Hello and Happy Tuesday, ‘Fetti Fans!
Today I have a fun little card to share with you on our TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY post.
By “little card,” I really do mean a LITTLE card! I was messing around with some scraps and came up with a way to get three mini cards from one sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper. Now, I know that it’s about 99.99+% probable that I didn’t “invent” this way of getting 3 cards from a piece of cardstock, but it’s kind of new to me, as I am such a fan of A2, and I want to share it with you!
First, here’s my little card measuring 3 3/8″ x 4 1/4″…
Here’s the card next to one of the others that I posted last week, to give you a better idea of the dimensions…
I had a lot of fun playing around with this card size. You’ll be seeing more of it in our Countdown to Confetti for the SPECIAL APRIL RELEASE (sneak peeks start Sunday)!
Here’s a template for how to get three cards from just one sheet of paper. Card base #2 shows the dimensions of each card.
To create these 3 cards…
1. Along the 11″ side, cut at 6.75.” Taking the larger piece, cut in 2 at 4.25″ along the 8.5″ side. Score these 2 pieces at 3.375″ (3 3/8″).
2. Take the remaining piece and trim long side to 6.75″ and then score in the center at 3.375″
This card features one of the sentiments from the March Release set, SHINE BRIGHT, along with new SUN ‘N CLOUDS and Documented (Rounded Rectangle) Confetti Cuts dies. I layered the sun for added dimension and added a little bling with rhinestone…
Want to know what’s extra great about these cards? In addition to them being a super sweet size, they still fit great in your A2 envelopes. You could also punch a hole through the top left to create a tag/card combo.
I’ll be slipping this one into my daughter’s lunchbox for a midday pick-me-up!
