SPRING FLING HOP WITH THE MISTI TEAM

By Jen del Muro
on March 20, 2018

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

We thought it would be fun to do a SPRING FLING HOP and when Lydia Fiedler, coordinator for the My Sweet Petunia (creators of the fantabulous MISTI) team, asked if we would like to do a collaboration we said “Heck, yea!!” (or something like that…lol!) and decided to team up for today.  Most of the projects that you will see today are spring focused and all of them use the fabulous MISTI.

On top of all the great inspiration, there are a TON of giveaways happening…

Both Reverse Confetti and MISTI (see their store HERE) are giving away $60 gift certificates AND you will also find lots of giveaways along the way.

Be sure to comment on each post, as that is your entry for a chance to win!

Leave your comments no later than Sunday, March 25th, at 11:59 PM Central time and winners will be announced on Tuesday March 27th, on the Reverse Confetti and My Sweet Petunia blogs.

. . . . .

There are lots of ways to use a MISTI!  I know that some people use it for every image they stamp, but I find it most helpful when I have mass creating to do, when I need to make sure that something is super straight or if I am working within a tight space.  This tag applies to the latter two…

This is the tag that kicked off my whole project.  The tag is the smaller tag from the TAG DUO Confetti Cuts.  I stamped it with images from BLOOMS ‘N BUDS (Coral, Buttercup and Mint Confetti Colors of ink used).  I then used the MISTI to properly place the sentiment from the WITH LOVE stamp set.

Here’s a quick look at the Confetti Colors I used…

I apologize for not having directions for this lil’ box, but it’s basically a 2-4-6-8 box, although the dimensions are a little different.  A quick Google or YouTube search will turn up copious results for how to cut/score a box like this one.

I cut the base of the box from PREMIER POLAR WHITE cardstock and stamped it with flowers and leaves from the BLOOMS ‘N BUDS stamp set.

The top of the box is cut from BUTTERCUP cardstock and stamped with WHOLE LOTTA DOTS, also in BUTTERCUP.

I attached the tag with twine to the ribbon (from my stash) and a bit of tulle

One more detail shot…

Want to know what’s inside?…

. . . . .

Ok, it’s time for you to be on your way to see SO MUCH creativity using Reverse Confetti products along with the MISTI!

HAPPY FALL-IDAYS: HALLOWEEN

By Jen del Muro
on October 18, 2016

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to DAY ONE of our 2nd annual HAPPY FALL-IDAYS creative event!

Fallidays_Halloween

Like last year, myself and the Confetti Crew will be sharing Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas projects over the course of the next 3 days.  Enjoy all the Confetti Creativity!  We’d LOVE to see your Reverse Confetti Fall-idays projects, too!  Be sure to share them on Facebook and Instagram using #reverseconfetti

. . . . .

As you know, I absolutely LOVE Halloween and decorating for Halloween!  I try to create a new banner every year and I’ve had this idea in my head and knew this was the perfect time to share it!

dsc_0280

This banner uses both older and newer Reverse Confetti products.  I LOVE being able to mix and match stuff!

The banners are cut from TANGERINE cardstock with the LAYERED BANNER DUO Confetti Cuts die set.  I then used the HALLOWEEN BITS Confetti Cuts to create the jack-o-lantern and then layered it with a piece of black cardstock (not in our line up yet, but it’s coming).  For the top of the jack-o-lanterns, I cut a banner from LIME GREEN cardstock and stamped it with WHOLE LOTTA DOTS and finally trimmed it down to about 1/4″.

dsc_0282

The other banner panels are cut from our CLOUD WHITE cardstock and stamped with stripes from the SO STRIPEY stamp set.  I then added a black bat cut with the HALLOWEEN BITS Confetti Cuts die set.  The top of the tag is cut from STONE cardstock.

dsc_0283

Finally, each piece of the banner is strung onto CHARCOAL striped twine.

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s Thursday and time for another great CONFETTI CAMERA!

ConfettiCameraRCblog

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly (Thursday) segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations.

For this round each of our designers are working on Celebrations!  However, there is a little something different…I have challenged them to forego birthdays and to “think outside the card.”  I think you are going to LOVE what you see!

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

In the spotlight today is our Kiwi pal, the very talented…Sarah Gough!

With Mother’s Day fast approaching, my thoughts turned to the gorgeous Rose Garden stamp set – and how great it would be to send a bouquet of roses that’ll last a little longer than real ones! With that thought in mind I made a card-in-a-box using lots of Confetti Cuts to create a garden of blooms celebrating Mother’s Day.

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (1)

To create a box this size, I started with a 5×11″ piece of cardstock, scoring at 2″, 4″, 6″ and 8″ then again at 1.5″. Trim off a 1″ piece and set aside. Cut off the end of the cardstock (crosshatched in the photo) leaving a little tab and cut down the smaller scored lines to create flaps. Using the 1″ piece, create two or three inserts and adhere inside the box as shown (one of mine bent as I put it inside the box, this won’t matter in the long run). Your box will still fold flat, but will also stand upright with sections you can decorate with pop ups!

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (2)

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (3)

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (4)

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (5)

Using thin strips of acetate and glue dots, I stamped and cut lots of roses and leaves from Rose Garden using the Rose Garden Confetti Cuts. Some are adhered directly to the thin strips of cardstock, others are “floating” on acetate. As I fill the box, I fold it down to see how the flowers will layer when the box is flat.

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (7)

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (8)

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (10)

I also used the Whole Lotta Happy stamp set, the Give Thanks Label Confetti Cuts and added borders to the flaps with the Double Edge Scallop Border Confetti Cuts. I used the Leafy Confetti Cuts to add extra leaves and the Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts for some sparkly accents.

confetticameraSarahGoughBoxofRoses (6)

When it’s all finished the card-in-a-box should lay relatively flat for easy mailing!

Today’s Confetti Camera is brought to you by the fabulous, LISA HENKE

Lisa

. . . . .

Hello! Lisa Henke here today with the next edition of Confetti Camera. We were asked to create something other than a card and for a celebration other than a birthday! Easy Peasy, here…..it’s Spring Break for my kiddos and myself since I work part time in a school. So we are celebrating Spring Break with an ice cream party! Brownie sundaes to be exact and I love that I have just the right products for the party! My plan is to have this all set out on the table, ready for my boys after the last day of school to kick off the start of Spring Break!

LisaH-Celebrate Spring Break

The banner was my starting point. I used the Hang Ups Confetti Cuts and the small circle die from Donut You Know Confetti Cuts and stamped the letters from Alphabetical to spell out CELEBRATE. I tied the banner on to some Solid Mandarin Twine and attached it to some paper straws. I set the Spring Break theme with some stamped suns from Weather It Together.

LisaH-celebrate banner

I then got busy with a fun way to show off a few of the toppings the boys could add to their sundaes, sprinkles and chocolate chips. Yum! I cut the pinking circle from Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts and layered on the large solid circle from Circles ‘n Scallops Confetti Cuts. I love how these two layer up. It was a perfect place to add my sentiments, one from Love ‘n Ice Cream and the other from Donut You Know. I attached both to paper straws and simply stick them in the topping bowl.

LisaH-sprinkles

LisaH-celebrate icecream

The final celebration piece was a tag to go with MY favorite topping….chocolate sauce or hot fudge. This one is from a locally famous ice cream parlor here in Cincinnati. If you ever visit, check out Graeter’s! It’s awesome! I cut one of the Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts and layered on the pierced circle from Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts. I stamped a greeting from With Love and then added a die cut Love ‘n Ice Cream cone. I added some Donut You Know sprinkles and a Hang Ups tag topper.

LisaH-celebrate happy tag

This idea could work for many occasions, simply Swap out colors and any of the die cut elements to customize your party pieces. Have fun and if you are celebrating Spring Break……relax, enjoy yourself and have a little ice cream party!

SPRING FLING BLOG HOP

By Jen del Muro

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and HAPPY SPRING!

We’re celebrating the flowers blooming and birds chirping with an inspiration filled SPRING FLING Blog Hop!

SpringFlingGraphic

We’ll be giving away a $15 gift certificate to one lucky commenter, too!  Just leave a comment at each stop along the way for your chance to win.  Comments will be open today through Sunday with a winner announced next week.

. . . . .

My project today is a sweet and simple treat basket that I created from the GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG Confetti Cuts die set (how-to information below)…

DSC_0500

The “main image panel” on the front of the treat basket is created from the FLOWERS FOR MOM and BUTTERFLY DREAMS Confetti Cuts die sets.  I stamped the “happy spring” sentiment (from HIPPITY HOPPITY) on the banner in white pigment ink…

 DSC_0503

The treat basket is filled with paper grass and a little plastic carrot “egg” that I picked up at Hobby Lobby (I think)…

DSC_0512

While this treat basket is all about “spring,” it will be easy to switch up the color/theme for year-round fun!!

How to create this treat basket…

  • Cut 4 of the GIFT CARD HOLDER TAG from cardstock
  • Cut one 3 3/16″ square from same cardstock as tag
  • Score tags at 1″ from the top of the tag & 3/4″ from bottom
  • Adhere top end of tag to each side of square
  • Wrap with patterned paper and embellish
  • Optional: add a 1/2″ handle (mine started at 8.5″ in length and is adhered almost an inch in on each side)
  • Fill it up and give to a family member or friend

. . . . .

It’s time to get hoppin’ and see what the rest of the Crew came up with!

In the spotlight today is the incredibly talented and sweet, KAY MILLER

Kay

Hello! Kay here with the next installment of Confetti Camera! We are challenged this time to create something to celebrate, but not a birthday theme. So being as it’s getting close to Easter I chose to Celebrate Spring’s arrival and the upcoming Easter Holiday. I created two cute little Easter treat boxes to give my kids for Easter, featuring the new Hippity Hoppity stamps and coordinating Confetti Cuts dies.

K1

I started by putting together two of the Tagged Totes boxes, one in blue and one in pink. I cut the arched piece that comes with the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts die set out of some cute patterned paper to decorate the fronts. For the blue box with the boy bunny, I used the scalloped frame from Love Note Confetti Cuts and cut one out of white. I cut a coordinating piece of patterned paper out with the Class Act Confetti Cuts and glued that on. I adhered this to the box front with foam tape. For the pink girly box, I did the same, but used Circle N’ Scallops Confetti Cuts.

K3

K4

I then colored the two little bunnies with Copic markers, cut them out and adhered them to their bags with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out like a banner and adhered this along the bottom of each with foam tape. I added the little eggs and die cut some greenery with the Leafy Confetti Cuts to tuck in behind each of them. I then cut out four of the little bows from the Tagged Tote and glued two, slightly skewed, to the top of each bag.

K5

K6

I was so tickled at how cute these turned out. I can’t wait to fill them with Easter candy for the kids! My daughter’s going to love the box as much as what’s in it. My son, while he’ll appreciate that I went to the trouble, he’ll be all about the candy!

I have a couple of projects to share with you today featuring some of the new product that is now available.  There is a link list to the Confetti Crew just below my projects for all of the Confetti Crew and our February ‘Fetti Friend posting today.  The inspiration is contagious, let me tell you!

My first project today is 2 tags featuring the new HIPPITY HOPPITY stamp and Confetti Cuts die sets along with the new Hoppin’ Dots QUICK CARD PANELS and EDGERS Confetti Cuts…

These tags are cut using our TOPPED OFF TAG Confetti Cuts die set.  I then stamped, colored and layered the bunnies and their design elements atop a hill created with the new curved line EDGER Confetti Cuts.

The girl bunny card also features a cloud cut from the SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set and then stamped with the SO STRIPEY stamp set.  The sentiment is stamped with white pigment ink on the bottom edge…

For the boy bunny tag, I cut it from the new Hoppin’ Dots QUICK CARD PANELS.  I just love the “Hippity Hop Hop” saying on this one!

My other project for today features the new THE LORD’S STRENGTH stamp set, along with the GIVE THANKS LABEL Confetti Cuts die set (re-released last month) and the WOODGRAIN and LEAFY Confetti Cuts die sets…

I don’t know that I could technically classify this under a “fun fold” type of card, but I did trim off about an inch on the right side of this card for a little added detail.  I love how it came out!

In the spotlight today is the sweet and talented, LAURIE SCHMIDLIN

Laurie

Hi ‘Fetti fans! I’m excited to share with you what I came up with for the newest Confetti Camera theme, “Celebrate Good Times”! Even though the obvious birthday theme is off limits, I was still need some little gifties for my kids’ school Valentine’s Day party. I’ve been a part of our school’s Booster Club for a while and have gotten in the habit of giving gifts to each of the students and teachers. So naturally, I found this Confetti Camera theme perfect for me! Here is what I came up with…

Valentine's Giftie Ensemble

I started by covering these little 2″ boxes with some patterned paper to dress them up. I filled each of them up with some candy (of course) and a mini chapstick. To decorate them, I layered on a large and small heart (created with the Heart to Heart stamp set and coordinating Heart to Heart Confetti Cuts die set), a die cut arrow (from the Arrow Confetti Cuts), and the circular sentiment (from the Crushin’ stamp set).

Valentine's Giftie Ensemble4

Valentine's Giftie Ensemble3

Valentine's Giftie Ensemble5

For the teacher gift, I used many of the same elements as the little boxes but added a fun little notebook paper layer as well (created with the Class Act stamp set and coordinating Class Act Confetti Cuts die set).

I created the cute tote bag with the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts die set. I filled this one with candy, suckers, and some matching red pens!

In the spotlight today is the wonderfully talented, SUSAN LILES…

Susan

Hi there, ‘Fetti Fans!  Today we are kicking off our first new Confetti Camera theme of 2016.  This time, the Confetti Crew will be working with the theme, “CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES”.  However, to make it a little more interesting, we are making the birthday theme off-limits, to help everyone think outside the box.  The celebrations can be “normal” stuff like wedding, baby shower, housewarming, etc., but you might also see things created for those wacky holidays like “National Donut Day, National Pie Day”, etc. throughout the coming months.  Sound like fun?  Here’s what I did:

IMG_2650

IMG_2653

My daughter, Audrie and I started brainstorming “other” celebrations and although today is National Kazoo Day (lol), we both decided on an “Championship Soccer Celebration” theme.  So of course, I had to use her team’s name and colors (Explosion FC and the pink/black color combo), hoping this will bring them good luck in their indoor soccer league championship game coming up!

IMG_2654

I started by gathering my supplies, cardstock and paper, knowing I wanted to make a little table decoration, water bottle, and Frosted Pillow Box party favor.  The tag card actually came later from my leftover scraps that I had already stamped and cut, so this will be a sweet card to give to our amazing coach!

IMG_2652

I stamped and die cut different elements that I thought would make for a good soccer theme, mostly using the WINNING stamp set and WINNING Confetti Cuts.  I used my Silhouette to quickly cut and make the soccer ball, and then just started putting things together and embellishing. The table decoration is just a round container wrapped in paper and the sticks are just straws.  Once again, having a premade “stash” of elements right at my fingertips made this project move along so quickly.  Any of these pieces to my ensemble would be very easy to recreate.

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By Jen del Muro
on January 27, 2016

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

Today, we have a special WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS brought to you by Confetti Crew Member, Amy Sheffer.

What is Wednesday in the Works?

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

AmyS

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Amy here with a fun peek-a-boo tag for today’s Wednesday in the Works.

RCpeekabootag1-1

I started by filling a Frosted Pillow Box with some candy, then added a pretty tag that I die-cut with the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts. Because the tag is nearly as large as the box, I decided to cut a window into the tag so that the contents would show through. Here’s what I did:

RCpeekabootag1-2

  1. Die-cut two tags using the Thanks Tag die, one from patterned paper and one from acetate.

RCpeekabootag1-3

  1. Die-cut one Globe from white card stock.

RCpeekabootag1-4

  1. Use the Globe die to cut a circle window in the patterned paper tag.

RCpeekabootag1-5

  1. In-lay the white Globe into the circle window and adhere, using the acetate Thanks Tag die-cut as a backer.

RCpeekabootag1-6

  1. Add a Hang Ups tag topper using a coordinating piece of patterned paper and a metallic gold grommet die-cut.

RCpeekabootag1-7

  1. Embellish with Leafy die-cuts and a metallic gold Lovey Words sentiment.

RCpeekabootag1-8

  1. I wrapped my Pillow Box with a coordinating patterned paper, making sure to cut a Globe opening in it as well.

RCpeekabootag1-9

  1. Note: the 6×6 patterned paper is just a smidge short to fully wrap the pillow box, so I just added some sparkly gold washi tape at the seam to hide the gap.

RCpeekabootag1-10

Thanks for joining me for this week’s Wednesday in the Works!
