Hello ‘Fetti Fans! For those of you that had a long weekend, I hope you enjoyed the extra time that could be spent and cherished  with family and friends.  Here in the del Muro household, we definitely had a great relaxing weekend.  Part of the weekend was spent prepping for my daughter’s upcoming birthday party.  I always say that I am not a theme person, but the last few years I have really gotten into preparing my kid’s parties.  I don’t do anything too crazy, but I definitely try to put a personal touch on it.  This year’s “theme” is a splash party.  I’ve been working a little here and there all weekend with the HAPPY HARBOR set making cupcake toppers and then some. I can’t wait to show you the finished product!  Sorry for the tease, but it’s just not quite ready yet!

What is ready is my card for TIME FOR A CARD TUESDAY using PEACOCK PRETTIES

I have really been wanting to do a few things with this set and stamping the feathers in just plain ol’ black is one of them.  I’ve been drawn to stamping them in color because peacocks are so beautiful and colorful, but stamping them in black and making the rest of the card in color makes them stand out a little more.  The feather in this set is substantial enough to be a large focal image. But, by stamping and cutting two, I basically made them into embellishments for the feather eye and sentiment panel.

Detail shot…

I had to reach for the gold sequins to play off the rest of the color palette.  The aqua sequins are adorned with charcoal sequins to give a little extra, yet understated bling.
