WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By Jen del Muro
on January 27, 2016

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Wednesday!

Today, we have a special WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS brought to you by Confetti Crew Member, Amy Sheffer.

What is Wednesday in the Works?

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  It’s us taking a closer look at how something is created, etc.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

AmyS

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Amy here with a fun peek-a-boo tag for today’s Wednesday in the Works.

RCpeekabootag1-1

I started by filling a Frosted Pillow Box with some candy, then added a pretty tag that I die-cut with the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts. Because the tag is nearly as large as the box, I decided to cut a window into the tag so that the contents would show through. Here’s what I did:

RCpeekabootag1-2

  1. Die-cut two tags using the Thanks Tag die, one from patterned paper and one from acetate.

RCpeekabootag1-3

  1. Die-cut one Globe from white card stock.

RCpeekabootag1-4

  1. Use the Globe die to cut a circle window in the patterned paper tag.

RCpeekabootag1-5

  1. In-lay the white Globe into the circle window and adhere, using the acetate Thanks Tag die-cut as a backer.

RCpeekabootag1-6

  1. Add a Hang Ups tag topper using a coordinating piece of patterned paper and a metallic gold grommet die-cut.

RCpeekabootag1-7

  1. Embellish with Leafy die-cuts and a metallic gold Lovey Words sentiment.

RCpeekabootag1-8

  1. I wrapped my Pillow Box with a coordinating patterned paper, making sure to cut a Globe opening in it as well.

RCpeekabootag1-9

  1. Note: the 6×6 patterned paper is just a smidge short to fully wrap the pillow box, so I just added some sparkly gold washi tape at the seam to hide the gap.

RCpeekabootag1-10

Thanks for joining me for this week’s Wednesday in the Works!

By Jen del Muro

Greetings ‘Fetti Fans and Happy (almost) 2016…

We are completing this year with one last Confetti Camera that is sure to inspire you to ring in 2016 in style!

ConfettiCameraRCblog

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round each of our designers will be coming up with a SET of something. You’ll see gift sets, card sets, pocket scrapping sets and much more this time around.

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

Hi ‘Fetti Fans, it’s Amy here today with the latest installment in the Set ‘Em Up Confetti Camera series. The theme is to create a set of something. With it being New Year’s Eve, I thought a set of New Year’s shaker tags and mini champagne bottles would be fun and appropriate!

RCconfetticamera1215_1-1

The shaker tags were cut with the THANKS TAG Confetti Cuts from a crisp, white card stock, then filled with silver, gold, clear, and white sequins for a glamorous look.

RCconfetticamera1215_1-4

RCconfetticamera1215_1-3

The word “hello” was die-cut with the HELLO Confetti Cuts die out of black card stock. I stamped the year using the new ALPHABETICAL stamp set. The year is white embossed on vellum, then stitched onto the tag frame using gold metallic thread. I curled the loose thread ends for a festive look.

Homemade baking – it’s the perfect gift, especially when packaged up with a gorgeous tag. The Easy as Pie stamp set and Confetti Cuts make giving your sweet treats, well, easy as pie! I’ve used them to create three tags, one for Christmas, one that would look excellent on a hostess gift and one that is just sweet for sweetness sake. I also discovered a fun little Confetti Cut combo, the Thanks Tag works perfectly with one of the very first Confetti Cuts sets ever released!

Up in the spotlight today is the one and only, LEIGH PENNER

LeighIntroPic

Hi there! Leigh, here and I’m excited to share my project with you today! For this round of Confetti Camera, we were challenged to create a set.

So, I decided to use the Pumpkin Patch stamp set & its coordinating Confetti Cuts, along with the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts to create a set of fall tags.

_IMGP7282

For each tag, I diecut the pumpkin and stamped it with a coordinating stamp. I love that there are so many choices in this set!

_IMGP7283

I should mention that for the tags, I trimmed off the edges of each one, so that they would be more rectangular in shape.

_IMGP7284

I used a couple of post-it notes to mask off the ground on each tag, which I inked with my blending tool. Then, I masked off the area I’d just inked so that I could ink the sky.

_IMGP7287

Before adhering my pumpkin diecuts, I stamped the vines and stems from Pumpkin Patch. I added some twine to finish off each tag.

While I could attach my tags to some treat bags, I decided to create a scrapbooking layout with them.

_IMGP7288

I used some Bazzill Basics Classic White cardstock as my background and added a strip of Crate Paper patterned paper. I lined up my tags along my matted photo of my daughter.

_IMGP7290

A little bit of journaling along the bottom and my layout is complete!

HAPPY FALL-IDAYS: HALLOWEEN

By Jen del Muro
on October 13, 2015

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to the first annual HAPPY FALL-IDAYS!

What exactly is HAPPY FALL-IDAYS?

It’s an online showcase event where the Confetti Crew will be sharing multiple holiday projects (these go way beyond cards!) and providing a serious dose of Reverse Confetti and holiday inspiration!  The fall and winter holidays are upon us now, so we are making this a 3 day celebration of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!

As the graphic below would suggest, we are kicking off HAPPY FALL-IDAYS with HALLOWEEN today.  Just below the graphic is a list of all of the Confetti Crew members that are sharing their projects today.  Be sure to scroll past, as I have a little something to share with you, as well!

I love paper crafting.  I love memory keeping projects. I don’t love scrapbooking.

So, what’s a girl to do?

Create paper crafting projects that contain pictures, making them memory keeping projects.

Are you wondering what I am talking about?  (Don’t worry, sometimes nobody knows).

Here’s what I mean…

DSC05934

I created this triptych (geesh, it’s been a LONG time since I made one of these!) and embellished and added pictures of my lil’ ones from last year’s Halloween.  Nic was a vampire (hence the un-living look) and Ellie was a pirate.

The entire project measures 9″ x 5.5″, with folds on 3″ and 6″.

DSC05932

For both Nic & Ellie’s panels, I started with a black and white piece of patterned paper and added a green border with the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.  From there, I layered a gray large wreath cut from the *new* WREATHS Confetti Cuts die set, and a tag (THANKS TAG Confetti Cuts) topped with a picture of each kid.  For embellishments, I added the bows atop the tag, the flag ended sentiments (both from TOO CUTE TO SPOOK) and 3 white enamel flat backs…

DSC05921

DSC05923

The center panel is 3 pumpkins cut from the PUMPKIN PATCH Confetti Cuts die set that are each covered in orange glitter.  Each of the pumpkins is popped up on a glue dot for some added dimension.

In short, this is what I call memory keeping…a fun project that I can display year after year that contains picture of a fun family time.

I’ll be on Periscope later today  (I’ll post time on IG)  going over this project, along with some of my other favorite un-scrapbooking projects, too.  See you then!

WEEK IN REVERSE

By Jen del Muro
on September 25, 2015

Hello and TGIF, ‘Fetti Fans!

What an awesome week it has been here!  What’s happening here, you ask?  There’s the daily routine of shipping orders, checking emails and other little tasks that are all part of being a business.  I’m fortunate to do this from home with a couple of doggies at my feet most days.  We’ve been researching and looking at office space, but it looks like we are staying based at home for now.  I am grateful for the opportunity to work from home, to be available to my kids and to make my own hours (and there are lots and lots of odd hours in there!). I am grateful that I took this leap a few years ago and I get to share my creative passion with  you.  I am so very grateful for YOU, for your support and for you sharing your creativity with me.  Needless to say, I am grateful for A LOT and I am also VERY excited!  There is a lot happening behind the scenes here that I can’t reveal quite yet.  But those long, odd hours are being put to good use to bring new products and exciting events (both online and in person) to you!  Today, I have shelves being built in the Reverse Confetti office and soon those shelves will be packed with new goodies!  Stay tuned! XO-Jen

LaurieIntroPic2

Hi Fetti fans!  I am so excited about the current Confetti Camera theme, “Set ‘Em Up!”!  I love creating sets of handstamped goodies!  My usual go-to project is a set of small mini cards, but I decided to shake things up a bit!

Tag Set 1 by Laurie Schmidlin

I was inspired by the new THANKS TAG Confetti Cuts die set and wanted to create a gift set of them.  In fact, I made five tags, all using the same layout but a different accent color.  I tucked them into a little gift bag I made using the TAGGED TOTE Confetti Cuts die set.  I decorated the outside using some of the same elements that I used on the tags.

For the tags, I went with a sort of “Autumn Rainbow” color scheme.  I used each of the pumpkins form the new PUMPKIN PATCH stamp set, along with the coordinating PUMPKIN PATCH Confetti Cuts dies.

Tag Set 6 by Laurie Schmidlin

Tag Set 5 by Laurie Schmidlin

Tag Set 4 by Laurie Schmidlin

I kept the background neutral, using the PRETTY PANELS: STRAIGHT STRIPES Confetti Cuts die to create a tone on tone texture.

I topped each tag with some matching neutral ribbon and twine.

Tag Set 3 by Laurie Schmidlin

There it is!  A little gift set of tags, perfect for giving as a hostess gift!

LISAAIntro

Hey there ‘Fetti Friends!! I am thrilled and so excited today, to show you my cards for this round of the Confetti Camera, the theme being “Set It Off”…creating a set of something!! I don’t know about you, but I find masculine cards a bit difficult and challenging. Let me tell you, though, the difficulty and challenge of making a masculine card fades away with the right “stuff”!! I have made four thank you cards today with the “THANKS” Confetti Cuts die from the newly released set, THANKS TAG Confetti Cuts and a couple stamped sentiments from the Fancy Words Coordinates stamp set. I am a clean and simple stamper, so you should be happy to learn that these cards are not only clean and simple in their design, but simple in that they all use the same die, layering all but the red, white and black card, and can be made easily and quickly if you, like I usually am, are in a hurry for a card. I LOVE this “THANKS” die!! It is a straight line, thick lettered sentiment, not easily found in dies, but IDEAL for masculine cards…but leave it to Jen and Reverse Confetti to create great things for US to create with!! I scored the lines on the first and last cards with my Martha Stewart Scoreboard.

IMG_5888-1
The first one has scored lines, an ombre feel of kraft colored papers, layered each 3 times.

IMG_5892-1
The second one, the thanks were die cut from the top panel, and a piece of red paper was placed behind the top panel. I die cut one more thanks in black, and put into the die cut in the corner of the card.

IMG_5900-1
This one uses the color of my favorite college UVA…layered as well.

IMG_5897-1
This last one I used the scoreboard for my lines, and layered the “THANKS”…2 times for the grays and 3 times for the red.

Masculine cards made easy…all with one wonderful die!! Thanks for taking a look…hope your day is wonderful as well!!
