Howdy ‘Fetti Fans and Happy Tuesday!

I hope you all are keeping safe and warm!  I rushed home from the DFW area due to an impending ice storm and cheerfully arrived to a balmy 75*…and then woke up to 38* this morning and the mercury didn’t move upward much.  Gotta love Texas like that!  I am seriously ready for flip-flop weather! Can I get an AMEN?

. . . . .

It’s Tuesday and that means TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY!

I know that some might think that I live under a rock having only recently “discovered” Distress Inks.  It’s not that I haven’t know about them; it’s just that I’ve kinda steered away from them.  As you know, I’m a self proclaimed “non-techniquey” person, so these didn’t immediately speak to me.  But now that I’ve had a chance to play with them, I like them and the way they work with Reverse Confetti products.

Here’s a card I did where I basically created my own “patterned” paper with them and then used a large circle stamp from the ROUNDABOUT ADDITIONS stamp set in a coordinating color to create a clean and simple, yet eye-catching card…

The splash effect on the Distressed Inked panel was created simply by splashing water on the completed/colored panel.

Detail shot…

The “birthday wishes” sentiment is cut with the coordinating CIRCLES ‘N SCALLOPS Confetti Cuts die set.
