Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

It feels like it’s been a little while since I last wrote a TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY post.  It really hasn’t been that long, but with all the excitement from the release, etc., it sure feels like it!

I actually don’t have a card to share today, but rather a tag or bookmark using the new GOD IS GOOD stamp set.

The base of this project is cut from the TAG ME, TOO Confetti Cuts die set.  As you will notice, there are no scallops on this panel.  To achieve this look, I cut my piece of patterned paper just a hair thinner than the TAG ME, TOO Confetti Cuts die and then brought one end through the die and only cut the top portion.

I then layered the striped panel cut from the new STITCHED FLAG TRIO Confetti Cuts die set.  I cut a hole in the center of it and then layered it with the scalloped reinforcer piece that is part of the TAG ME, TOO Confetti Cuts set.  I topped it off with ribbon and a button tied with linen thread.

The sentiment is stamped in black, matted and adhered to the base.  Easy peasy!

That’s all for today folks.  Back to the studio I go!

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans!

I bet you were expecting a TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY post, but we have something else up our sleeve today…

Spring is most definitely in the air and we are celebrating with a little hop that is all things spring…and that incorporates a lot!  From flowers and sunshine to teachers gifties and such, we have lots of Confetti Creativity to share with you today!

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store…just in time for our May 8th release (our 2nd birthday!).  Comments are open until May 1 and I’ll be posting a winner here on the Reverse Confetti blog on May 3.  By the way, is anyone else wondering how it’s already May?  Geesh…time flies!

After the project pics in this post you are going to find 3 things…

1) A full list of hoppers, just in case of any breaks, etc.

2) Information on ANOTHER chance to win Reverse Confetti goodness

3) A special National Scrapbook Day announcement

. . . . .

If I was asked to pick a color to describe spring it would be yellow!  Yellow seems to wipe away the gloom of winter and that is the inspiration that I had in mind for this project…

I got these cute plastic bottles and knew exactly what I wanted to do with them…fill them up with sweet goodness.  Pineapple Jelly Bellies to be exact!  I may have had to taste a few while creating…you know, just to make sure they weren’t poisonous or anything!

And, I may have just had a couple more of the left over ones in the bag.  Shhhh!

To create the tag, I used the scallop topped banner from the new LAYERED BANNER DUO Confetti Cuts die set.  I then stamp the word “sunshine” from the SHINE BRIGHT stamp set in black and colored it in with a yellow Copic marker.

Then, I layered the sun from the SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set and the layered cuts from the HELLO Confetti Cuts die…

The finishing touch was a yellow rhinestone (matted with a punched circle).  Gotta love a little bling!

I made these for 3 of my girlfriends for our girl’s night out.  Ironically, it was pouring rain.

Hello and Happy Tuesday ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s  TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY and I have a super fun and easy card to share with you that uses some of the new April release goodies.

What kind of cards to you send?  For me aside from holidays, it’s birthday, friend/hello, thank you and sympathy for the most part.  I love sending a card just to send one and I know that the person on the other end gets a smile from it.  Seriously, when is the last time you got snail mail “just because?”

This card is the perfect card for just that “occasion…”

I stamped the word “hello” from the new COLOR ME HAPPY stamp set on the lined card from the Piña Colada QUICK CARD PANELS. Then layered it with a white die cut from the HELLO Confetti Cuts die.  It needed just a little something, so I added the banner/flag from the new LAYERED BANNER DUO Confetti Cuts set and stitched across.

I added that panel to a card base that I had already adhered patterned paper and gray cardstock to and viola…easy peasy “just because” hello card…

Hello and Happy Tuesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

Today I have a fun little card to share with you on our TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY post.

By “little card,” I really do mean a LITTLE card!  I was messing around with some scraps and came up with a way to get three mini cards from one sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper.  Now, I know that it’s about 99.99+% probable that I didn’t “invent” this way of getting 3 cards from a piece of cardstock, but it’s kind of new to me, as I am such a fan of A2, and I want to share it with you!

First, here’s my little card measuring 3 3/8″ x 4 1/4″…

Here’s the card next to one of the others that I posted last week, to give you a better idea of the dimensions…

I had a lot of fun playing around with this card size.  You’ll be seeing more of it in our Countdown to Confetti for the SPECIAL APRIL RELEASE (sneak peeks start Sunday)!

Here’s a template for how to get three cards from just one sheet of paper.  Card base #2 shows the dimensions of each card.

To create these 3 cards…

1. Along the 11″ side, cut at 6.75.”  Taking the larger piece, cut in 2 at 4.25″ along the 8.5″ side.  Score these 2 pieces at 3.375″ (3 3/8″).

2. Take the remaining piece and trim long side to 6.75″ and then score in the center at 3.375″

This card features one of the sentiments from the March Release set, SHINE BRIGHT, along with new SUN ‘N CLOUDS and Documented (Rounded Rectangle) Confetti Cuts dies.  I layered the sun for added dimension and added a little bling with rhinestone…

Want to know what’s extra great about these cards?  In addition to them being a super sweet size, they still fit great in your A2 envelopes. You could also punch a hole through the top left to create a tag/card combo.

I’ll be slipping this one into my daughter’s lunchbox for a midday pick-me-up!

Howdy ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Tuesday!

I hope that you all aren’t buried by the spring snow that I keep seeing all over my Facebook and Instagram feeds.  Mother Nature gave us so much rain last week, but now we are enjoying perfectly sunny days.  It’s only a matter of time before it becomes unbearably muggy, so we’ve been taking it in while the taking is good!

I’m glad I’ve had some indoor creating time, too!  I’m for some more of that this week (key word: hoping).  If anyone sees my mojo out there, go ahead and send it back my way.   It seems that it took off sometime yesterday morning and hasn’t been seen since.  Fortunately, I was able to create the TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY card for this post before it decided to go on hiatus.

I had fun with my Distress Inks with Heidi Swapp Color Shine here to create creatively colored Easter eggs (cut from the MORE THAN JELLYBEANS Confetti Cuts)…

The grass was created with the new DOUBLE EDGE WONKY SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die.  Since it’s a double sided die there is is seem between the bottom of the grass and the blades of grass that I (oh-so-creatively) “hid” with the sentiment (from Carton Cuties).  *wink*

I layered two suns cut from the new SUN ‘N CLOUDS Confetti Cuts die set and topped them off with a sequin and rhinestone combo.  The card seemed to need a little bling here and that tied in perfectly to the golden splashes on the eggs.

These eggs remind me of the ones that my lil’ guy makes when he can’t decide which color to dye his egg.  Well, except for the fact that a few of his end up just plain brown because of color indecision.  Any other mom that can relate to this?

Hello, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Tuesday!

It’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY and today I have a very clean and simple (CAS) card to share with you featuring PUPPY LOVE and the coordinating PUPPY LOVE Confetti Cuts dies.

I have to admit that when I started this card I did not have any intentions of making it clean and simple, but everything I did didn’t seem quite “right.”  No matter what I did with paper, colors or embellishments I just wasn’t getting the results I was looking for.  Then, I put these cute pups down on the card base and I love how they popped off the white.  It’s *really* hard for me to do a single layer card (and be happy with it), so I popped them up on a white piece of cardstock that is matted with another white piece of cardstock…on top of more white cardstock.  My husband jokes that I am going through my “white period.”

The pups are colored with Copics and I added a little rhinestone to her bow as a finishing touch.  The heart sentiment is also die cut and popped up.

Detail shot…

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans!

I hope those of you that had a 3-day weekend thoroughly enjoyed it.  I spent the weekend throwing a party for my “baby” that is now FIVE, working on new stamp and Confetti Cuts designs (oh.em.gee…you are going to love what we have designed/planned) and basking in the 70* sunshine that we were blessed with for the past couple of days.  Oh…and I got a little bit of “create time” in, too!  That’s what I call a pretty darn good weekend!

Well, it’s Tuesday so it’s time for TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!

Shaker cards are back in a big way!  I remember creating these at my neighbors stamp camps just a *few* years ago and it’s exciting that the trend has come back around, especially with sequins being so hot, too!

To create the window, I used the large rounded rectangle panel from the new DOCUMENTED Confetti Cuts die set and one of the PRETTY PANELS that I had on my desk.  I simply put both of them on top of the gray heart paper and ran it through my Big Shot and viola…window!

The acetate and the backing that the sentiment (from LOVE BLOOMS) is on, are also cut from the large rounded rectangle from the DOCUMENTED Confetti Cuts die set.

On the top of the frame, I stamped and die cut flowers and leaves from LOVE BLOOMS with the coordinating LOVE BLOOMS Confetti Cuts.  Don’t you love that color?  It’s Papaya Cream pigment ink from ColorBox.  It just looks perfect with these flowers!

As you can see, I used a variety of sizes and colors of sequins.  These soft subtle tones play well off of the flowers and coordinate nicely with the other colors on the card.  While we thought (and thought!) about bringing sequins into the Reverse Confetti product line-up, we ultimately decided to pass.  I get all of my sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and Cartwright’s Sequins (they have a TON).

One last shot of all these pretty sequins…

. . . . .

That’s all for now!  I have more stamp and Confetti Cuts designs to work on (squeeeeeel).

Hello ‘Fetti Fans and welcome to TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!

I have to admit that most times I create just to create.  Those projects go into my stash to be used later.  However, when I create with a certain person/event in mind, I have so much fun.  That was the case with this card that I made for my hubby’s cousin’s upcoming wedding.

Flowers from the PETALS ‘N POSIES stamp set, along with the coordinating PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts were an obvious choice, but I decided to do a slightly non-traditional color palette for this fun couple.  The sentiment is from the IN A BIG WAY sentiment stamp set and I love how it takes center stage here (on a debossed circle from CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS).

Stop the presses…I got technique-y again.  I had so much fun with embossing paste the last time I used it, I went ahead and reached for it again to create the textured chevron background on the white panel. (Sorry, I don’t know who made the stencil, as it was a find at a craft show with no label).

I put the finishing touches on it with a few sequins…since every wedding card should have a little bling!

Detail shot…

Guess what?  I had so much fun with the embossing paste again that I made another card.  I’ll be blogging that tomorrow, along with how I took another “technique-y” step with it.

Hello ‘Fetti Fans!

I have to tell you that we (I) have been working on some super fabulous stuff for upcoming releases!

Prepare to be amazed.  Seriously.  I am so excited about what is about to be in store in the upcoming months.

I have had several people ask when the holiday release is coming out.  Our winter holiday release is on November 8th.  I promise that it is worth the wait.

I’ve been having a lot of fun using the extra circles that are part of the brand new ROUNDABOUT stamp set.   I stamped them in pink and gold here on a TAG ME, TOO Confetti Cuts die cut (this may be one of my favorite dies EVER) and stamped a sentiment from the new IN A BIG WAY stamp set…

The circles are stamped and stamped again in pink and orange and then I added the sequin stamped in gold for a fun bokeh effect. I didn’t want to take away from the colors in the bokeh, so I kept the reinforcer circle white and then added pink ribbon and tied it off with orange/white baker’s twine.

I’m keeping it short and sweet today, my friends.  Have a great day!

Hello and Happy Tuesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

It’s TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY, but instead of a card I have something extra special to share with you…

I created this banner for the CKC event that we attended earlier this month in San Marcos, TX.  Just about everyone that came into the booth asked about the dies, etc.  Originally, I didn’t think that  I was going to blog it, but since it was such a hit I thought I would share it with you.

Do you recognize the banner?

Yes!  It’s the pennant from the WINNING Confetti Cuts die set…

I flipped it so that the point was down and cut it from a variety of pattern papers in my stash.

Then, I layered it with the smaller circle from the CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set and topped it with a stamped (LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS) pink circle, also from the WINNING Confetti Cuts die set.  To embellish, I cut stars from the OH MY STARS Confetti Cuts die set and topped them with green sequins and orange enamel dots.

Detail shot of a single embellished pennant…

I love when I get to “stretch” the use of my stamp and dies.  This is just one way to get more from the WINNING Confetti Cuts die set.  Don’t be too surprised if you see another banner or two using these Confetti Cuts and stamps for the upcoming holidays!
