets that work well for pocket scrapbooking: Shine From Within and God Is Good.

I started out by watercoloring eight backgrounds and die-cutting them using the rounded rectangle die from Documented Confetti Cuts die set. Just shy of 3″ x 4″, this die is designed for pocket scrapbooking. (It’s also a great size for background panels on cards.)

This first one is super easy. After watercoloring and splattering, I just stamped the big sentiment from Shine From Within and clear embossed to make it extra crisp.

Here, I’ve white embossed the sentiment (also from Shine From Within) onto the watercolored Documented panel, then accented with clear sequins, silver star sequins, and some silver metallic embroidery floss.

I love how this one turned out! I adhered a white Geometric Background Confetti Cuts die-cut over the watercolor background, trimmed off the overhang, and embellished at the “intersections” with clear sequins. The sentiment, from Posted Note Sentiments, is stamped on vellum and white embossed, then machine-stitched to the card base.

I just adore the Posted Note Confetti Cuts die set! Here, I added a faux chalkboard layer by die-cutting a second Posted Note rounded rectangle, trimming it down, and re-rounding the corners. (I trimmed the corners by hand.) I white embossed the sentiment (from Posted Note Sentiments), then used a sponge dauber to lightly smudge on some white pigment ink for the erased chalkboard look.

For this first one in the red/pink/orange/yellow group, I stamped and white embossed a sentiment from God is Good onto a vellum flag that I die-cut using one of the dies from the Layered Banner Duo Confetti Cuts set. I machine-stitched it to the Documented die-cut and embellished with some enamel dots. Last, I added just a touch of gold metallic splatter.

Here, the sentiment (from Posted Note Sentiments) is white embossed onto the Documented die-cut. I embellished with some Star Garland Confetti Cuts and more enamel dots.

On this one, the sentiment (from Posted Note Sentiments) is stamped in black pigment ink and clear embossed. I machine-stitched some messy circles around the sentiment and embellished with clear sequins.

Last up is another sentiment from Posted Note Sentiments, again stamped on vellum, white embossed, machine-stitched to the Documented panel. This design leaves lots of open space for optional journaling.

That wraps up the collection. Hope you’re inspired to use your stamps and dies in your scrapbooking. And if you’re not a scrapbooker, all of these easily could be turned into cards just by adhering the panels to card bases.

. . . . .

Are you ready?  Let’s go!

First up is a totally Pinterest inspired product.  First, here is one of my inspiration pics…

I wasn’t searching out anything when a few items like this came across my feed and I looked at them and thought that it would be a fun thing to make…and then…**lightbulb moment**

And, a new die set was born.  Introducing…

This 4 piece die set contains a rounded rectangle that is the “board,” as well as a decorative stand (with debossing lines), a finial (also with debossing lines) and a clip (again, with a detailed debossing line).

We’ve also created a sentiment set that pairs perfectly with the POSTED NOTE Confetti Cuts die set (or it can be used on its own). Introducing…

. . . . .

I see so many possibilities with these 2 products!

My first card today has the POSTED NOTE Confetti Cuts die set paired with the “thanks so very much” sentiment from the coordinating sentiment set.

After I cut the rectangle from kraft cardstock, I placed it in the center of the new WOODGRAIN Confetti Cuts die to get the woodgrain debossing detail.  I love how this looks!

Detail shot…

To create the look of a piece of paper from a notebook, I used the perforated line die from the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts die set.  My finishing touch on this card is the leaves (FRESH ‘N FRUITY Confetti Cuts die set) along with the large orange rhinestone.  I love the pop of color that it gives!

. . . . .

My lil’ guy is headed to Kindergarten in the fall (say it ain’t so).  I think I’ll keep this cute notecard set on hand to give to his teacher on the first day…

I created 6 of these 4.25″ square cards and they came together in a jiffy…and you know me and my dislike for mass production!  It was so fun and easy that I may just have to make another set for my daughter’s teacher.

Detail shot showing debossing feature on the POSTED NOTE Confetti Cuts die set.  The sentiment, from POSTED NOTE SENTIMENTS, is stamped on a paper that I had stamped with the notebook image from CLASS ACT in light blue…

. . . . .

There’s even more to see today!

And the coordinating Confetti Cuts die set…

I just LOVE this stamp set (and the dies, too, of course).  I made 2 cards the first time I sat down and played with it.

The stars with the “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” sentiment take center stage on this card.  They are mounted on a frame created with the SHAKERS ‘N FRAMES Confetti Cuts die set.

Detail shots…

. . . . .

As you can see, this second card was created with many of the same materials as the first.  I usually clean up my desk after each creation to start fresh, but I was having fun with what was in front of me (plus I had cut 3 additional stars) and I just went with it.

Detail shot of the stars dangling by linen thread…

Although I was tempted, I decided to forgo the sequins and rhinestones on this card as I didn’t want them getting bumped off by the movement of the stars.

. . . . .

There is so much more inspiration to see using these stamps and dies that are releasing on JULY 8th!

Check out the Confetti Crew & Friends’ posts.

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win!
