CHECK THIS OUT

By Jen del Muro

Hey there, ‘Fetti Fans!

Reverse Confetti, along with a ton of other sponsors have joined up with FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES to celebrate their 200th sketch celebration!

Check it out HERE!

Of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play along, too.

Here’s the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches…

FMS Final 200

And, my take on it…

FMSCard

I stamped the “Hello Sunshine” sentiment from the SHINE BRIGHT stamp set and then colored it in a gradient with Copics.

To embellish, I used the SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set…

FMSCard1

The clouds are double layered.  The top layer is white and I went ahead and added some flock to them.  Who doesn’t love fluff white clouds?  I matted them with aqua clouds.  To tie in the aqua color with the rest of the card, I added the aqua ribbon to the top.  As you can see, the sun is also double layered and the heart on top is from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set.

As a finishing touch, I added the sequins.  It’s “funny”…I have 14 million (slight exaggeration) sequin colors and I reach for the clear ones…every.single.time.  Am I the only one?

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By Jen del Muro
on July 22, 2015

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

We have an awesome WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS for you today!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS?

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between. Today, Confetti Crew member, Amy Sheffer, has a colorful set of pocket scrapbooking cards that will kick start your creative for scrapbooking or cardmaking!

. . . . .

AmySIntroPic

As soon as I saw the Posted Note Sentiments stamp set, I thought how perfect many of the sentiments would be for pocket scrapbooking filler cards. I also pulled out a couple of other sentiment sets that work well for pocket scrapbooking: Shine From Within and God Is Good.

reverseconfetti_pocketscrapfillercards2

I started out by watercoloring eight backgrounds and die-cutting them using the rounded rectangle die from Documented Confetti Cuts die set. Just shy of 3″ x 4″, this die is designed for pocket scrapbooking. (It’s also a great size for background panels on cards.)

 pocketscrap1_dreambig

This first one is super easy. After watercoloring and splattering, I just stamped the big sentiment from Shine From Within and clear embossed to make it extra crisp.

 pocketscrap2_sparkle

Here, I’ve white embossed the sentiment (also from Shine From Within) onto the watercolored Documented panel, then accented with clear sequins, silver star sequins, and some silver metallic embroidery floss.

 pocketscrap3_littlethings

I love how this one turned out! I adhered a white Geometric Background Confetti Cuts die-cut over the watercolor background, trimmed off the overhang, and embellished at the “intersections” with clear sequins. The sentiment, from Posted Note Sentiments, is stamped on vellum and white embossed, then machine-stitched to the card base.

 pocketscrap4_takenote

I just adore the Posted Note Confetti Cuts die set! Here, I added a faux chalkboard layer by die-cutting a second Posted Note rounded rectangle, trimming it down, and re-rounding the corners. (I trimmed the corners by hand.) I white embossed the sentiment (from Posted Note Sentiments), then used a sponge dauber to lightly smudge on some white pigment ink for the erased chalkboard look.

 pocketscrap5_Godisgood

For this first one in the red/pink/orange/yellow group, I stamped and white embossed a sentiment from God is Good onto a vellum flag that I die-cut using one of the dies from the Layered Banner Duo Confetti Cuts set. I machine-stitched it to the Documented die-cut and embellished with some enamel dots. Last, I added just a touch of gold metallic splatter.

 pocketscrap6_lovelifelivelife

Here, the sentiment (from Posted Note Sentiments) is white embossed onto the Documented die-cut. I embellished with some Star Garland Confetti Cuts and more enamel dots.

 pocketscrap7_greatday

On this one, the sentiment (from Posted Note Sentiments) is stamped in black pigment ink and clear embossed. I machine-stitched some messy circles around the sentiment and embellished with clear sequins.

 pocketscrap8_amazing

Last up is another sentiment from Posted Note Sentiments, again stamped on vellum, white embossed, machine-stitched to the Documented panel. This design leaves lots of open space for optional journaling.

 reverseconfetti_pocketscrapfillercards

That wraps up the collection. Hope you’re inspired to use your stamps and dies in your scrapbooking. And if you’re not a scrapbooker, all of these easily could be turned into cards just by adhering the panels to card bases.

TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY

By Jen del Muro
on March 31, 2015

Hello and Happy Tuesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

Today I have a fun little card to share with you on our TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY post.

By “little card,” I really do mean a LITTLE card!  I was messing around with some scraps and came up with a way to get three mini cards from one sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper.  Now, I know that it’s about 99.99+% probable that I didn’t “invent” this way of getting 3 cards from a piece of cardstock, but it’s kind of new to me, as I am such a fan of A2, and I want to share it with you!

First, here’s my little card measuring 3 3/8″ x 4 1/4″…

HelloSunshine1

Here’s the card next to one of the others that I posted last week, to give you a better idea of the dimensions…

HelloSunshineNext

I had a lot of fun playing around with this card size.  You’ll be seeing more of it in our Countdown to Confetti for the SPECIAL APRIL RELEASE (sneak peeks start Sunday)!

Here’s a template for how to get three cards from just one sheet of paper.  Card base #2 shows the dimensions of each card.

To create these 3 cards…

1. Along the 11″ side, cut at 6.75.”  Taking the larger piece, cut in 2 at 4.25″ along the 8.5″ side.  Score these 2 pieces at 3.375″ (3 3/8″).

2. Take the remaining piece and trim long side to 6.75″ and then score in the center at 3.375″

CardTemplate

This card features one of the sentiments from the March Release set, SHINE BRIGHT, along with new SUN ‘N CLOUDS and Documented (Rounded Rectangle) Confetti Cuts dies.  I layered the sun for added dimension and added a little bling with rhinestone…

HelloSunshineSide

Want to know what’s extra great about these cards?  In addition to them being a super sweet size, they still fit great in your A2 envelopes. You could also punch a hole through the top left to create a tag/card combo.

I’ll be slipping this one into my daughter’s lunchbox for a midday pick-me-up!

I think we are all ready for a little more sunshine in our lives about this time of year!!  I know it hardly feels like spring here and I am turning lighter shades of pale with each passing day.  If I can’t get my sunshine outside, I guess I’ll have to take it in paper and ink form!

Introducing…

SHINE BRIGHT

ShineBrightProductGraphic

Mix and match these words/sentiments for lots of great possibilities!

These stamps coordinate with the SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set that I revealed on Day One…

SunNCloudsCCProductGraphic

I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with this set and mixing and matching the sentiments and pairing them with new Confetti Cuts dies.

hellosunshine

For this card I stamped the sentiment on the rounded rectangle from the CLASS ACT Confetti Cuts die set (previously released) and adhered it to the scalloped rectangle from the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die set (also previously released).

To embellish, I added the sun from the new SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set with a few yellow enamel dots and used both of the banners from the new DOUBLE BANNER GARLAND Confetti Cuts.

The words on the stamped image are colored in with Copics.

Detail shots…

I told you that I didn’t think this die set would be leaving my desk anytime soon!  *wink*

So far in this release we have birds and bunnies.  It’s time to throw bees into the mix, too! Birds and bunnies and bees…OH MY!

Introducing…

THE BUZZ

TheBuzzProductGraphic

And, the coordinating Confetti Cuts die set…

TheBuzzCC_ProductGraphic

My first project today using THE BUZZ stamp and Confetti Cuts die is this cute lil’ tag…

BuzzTag

To create this, I cut out the TAG ME, TOO Confetti Cuts die and then stamped the “You Are So Bee-You-Tiful” sentiment on it.

I then cut out another TAG ME, TOO Confetti Cuts tag from gray and white polka dot paper and used the bottom portion to layer.  From there, I added a yellow strip cut with the new DOUBLE EDGE WONKY SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.

DoubleEdgeWonkyScallopBorderCCProductGraphic

The bees are stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then colored with Copics and then popped up on dimensional adhesive.  The small bee is adhered to the tag at the end of his “trail” (one of 2 different ones included in the set).

BuzzTag1

. . . . .

My second project using this fun stamp and Confetti Cuts die set is this card that also features the new SPRING FLING QUICK CARD PANELS

SweetCard

SpringFlingQCPProductGraphic

For this sweet bee, I layered the wings for added dimension.  It’s hard to tell in the photo (thank you Mother Nature for terrible lighting), but I also did add a little bit of glitter to the wings, as well…

SweetCard2

The beehive is also colored with Copics and adhered with dimensional adhesive.
