I have a couple of projects to share with you today and then I am going to send you on your way to see all the Confetti Creativity that the Crew has for you!

First up is a project using the new BITTY BANNERS stamps and Confetti Cuts.  I paired it with the (previously released) YOU ARE A STAR Confetti Cuts and SO STRIPEY stamps for a fun, cute and easy lil’ treat…

DSC_0795

I hot glued the stars onto paper straws that I cut down and added them into mini corrugated cups filled with coordinating Sixlets candies.  This would be such a great addition to a place setting for a birthday, graduation, wedding, etc.

Detail shots…

As a finishing touch, I added the gold sequins.

These can easily be personalized with just a switch of colors…so many possibilities!

With the end of the school year just around the corner, I find myself wanting to create for my kiddos’ teachers.  I absolutely love the new ALL APPLES stamps and Confetti Cuts dies and I know that I will be reaching for them a lot for upcoming Teacher Appreciation and end of the year projects.

I used the new INSTA-FRAME Confetti Cuts die directly on my card front and added the black cardstock panel that I stamped the dashed lines on (from the RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW stamp set).

WINTER & HOLIDAY COFFEE LOVERS BLOG HOP

By Jen del Muro
on December 11, 2015

Hello ‘Fetti Fans…

We’re super excited to be a part of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop both as a participant and a sponsor!

The theme for this one is Winter/Holiday and everyone is invited to play along!  All of the details for the hop, prizes and how you can join in the fun can be found HERE.

BlogHopGraphic

. . . . .

I had a lot of fun creating a card for this hop!

DSC_0375

The base of the card is covered with kraft plaid paper (LOVEEE this stuff)!  I stitched around the edges to add a little bit of texture and I think it’s the perfect touch to this card.

DSC_0372

From there I layered 2 large wreaths cut from the WREATHS Confetti Cuts die set.  On top of wreath is a cup from the CAFFEINATED CUPS stamp set (cut with the coordinating Confetti Cuts die set).  I colored it in ombre red, just like the red cups currently found at Starbucks.

I cut the cup sleeve from kraft paper and ran it through my paper crimper so that it would resemble a real sleeve.  On top of that is the word “joy” cut from the WINTER WORDS Confetti Cuts.

For a finishing touch, I added gold hearts cut from the YOU ARE A STAR Confetti Cuts die set and topped them with gold sequins and gold rhinestones.

CONFETTI CAMERA

By Jen del Muro
on July 23, 2015

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans!

Are you local to North Texas?  If so, I hope you will join us this weekend!

MNT

. . . . .

Happy Thursday and welcome to the latest CONFETTI CAMERA!

ConfettiCameraRCblog

A little bit about Confetti Camera…

In this weekly segment, one of the Confetti Crew designers will have the camera on both themselves, as a designer, and on their Reverse Confetti creations. For this round, you’ll get a dose of Reverse Confetti inspiration from throwback projects from each of our designers.  I have been stamping for a long time and I have seen things come and go and then come around.  A primary example of this is shaker cards.  We’re taking a look back to those “way back when” projects and breathing new life into them.

A couple of things to note:

1) This segment will not “air” if there is a different post scheduled for that day, such as Sketch for You to Try on the 1st of each month or on a hop or sneak peek day.

2) Each designer will follow the same theme until we have featured every Confetti Crew Design Team Member (then it’s a new round with new questions/theme). To see previous Confetti Camera post, simply click on “Confetti Camera” under the categories link on our sidebar.

. . . . .

Today, the spotlight is on the fun and wildly talented, LISA HENKE

LisaHIntroPic

. . . . .

Hello! I loved the theme of this round of Confetti Camera, “Everything Old is New Again” challenge. I went looking back through the Tutorials page on Splitcoast Stampers. OH, MY there is a wealth of info and tutorials over there. I stumbled upon a beaded pen tutorial and remember that being one of the first non-card project I ever did when I began paper crafting. Lucky me, I still had half a container of clear micro beads. I didn’t just want to do the pen and then I remembered these Corner Bookmarks we made at a class I taught years ago.

RC-bookmark pen combo-A

The book mark was quick and easy. If you are a member on SCS you can find the tutorial listed under Corner Book Mark. You need a 4 inch square piece of card stock, mark the center of three sides and score them to fold in two triangles. Cut a smaller square, 2 3/4 inches and cut in half to create your customized stamped piece.

RC-bookmarkB

I used the gorgeous new YOU ARE A STAR stamp set and matching Confetti Cuts to decorate my book mark. My son is working hard om his summer reading for school, so I thought this would put a smile on his face. I picked some bright, fun, but boyish colors. I added some white dots along the bottom strip with WHOLE LOTTA DOTS. The orange dots are from ROUNDABOUT.

RC-camera book mark C

Here is the backside and how it slips onto the book page.

RC- camera-bookmark backside D

The coordinating pen was simple, too. I used a 2×4 mailing label to stamp my design on.

rc-camera pen and cap E

I used the same You Are a Star stamps in the same colors, but this time added punches of orange with the COLOR ME HAPPY stamp set. I needed to fill in the white space a little more since I would be wrapping the label around the pen.

rc-pen design F

Next use a strong double sided tape (I like to use Red Line tape) to cover the stamped label. Peel off the stamped label with the red line still attached and wrap it around the pen. When you have the pen wrapped, remove the liner and roll into micro beads. Give them a good pressing, I like to use a bone folder for extra pressure and to make sure the beads adhere to the tap.

rc-pen tape G

Here’s a closer look at the finished pen. A nice finishing touch was a small die cut star from You are a Star Confetti Cut tied on with some silver twine around the pen cap.

I hope you’ll feel inspired to try something old and make it new again. Thanks so much!

WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS

By Jen del Muro
on July 15, 2015

Howdy, ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Hump Day!

This week is zooming on by and we have a great WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS here for you today!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS?

It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between. Today, Confetti Crew member, Sarah Gough, shows you how she uses the new YOU ARE A STAR stamps and coordinating Confetti Cuts, as well as several of her other faves.  You are going to love the video she has come up with for you…and you may learn a trick or two!

. . . . .

SarahIntroPic

I don’t think it’s a secret that I love Confetti Cuts, and the new You Are a star Confetti Cuts and stamp set are so much fun! I use the dies in a number of ways on this card, and show you a couple of pieces that didn’t make the finished card but are ways to stretch your dies even further! And if you don’t know how very simple it is to cut out your stamped images with Confetti Cuts – I’m going to show you that too!

My hop project today features the new YOU ARE A STAR stamp set along with the coordinating YOU ARE A STAR Confetti Cuts die set…

Star1

I stamped the “Be Amazing” star in a coral ink on white cardstock and cut it out with the YOU ARE A STAR Confetti Cuts.  I then used the die set to cut more stars from glitter paper and patterned paper.

The paint splatters are from the previously released COLOR ME HAPPY stamp set, which was conveniently on the top of my stamp pile.

Star1detail

My finishing touches on this card are the clear sequins and the thread wrapped around the main star…I love what that brought to this card!

. . . . .

Are you ready?  Let’s go!

First up is a totally Pinterest inspired product.  First, here is one of my inspiration pics…

I wasn’t searching out anything when a few items like this came across my feed and I looked at them and thought that it would be a fun thing to make…and then…**lightbulb moment**

And, a new die set was born.  Introducing…

POSTED NOTE

CC_PostedNoteProductGraphics

This 4 piece die set contains a rounded rectangle that is the “board,” as well as a decorative stand (with debossing lines), a finial (also with debossing lines) and a clip (again, with a detailed debossing line).

We’ve also created a sentiment set that pairs perfectly with the POSTED NOTE Confetti Cuts die set (or it can be used on its own). Introducing…

POSTED NOTE SENTIMENTS

PostedNoteSentimentsProductGraphic

. . . . .

I see so many possibilities with these 2 products!

My first card today has the POSTED NOTE Confetti Cuts die set paired with the “thanks so very much” sentiment from the coordinating sentiment set.

PostedCard

After I cut the rectangle from kraft cardstock, I placed it in the center of the new WOODGRAIN Confetti Cuts die to get the woodgrain debossing detail.  I love how this looks!

WoodgrainProductGraphic

Detail shot…

PostedDetail1

To create the look of a piece of paper from a notebook, I used the perforated line die from the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts die set.  My finishing touch on this card is the leaves (FRESH ‘N FRUITY Confetti Cuts die set) along with the large orange rhinestone.  I love the pop of color that it gives!

PostedDetail

. . . . .

My lil’ guy is headed to Kindergarten in the fall (say it ain’t so).  I think I’ll keep this cute notecard set on hand to give to his teacher on the first day…

TakeNoteSet

I created 6 of these 4.25″ square cards and they came together in a jiffy…and you know me and my dislike for mass production!  It was so fun and easy that I may just have to make another set for my daughter’s teacher.

Detail shot showing debossing feature on the POSTED NOTE Confetti Cuts die set.  The sentiment, from POSTED NOTE SENTIMENTS, is stamped on a paper that I had stamped with the notebook image from CLASS ACT in light blue…

There’s even more to see today!

Introducing…

YOU ARE A STAR

YouAreAStarProductGraphic

And the coordinating Confetti Cuts die set…

CC_YouAreAStarProductGraphic

I just LOVE this stamp set (and the dies, too, of course).  I made 2 cards the first time I sat down and played with it.

The stars with the “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” sentiment take center stage on this card.  They are mounted on a frame created with the SHAKERS ‘N FRAMES Confetti Cuts die set.

TwinkleCard1

Detail shots…

TwinkleCard1detail1

TwinkleCard1detail

. . . . .

As you can see, this second card was created with many of the same materials as the first.  I usually clean up my desk after each creation to start fresh, but I was having fun with what was in front of me (plus I had cut 3 additional stars) and I just went with it.

TwinkleCard2

Detail shot of the stars dangling by linen thread…

TwinkleCard2detail

Although I was tempted, I decided to forgo the sequins and rhinestones on this card as I didn’t want them getting bumped off by the movement of the stars.
