Hello and Happy Wednesday, ‘Fetti Fans!

We are settling in nicely here in Cypress, TX…and prepping for our first house guests this week.  Needless to say, there hasn’t been a dull moment around here for the past couple weeks! If there are any local ‘Fetti Fans out there, please let me know!

. . . . .

It’s Wednesday and time for WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS!

What is WEDNESDAY IN THE WORKS? It’s not really about one thing in particular, but rather “the works” of a stamped card or project.  A variety of topics will be covered in this segment… from color combos to shaped cards to inspiration pieces to mixing and matching stamps and/or papers…and everything in between.

While I have been keeping busy with all of the behind the scenes stuff for Reverse Confetti, my “studio time” has been next to nothing (sniffle, sniffle).  I did, however, get a little play time last week.  I am sure that many of you can relate to what happens when you are away from your stamps/inks/dies for a while…the mojo is a no go.  So, today I want to chat a little bit about the process I went through to create these cards, which ended up being some of my faves of all time.

The first thing I did was grab some paper I that I bought before the move.  I swear it has been calling my name every time I walk into my office!  Next, I thought about a few of the “techniques” or things that I have liked about past projects and I came up with layering the LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts die along with the large tag from the TAG ME Confetti Cuts die set.  I really love creating “tab tuck” cards (created with the OFFICE EDGES Confetti Cuts – tutorial HERE), too, so I put those few things together and came up with this card trio…

I dressed up the layered LOVE NOTE and TAG ME Confetti Cuts with the new PETALS ‘N POSIES Confetti Cuts.

The tag is stamped with a sentiment from the PAPER CRANE set and was chosen because I thought it was a great sentiment for these cards that are going to the kiddos’ teachers.

This is just me having some fun with my new camera.  For inquiring minds…SonyHX300.  I have had my eye on a Nikon SLR for a long time, but I haven’t wanted to make that kind of investment.  I came across this one on clearance at Target and I am LOVING it!  Easy to use and I really like the picture quality.
