Hi friends! Lien here and I'm back with a cutesy Christmas card. As always I'll have a video tutorial linked below as well!
For this card I started out by stamping a fun little backdrop for my critter. I used the merry Christmas text block stamp from the Patterned Panels stamp set and stamped that repeatedly in clear embossing ink onto my white panel. I wanted it to fade out towards the edges so I rubbed some of the ink off the edges of the stamp every time before I stamped it. I then heat embossed this with WOW Bright White Super Fine embossing powder. Then I can bring in some of the Piggy Bank ink to blend some color onto the panel.
I stamped the little bear from the Polar Party stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in with my alcohol markers. I fussy cut him out (though you could also use the Coordinating Confetti Cuts and then figured I needed something to ground the image onto my background.
I also wanted to add a more visible sentiment to my card so I figured I'd use the sentiment as the grounding element. I used the Merry Christmas stamp from the Sparkle and Shine Sentiments stamp set and stamped that straight over the background with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed that with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder. The white embossed background will show through a little bit, but the sentiment is still very legible. To put the card together I put a piece of pink cardstock on top of a white notecard and then propped my panel up on a piece of cardboard. I used some foam tape to prop up the bear and then added a couple of clear heart embellishments to finish it up!
If you'd like to see how I made this card plus a fun matching envelope, please watch the video below! Thank you so much for visiting!
